M93p-10AB 3 Displays

We got one these M92p's for a customer with 3 identical monitors. The M92 has a VGA, a DP and an HDMI connector. All works fine with the VGA plugged in and the DP connected via a DP to vga adapter. when we try to add the HDMI port via an HDMI to VGA adapter we get the windows 7 detection bepps and then immedaitely get the failure beeps constantly repeating with all three screens going black and coming back on continously. If i cold boot with everything connected then windows never actual gets to a login prompt. The specs on this model specifically state capable of 3 monitor display and has three seperate monitor outputs. is there something I am missing?

well according to the specs on the website for this model it can support up to 4 monitors if you use an active display port to DVI splitter on the DP. to use 3 monitors independently you should be able to use the HDMI, the DP and the VGA. If the HDMI worked by itself with nothing else connected I would agree that for some reason it only accepts 2 monitors and that the hdmi and dp are shared but I get a very brief flash of the Lenovo splash screen when I power it on and then a black screen while the PC boots up. The black screen remains and never goes away. you can however hear the new hardware found tone in the background immediately followed by the hardware disconnected tone over and over again. this is what is leading me to believe a faulty HDMI port/motherboard. since the HDMI port is an addon port I suppose the connector could be loose on the motherboard so I will actually have to open it up and take a look at it.

Dear all,
i've purchase a M93p pc and when i try to connect it to a monitor or tv with the adapter cable DP - HDMI the monitor/tv says "no input signal", but works if i connect the vga port.
The M93 has the Intel HD 4600 videocard.

I'm not sure how good those converter cables are. Lenovo sells adapters, rebranded Startech in the past, and recommends Belkin. I running a Startech passive DP to DVI on my M91p built-in DP.

For your application, you want a Passive, single-link (if DVI), full-size (not mini) adapter. Is it possibe for you to borrow somebody's adapter to test?

Thinkcentre M93P Win 7 (64) Will Not Blank Display

Brand new M93P will not blank the display. I have a DP-DVI Cable, Samsung monitor. I try all different settings in power manager, Win7, and can not get the display to blank after xx minutes. Ideas? Thanks

Well, that's the "answer". If you are not even getting the screen saver to come on, then there's no way the power-save mode (i.e. putting the monitor to sleep, so that its power LED changes color and the screen goes dark) will EVER kick in! The second stage (i.e. power-save mode after some specified period of time of system inactivity) is dependent on the first stage first, where the screen saver kicks in after some specified period of system inactivity. It's only when the period of system inactivity exceeds the screensaver time limit and now reaches the power-save time limit that the monitor will be put to sleep.
So... something is running in your system which is convincing Windows that it is "active". Normally this would require human interface activities, like mouse or keyboard, but it sounds like in your system some task is running in the background which is "keeping the system active", as if you yourself were touching the mouse or keyboard.
I'd investigate using Task Manager, to see what's running. It might not be a bad idea to run a "cocktail" of anti-malware elimination steps (as detailed in this "recipe") on the off-chance something malicious has insinuated itself on your system that you're not aware of.
Excellent observation, about the screen saver never kicking in. That's the "giant clue" that something is running on your system which is simulating a human interface, in my opinion. Without first getting the screen saver as you should, you will NEVER get the power-save second stage as you want.

M93p+HD8570+Win7+KB267038/IE10: WMP crashes with BEX error playing AVI

Apparently this one's been out and known about for a while, but I just ran into it this week while finishing up the custom software install on a newly received M93p with Windows 7 Pro x64, which also included the AMD HD8570 graphics upgrade. Driver for the HD8570 (OEM) is provided by Lenovo, not by AMD. This is not a retail AMD card, but a Lenovo-provided OEM upgrade of an AMD card, and the drivers are only available from Lenovo.
Turns out Windows Media Player 12 on Win7 with the AMD HD8570 graphics on the M93p cannot play AVI files now, instead crashing with a BEX error.
Turns out this is caused by a Microsoft update KB2670838 in conjunction with certain AMD graphics and machine chipsets (Q87 on the M93p), which apparently includes the discrete HD8570 and the M93p. There is a discussion of this problem on Sevenforums in this thread, as well as in other places on the Internet.
Unfortunately, KB2670838 is also tied to the Windows Update that delivered IE10. So if you selectively UNINSTALL the KB2670838 update (which DOES eliminate the BEX error in WMP when playing AVI files) you also trigger the backout of IE10 which reverts back to the originally delivered IE8... which is probably undesirable for most of us. So while you now CAN play AVI files again, you're sadly back to IE8.
Also, the most recent Windows Update to IE11 in Win7 also retains KB2670838, so really any "current" version of IE beyond IE8 with this particular AMD hardware is going to see this BEX crash when WMP plays AVI files. There simply is no way to selectively uninstall KB2670838 by itself, while retaining IE10 or IE11.
Rumor has it that MS is "working on a fix", but for the moment it is obviously not publicly available.
That's the story. Just wanted to share what information I now am aware of.
If you do want to install IE10 or IE11 on Win7 and with the M93p and HD8570, then your temporary "solution" in this particular hardware/software configuration is to instead use some other media player program when wanting to play an AVI that you would otherwise use WMP for. For example, the English version of the excellent Pot Player is a superb alternative, as it plays EVERYTHING!!

I am having almost exactly the same problem with Lightroom 4 and now, with Lightroom 5.
I was able to import .NEF photos, .PEF and .RW2 RAW formats from the folders already on my external RAID harddrive. However, I was unable to import video from the same folders. My problem is exactly like the one ntreuter was having -- I can sometimes get a few video files to import, but then the import process runs for a very long time,and I get an popup error message "There was a problem importing the video".
When I try to "syncronize folder", the same thing happens. I am unable to import any video and the process ends with the popup error message "There was a problem importing the video". Sometimes I am also unable to upload photos because the import process crashes because of video files.
This is crazy. I've searched online and there are a number of reports of this problem, but no clear solution at all.

Power up issues in lenovo thinkcentre m93p tiny desktop

Dear all
i am using lenovo thinkcentre m93p tiny desktop for some time (about 01 year) and currently i am unable to power up the said module. As soon as i plug the adapter to main supply, the tiny m93p fan starts automatically and nothing else power ups. Even i am unable to go to BIOS as display is totally blank.
Kindly tell me what can be the issue?

unit should always start even if CMOS battery is dead. The only time a unit will not start is when, motherboard goes to meet its maker or the harddrive dances into the abyss of Asmodeus.
and yes, dead CMOS battery causes the system clock to stop. I learn that the hard way .
from what you have written, i'm guessing as long as the battery is at a charge level of 70%++ everything works fine but if the charge level is low ..this is where the start-up issue begins.
try replacing the CMOS battery and see if it makes any difference

Virtual Center 1.3.1 client doesn't display

I've been having a rather perplexing issue on and off over the past 6 months or so. Randomly, when you load the 1.3.1 client it will not display. You can see it running in processes, however it will never display the login prompt. You are not able to end the process (no error, it just won't end). You are forced to reboot the computer to clear the process. It will never load again on its own though.
One method of resolution I noticed that works 25% or so of the time is to uninstall the PCI bus driver, then power off the machine. Power it back on and let it re-detect everything again. I have no idea why this would work. The only thing that I can think of is that it is removing a video profile or some hidden setting for virtual center that I can't otherwise find (I've painstakingly gone through the registry with no luck).
There are no errors in the windows application or system logs pertaining to this. I can only imagine that windows thinks the application is opening and closing successfully when its not.
This only seems to happen on the newer Lenovo desktops we have been receiving. They come with a standard VGA port and two display ports. I've had this happen on any combination of the three. All desktops have two monitors attached and all have at least one 22" Lenovo LCD monitor.
PC specs:
Lenovo M93p
i5 quad core processor with Intel onboard video (4600)
8GB of ram
500GB hard drive
Windows 7 x64 Enterprise
At this point, I am speculating that specific bios version levels coupled with specific driver versions are causing the issue.
Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to try to narrow this down? Or maybe there's a 3rd party client? I'm at a loss and its extremely frustrating.

Wow, Adobe customer support is the worst I've ever used. Not these boards, these have helped me a lot in the past, but everything else.
Support has done nothing but vehemently try to convince me that I don't have a problem. "If CC desktop says 'up-to-date' then it's up-to-date." This has been their mantra. I plead with them, "No, my version of Premiere Pro is at 7.0.0 and the current release is 7.0.1." Then they just read the same line from their script, "If it says 'up-to-date' …"
One support guy even said to me, after I explained and re-explained my issue many times, "I don't understand, so why is your other computer getting updates and this one is not?" Gee, I don't know, THAT'S WHY I'M CALLING YOU!
I'm told to try the same basic things I've tried time and time again. I keep getting passed off to other people who quickly give up and tell me there's nothing they can do except pass me off to someone else.
It's been over a month that I've had this problem, ever since I installed Creative Cloud. I have encountered lots of bugs in the software, there are certain things I cannot do in my apps and I really need to get this resolved.
Sorry to rant and rave on a forum meant for utility, but this is the worst customer support experience I've ever endured, and I guess i'm trying to illustrate that THIS FORUM IS MY ONLY HOPE.
Please, any tips, advice, suggestions, any help from you knowledgable forum members is really appreciated. I really like the CC suite in theory, but I can't continue to be a creative cloud member if I am resigned to only using buggy release software for the foreseeable future on my primary computer.
I am not going to pay $50 a month for something so broken that I am not getting any support on.

M93p Tiny with 2 DP Monitors under Linux

We have several M93p Tiny machines with a second display port in the back. All of the ones running windows work fine, but I have just installed Linux (Ubuntu 14.04 at the moment) on one, and only the monitor plugged in to the primary port appears to be working, although everything else works fine. Can anyone confirm whether this should or should not work? Or maybe point me in the right direction of what hardware is involved in that second port?

Nevermind. Apparently making sure the cable is plugged in all the way is an important step In case anyone else happens to be wondering about this, it works perfectly fine.

I have developed a BI report with more number of parameters.
Case 1:
When i run my report , I am able to see data for particular condition but one column doesn't show any thing. All the rows in the column are blank.
Case 2
I tried to put the blank column as parameter, The Program works with out displaying that column data.
I am not sure where it is going wrong. I tried running the code in toad and i am able to see the data.
I have checked the code, Parameter description, length, Template and data definition.

check ur template once by loading the xml data...
check that column form field that matches with the xml tag or not..

Using mini-DVI to VGA adapter to Samsung display

I have 2009 late model of mac mini, The text on display looks washed out, not clear or sharp at all from day one, I thought it was the old model of monitor, tried the same cable to another monitor on another computer, SAME. so I thought the problem could be the cable or adapter.
It's hard for me to believe is the signal from computer. I'm using VGA adapter made by Dynex bought from Best Buy.

Yeah, My old Samsung is lcd synmaster 17", bought many years ago at around $1000. Crazy, crazy price looked back. It's fine when I used it on the retired old Dell. It must be the adapter, trying not to buy another VGA adapter, could not image my next lcd will use one, anyway.
This cable has only 14 pins vs 15 pins on the other cable, not sure if it matters?? Or if Safari has anything to do with it??

Mini-dvi to video adapter changing display on macbook?

I recently purchased a mini-dvi to video adapter for my macbook to be able to view photos and video on my tv. I'm having trouble with the display on my computer when I use the adapter. As soon as I plug in the mini-dvi video adapter into the computer the display on my computer switches from 1280 X 800 to 640 X 480. Attached to the adapter I have an s-video cable to my tv. The display shows the same on the tv but in black and white.

Turn mirroring off. That way the two displays can run independently from one another. The mirroring check box is in Displays Preferences under the Arrangement tab.

Display problems using mini-dvi to video adapter

I recently purchased the mini-dvi to video adapter for my powerbook to use my TV as a monitor and to play pictures and videos from the laptop to the TV. I am getting a full color display on the TV, but it's only the screen saver. None of my files, text, or any other desktop folders or menus appear when I open them up on the laptop. The only screen that opens is the display preferences when I open that up, but it's a different set of preferences than what's in my computer's display preferences, as it's header is "NTSC/PAL". But other than that 1 menu, nothing is appearing but the screen saver.

OK, I discovered that I didn't know what I was doing. With the Mini-DVI to video adapter, you need to use an S-Video cable that plugs into an S-video jack on the TV, and then you need a separate cable to plug into the audio out jack on the MacBook to plug into the TV.
I think you could also use an S-video to RCA component cable if you have a TV with component video input, but I couldn't get that to work so I went to the s-video to s-video cable.

Step 1, I created Answer-request, create .rtf file with Word and add the request name, Add bar chart and table, preview PDF is working fine with data, Upload this template to Answers, View Template from Answer is working fine with data.
Step 2, Answers – More Products > BI Publisher > My Folders > Create a new report > Edit > Data Model > New > Type: SQL Query > Data Source: Oracle BI EE > Query Builder > from SupplierSales assign Customer, Periods, Sales Facts (select Region, state, Year, Units Shipped) > Results > Save > Save
Click Layouts > New > enter Name ….. > Click Layouts > borrows .rtf file in Manage T file > Upload > Save > Click View
It is showing only the .rtf file without data. Why there is no data?
Please guide me to solve this issue.

We dint face this kind of issue while developing other reports.

View not displaying the data in some of the clients

DB 11gr1
OS- RHEL 5.6, 64 bit
We have an application which is built using .net , but the database is 11gR1 we are connecting vis ODAC ... it was working good.
But when we treid to move to other server, we created a user B , created a VIEW.
But we are facing one strange problem that - when i query its showing data in client PC , but when i ran it from Windows Server 2008 R2 edtion no data is displaying?

Can not properly view cover flow in full screen in external display

My mac is the new Mac book pro 15.4 inch screen and I connect my mac pro to external display e.g. Samsung LCD monitor 24 inches.
The bug is that I can not PROPERLY view full screen (in external display) for some application e.g. iTunes, and Front Row.
- When I use iTunes, I can not properly view Cover Flow view in full screen (in the external display screen) except the case of mirror display.
- For Front Row, I can not view full screen in external display but only my mac display.
However, for other DVD or VDO players, I can view movie on external display in full screen and I still be able to do other works on my mac screen.
Please let me know how to solve it.
