M93z - missing driver in System update

Hi,
Missing driver for cardreader when using latest System update. Can you please publish this one ASAP?
Realtek Card Reader Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit)
c1car10us17.exe
Type: 10AD

Isn't this what you are looking for HERE? Drivers for the card reader show up in the matrix under "Camera/Card reader", there are also drivers for Windows 8 and 8.1.

  • Missing driver and "System Interrupts"

    Hello!
I found 2 problems on my brand new HP Pavilion 11-n070eg x360 :
    - In Device Manager, i have a missing driver und "Other Devices" (See screenshot). Tried to update / install, but dont know what it is. Also tried "Slim Drivers" to check for missing drivers, didnt find anything. Also HP Support Assistent doenst find missing software / drivers.
    - In Taskmanager there is a process called "System Interrupts" (See screenshot). It takes CPU power from 15%-30%.
It disappeared after a restart, but know its back after a while! I read online it has something to do with missing / corrupt drivers, so i hope there is a connection between my to problems.
    Name:           HP Pavilion 11-n070eg x360 ( Intel )
    Product ID:  00258-60101-73698-AAOEM
    Windows 8.1 x64 (everything up-to-date)
bought 2 weeks ago, not much installed. Standard Antivirus (Windows Defender), no Tuneup Software installed.
Thank you very much, i hope someone can help.

Then you will need to post the hardware ID for the unknown device, because I played my one guess card and lost.
Go to the device manager and click on the unknown device.
At the top of the Unknown Device window, click on the Details tab.
Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that list and select the second item (hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters you see in the window.

  • Network drives and System Update updating itself (Error 1327.Invalid Drive)

I have a Windows network share permanently mapped as a network drive on my system. This prevents Lenovo System Update 5 from updating itself.
    Here is what happens:
Launch Lenovo System Update and click Next to look for updates.
When 'Searching for agent updates' it will tell me: 'System Update is updating itself. Your copy of System Update needs to be updated. Click OK to begin updating System Update.'
Click OK, Lenovo System Update will download the update and appear to install it.
At the end it will tell me: 'System Update was installed successfully'
Click Close, just to be sure I wait for a while so System Update can finish whatever it is doing in the background (if anything at all).
When nothing appears to happen I launch Lenovo System Update manually and it will tell me it needs to update itself again, and go to the same process as above. The update did not install successfully at all. System update keeps updating itself in a loop.
Next thing I tried is manually downloading the latest System Update version from http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=TVSU-UPDATE
I downloaded systemupdate503-09-17-2013.exe for my Windows 7 machine.
The installer detects to old version of System Update and offers to uninstall that. I click Yes.
A moment later the real error appears: 'Error 1327.Invalid Drive: S:\'
The only thing I can do now is press OK to close the installer.
The S:\ drive is my network drive which is permanently mapped to a share on my NAS.
It is not an invalid drive, S:\ opens fine in Windows Explorer.
I don't know why the System Update installer wants to access my S: drive in the first place. All my applications are installed on C:. While I did move some special folders like My Pictures and My Videos to S:, the relevant folders My Documents and Desktop are still on C:.
I have found a workaround to the problem above:
Close Lenovo System Update completely when it says it needs to update itself.
Run Command Prompt as Administrator (find it in the start menu, righ-click it and 'Run as administrator').
Type 'subst s: c:\' without the quotes. Replace s: with the drive letter of your network drive, and c: should be an existing regular drive.
Now run Lenovo System Update again and let it update itself.
You'll notice System Update now restarts itself after updating and there are no problems.
Once you are done with System Update, type 'subst s: /D' to delete the substituted virtual drive. Don't worry, this will not delete your actual network drive.
The workaround does the job, but it would be nice to see an actual fix from Lenovo. I have a ThinkPad X230 running 64bit Windows 7 Professional if this is relevant.

Please try either of the workaround.
    1. Create a new Admin user, log on in that and then you can install Adobe Reader,
    or
    2. easier solution is just create a dummy folder on your machine anywhere, lets says Folder name "Dummy"  in c:\
    not go to command prompt
    and type subst I: c:\dummy
and you are all set to go.
once you are done, you can remove that virtual drive mapping by
    subst I:\  /d
please let me know if works.

  • HAL not mounting removable drives after system update

I updated all packages yestarday and after reboot, some xfce4 stuff wouldn't work (which I suppose is kinda understandable since the update seems to be big). No problems with that, quickly re-configured what was causing trouble.
HAL isn't working at all now though. I can mount usb disks manually, but nothing happens when I insert them... I followed many HAL troubleshooting instructions in the Wiki and even in these forums, but with no success.
Here's my hal.conf (to which I had to re-add the last lines because they were gone after the update. The file was apparently back to it's default values.)

  • System Update Repeats Driver Download

Hi, I've searched on the Boards for a solution to this problem and haven't been able to find it.
    I hope someone can help.
I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit on an ancient 3000 N100. Model number 0768-E5U. System Update version 3.14.0024.
My problem is that I recently had to wipe my system and start over. System update is repeatedly telling me that I need to update the driver for my Intel PROWireless 3945ABG connection ver: 12.4.3.9. Even if I accept the download and install, when I restart, it still brings it up.
I already have that driver installed.
Did I miss a driver for System Update ?
    Please help!

  • Missing driver in Update Retriever / System Update

    Hi,
We are missing a driver in Update Retriever for the T540p model:
The driver is also missing in System Update, when we query Lenovo repository directly.
Neither is the driver available for download manually on the support page.
    Device 8086:08b2
    "Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260"
    http://pci-ids.ucw.cz/read/PC/8086/08b2
    T540p (20BF-A0FHMD)
    BIOS: GMET59WW (2.07) 2014-02-12
    ECM: GMHT25WW (1.10)
    ME firmware: 9.0.22.1467
    Windows 7 pro SP1, x64
Lenovo could you please add this driver to Update Retriever?
Our deployment of this model is pretty much crippled because of this, since we cannot deliver systems without wireless drivers.
    Thank you.

I just checked today and still no luck.
A new version of "ThinkVantage Active Protection System (64bit)" is all i could find for the "3354-Windows 7-English" query

I will correct that. We had approved our own "Costum update" with the same update id. After removing that the update appeared as exspected.
Thank alot for being very helpfull.

  • Satellite A660 Win7 action centre - Power management system is missing driver

I replaced the battery on my A660-15J Toshiba laptop a few months back with the high capacity battery and now the win 7 action center keeps popping up with the message that I need to download and install the missing power management system driver.
The power supply was not replaced at all, nothing has changed, other than the battery.
The charge light on the laptop functions as it did before the battery change.
It comes on and is red, and after a couple of hours it goes white and the battery level shows it is at 100%
The problem is that windows 7 action center says that it is missing an ACER driver??? -> WTF???
The link that it gives to download it from DOES NOT WORK
It seems strange to me that the link that windows provides its to an acer website, but since manufacturers use parts from others manufacturers it does not surprise me at all.
I just want clarification and confirmation of what I need to do here, and why the toshiba service center is not showing this update???
I read that BIOS update can resolve this issue, however there is NO bios update for my laptop.
I have also contacted MICRO$OFT but I'm still awaiting a reply from them.
I have also read other posts on various toshiba forums that relate to this same problem but they usually say that model is not supported by toshiba in that country....
I clicked the link to this forum directly from the Toshiba Australia website, so please don't tell me that my model is not supported on this Toshiba Europe forum!
    The exact message:
Download and install the driver for your power management system
Your power management system is missing a driver.
Follow these steps to solve this problem:
Tap or click to download the driver from the A+c+e+r Corporation website
Download and extract the driver files
Tap or click Save or Save as, and then save the file to your desktop. If you cant choose where to save the file, youll need to find it and copy it to your desktop. When you download files, most web browsers save them to the Downloads folder on your computer.

Possibly this is the problem. Is the new battery fully compatible?
Satellite A660/15J is an Australian notebook model.
Here I found some accessories for this model:
    http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/products/computers/satellite/a660/psaw3a-15j06t/accessories
    The compatible battery are:
    Toshiba Battery Pack (12 Cell / 9000mAh / Li-Ion / 10.8V) PA3819U-1BRS
    Toshiba Battery Pack (6 Cell / 5600mAh / Li-Ion / 10.8V) PA3818U-1BRS

  • Lenovo System Update not installing a driver

I reinstalled Windows 8.1 Pro on a X1 Carbon Touch, model 3448.  I then installed the Lenovo System Updater, version 5.06.0027.  Many drivers were installed, but I still have an unknown device in Device Manager.  In msinfo32.exe, I see this in Problem Devices:
    ACPI\LEN0078\5&2890D6990&0
A web search seems to indicate I need a Lenovo Power Management driver.
Any idea why the Lenovo System Updater does not identify this device and install the appropriate driver?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi,
download and install that PM driver in manual mode.

Thanks Paul; but, taking your suggestion didn't solve the problem.  As mail is part of the OS, the updates don't have the capacity to reinstall applications; so, I had to reinstall the OS.  I now have my mail back (although it didn't appear on the dock--I had to go to applications and activate it and then put it back in the dock.  Thanks again for trying.

  • Missing ttyUSB0 and cant hibernate after system update

Hi! I'm using usb modem huawai. Before my yesterday's update everything was fine, but after it ttyUSB0 had gone missing. E.g. it (ttyUSB0) doesn't appear when i plug in my usb modem any more. Also gnome's hibernate utility doesn't work anymore. When I stop working and press System -> Shut Down -> Hibernate it looks like it suspends to my swap disk, but it doesn't resume when i start over it works like if i rebooted.
I suppose these two issues r connected and their cause is system update. Any ideas?

  • Missing HDMI1 in xrandr after system update

    Hey archlinux crowd,
I am running arch on my (now 4 month old) Samsung Ultrabook NP940X3G.
    It worked out-of-the-box immediately. Nice!
But probably a month ago a system update (which included intel drivers) shredded my external port. HDMI1 was missing from xrandr, instead DP1 and VIRTUAL shows up in addition to eDP1 which is the actual laptop screen.
I tried to investigate but stopped soon. Eventually, another system update a week later fixed the problem.
Now, after updating the system two days ago the same error occurred again. Reboot and HDMI1 is replaced by those mentioned fellas.
Anyone with similar problem or ideas?

  • T410 System Update 4 - Intel Rapid Storage AHCI Driver "Package did not install" Error

I've not had a problem with system Update 4 until today.  I went out to check for any updates and there was only one (Optional) listed so I went ahead and tried to install it.
It is Intel Rapid Storage AHCI Driver for Windows 64bit.  The installed version is 9.5.7.1002 and the version trying to be installed is 9.6.0.1014.  The progress bar indicated it downloaded and tried to install, but ended with the error, "1 Package did not install."  Not a lot of help in that statement!?!
Has anyone had a problem like this before?  Any idea how to "fix" it so I can install this update?
I even tried once with MS Security Essentials, Windows Firewall and UAC turned off with no difference.
System details are in my sig, below.
    Thanks for any help,
    Gary A.

Yup, that's what I ended up doing - download and install the standalone file.  Installed just fine

  • Firefox won't "Open File..." to my hard drive/desk top since my OSX system update yesterday -- why?

Did an automated OSX system update and noticed after reboot that Firefox now won't "Open File..." or recognize any files (video, pdf, etc) on my computer! (Problem may not be related to update but suspicious timing!) Seems to play streaming video OK...
Checked/updated plugins from Firefox site and reinstalled Firefox without success -- issue remains. Safari recognizes all / will "Opens file..."
Any ideas how to fix? Thanks!

Hello, have you tried this full route?
This can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
    Reboot.
If that doesn't help & you can afford to redo any Mail Rules...
    Trash these files...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/... MessageRules.plist and MessageRules.plist.backup

  • T540p BSOD after installing driver with ThinkVantage System Update

    Hello,
today I got my brand new T540p. Its was delivered without OS (Lenovo Campus). I downloaded the ethernet drivers  and the TV System Update on a usb flash drive with my old thinkpad. After installing Windows 8 Pro, i installed the ethernet drivers to connect to the internet. Then i started the TV System Update and let it install all critical and optional drivers.
After the all drivers have been installed the machine wants to reboot, but now i am in a reboot loop. Everytime it hangs in the screen "Windows Update 100%" and then I see the blue screen of death (Driver Power state failure) and the machine reboots again.
Does anyone else have this problem or is there a fix from lenovo?
    Thanks,
    Mat

After fresh install of win 8 I only updated drivers from windows update. Works fine so far. Upgraded to win 8.1 still no problem. Use nvidia, wifi, intel graphics driver from windows update. Windows could not install chipset drivers. So I downloaded the intel chipset drivers from lonovo. Install crashes with bsod and ending up in reboot loop. I assume it's a problem with the intel drivers from lenovo. At moment I install win 8 again and I will try to install the drivers from intel website.
