Mabook Air is making a beeping sound, sreen is blak and it won't ome on.

MB Air  is beeping, blak sreen and won't ome on.  My __ is not working, sorry.

I ended up shutting down totally and then when I restarted the beeping was gone.
I have heard it before when I had an email that would not send, but this time I had nothing in my outbox.  But never so continual and with such frequency.
I was able to sign back in and now everything is working well.
It happened when I opened up Facetime.....

  • My MacBook late 2008 10.7.5 making a beeping sound at startup

My Mac Book late 2008 10.7.5 is making a beeping sound at startup before the Apple chime.

    Hello,
If you haven't done anything to the MacBook liek add extra memory then try the following
    Resetting PRAM: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
Else try resetting SMC : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
It could be a memory problem, so try removing one memory each at a time to see if that stops the bleeping.
If that does resolve the bleeping, then your MacBook may need replacement memory modules.
    Best of luck

  • My MB Air makes a single beep-sound!

My MB Air (mid 2012) keeps making a single beep-sound every 2 or 3 minutes, even when I shuted it down. I don't know why. Can anyone help?

1 tone, a 5-second pause, repeat = No RAM installed
Bad RAM on logic, its permanent and cannot be replaced, the logic would have to be changed.
    SMC reset and re verify
    SMC reset
    Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

  • Why ismy mac book pro making a beeping sound every few minutes?

My mac book pro 13" is making a strange sound evefy few minutes.  It sounds like a rock being dropped in a pond. I replaced a faulty hard drive recently and I wonder if it is related to that issue.

A rock being dropped in a pond is not a beeping sound. Which one is it?

  • Box making a beeping sound

white box mounted on wall keeps beeping.have disconnected box,tv and still keeps beeping very annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's not a lot of useful information in your post.
My best wild guess is the battery in your ONT is ready to be replaced.
If you want a more helpful answer, provide more details about the "white box" including the status of any lights on it or related equipment.
    Good Luck

  • My 27 in iMac mid 2011 will start making a beeping sound, like a stuck keyboard key.  It will start up for no reason and it will stop if I hit the keyboard, only to start again.  Any idea how if stop this?

My iMac will start beeping like a stuck key.  It started this after updating to mountain lion. and after I updated memory to 20 gigs (2x 8gigs, 2x 2gigs)
I have a seagate thunderbolt back up drive attached.
The beeping starts at random times even when the computer ( and me too) are sleeping.
    Help!!!
    Thanks

Running Firefox with addons disabled is no solution. The addons are the only reason I use Firefox! Please fix this before Google completely takes over my desktop!

  • I was out of my room for an hour and when returning, my computer was making continuous beeping sound and was unresponsive.

I am new to Apple, just bought the computer a month ago.  I extraced this from the log file.  I fear I've picked up some malware or been hacked...

If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you in advance.  I am on an Intel iMac 10.8.1

Since it's a new machine, contact Apple Service, iMac Service or Apple's Express Lane. Do note that if you have AppleCare's protection plan and you're within 50 miles (80 KM) of an Apple repair station, you're eligible for onsite repair since yours is a desktop machine. That also might apply to newly bought ones inside the first 90 days.
FWIW, IMO, the AppleCare extended plan's the cheapest insurance you can get for your new desktop machine.

What have you installed on the Mac? 3 beeps indicates that memory is defective. As the memory on a MacBook Air is soldered, the only solution is to take the computer to an Apple Store or reseller. First, try to remove that hardware that you have installed
