I live in Israel, and in 2 more weeks i will be in the united stats.
I've decided that i want to buy myself an iphone 3gs there(i know that i wouldn't be able to talk until "something" would happen)and i want to know, how much an iphone costs without any contracts to at&t? i heard that it's 599, is it correct?

I don't think AT&T will sell you a phone like this. That pricing is usually for replacement by existing customers.
I would have someone call first to confirm.
Also, if i were you, I would not count on "that something" happening in 2 months. 6 Months if ever. If you really want an iPhone, order one from Buy.com as it is carrier unlocked nad resold from Italy. Or go to Europe and buy a carrier unlocked phone.
Buying a new AT&T phone has a high probability of being an iPod for 6 months or forever.

I have updated from CS3 to CS6 - and working with InDesign, Im surpirsed to see that the same fonts are not available.
Could you please direct me to a link that updates my Indesign to my earlier version, CS3. Otherwise, when I open files, it forst pops up with the Font errors, then the text isn't where it supposed to be either.

iPhone 4S will start shipping to my country in the 22nd of November, but retailers here are starting to sell it at twice what it costs.
I though Apple condemned this actions. Can you elucidate me?

I've just got back my ibook g4 WITH leopard now installed but with all files/apps etc wiped clean; some recovered on external drive - log job to trawl through...
However, as a part shortcut to this I could possibly transfer many duplicate files/apps from my imac - if I knew how. I have them both connected via firewire but unsure how best to achieve without further potential calamity.
any advice gratefully received...

you could use Migration Assistant (it's in /Applications/Utilities) to transfer your data, apps and accounts from the iMac to the ibook.

Either way, if they got it mixed up then that is course you want to stay well away from.
Java in web page = JSP or JSF, 2 examples.
Javascript is .... well..... Javascript!

I have audio visualization on my pc, so when i play songs from MP3, random patterns etc are generated, this im sure you know.
well, is there a way to turn my MP3 track, into a VIDEO so i can attach the Visualization to the song - and burn to CD, and put in my DVD player...?

Definitely not the right place to ask. This has absolutely nothing to do with Java.
But what you need is screen capture software (Fraps for example...go to download.com or google for other screen capture software). You'll need to use the capture software to create your video. Then use some kind of authoring tool to create your DVD, with the sound and video files put together.
If you came to a Java forum for help with this, the solution might be a bit over your head...

Can't check the SN or warranty, cause it is stuck in restore mode.

Ok thank you so much! Although I ended up taking the sim card out of my new Iphone and reinserting it into my old one it finally let me restore it! So thanks once again this really helped!

Error 9 occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes.
This issue can usually be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

This means the iPhone was hacked to be unlocked. The 3GS was not sold in the US as officially unlocked.

Again, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but its worth a shot.
so i've been transcribing video all day using microsoft office for mac, and was saving the project (i thought) to an external hard drive. at one point the HD came unplugged, and i plugged it back in. no big deal. i continued to save, to type, save, type, etc until finished. so when i finished and saved the project, seemed okay. when i closed word, it kept asking me if i wanted to save changes...i said yes, and it would just ask me again, did this a few times. i assumed it was asking me to save it to a new location, which i didn't think i needed so finally said no.
i then find out that somehow when the HD was unplugged it erased Words ability to save to said location. so my last save was really before the HD was removed, which is odd, because i kept saving and never was prompted the path was interrupted or anything.
so my question is two part...
1. where would i find in the depths of the computer the saved files? if i was saving, they had to have gone somewhere, but i dont know how to find them.
2. also, assuming it wasnt saving, my word prefs say it autosaves every 5 minutes, so those files must exist somewhere also, yet can't find them...
does this make sense, can anyone help me?

Hi there,
In Finder, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes".
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists.
See if it may be in one of those with a 1 or 2 added to it.
