Mac 10.6.8's video calls not working! Please help!

Reposting the text below because there was no reply to the last message. Ack! Please help. Skype, is there a solution yet? Or even just an explanation and a time frame so we know when we can expect video calls to work again? Thanks! ---------------I have a Mac laptop, version 10.6.8. I have the most updated version of Skype available for my computer, Skype version 6.15. For the past few months, I've been unable to use video chat or file sharing. I can receive some files, but cannot send files. Other people can video chat with me and I can see them, but they can't see me. My built-in camera works just fine for other purposes, so I know it's not an issue with my camera. I've also noticed that a lot of Mac users seem to be having trouble with Skype lately. I've checked my audio/video preferences for Skype and my computer's camera preferences, and everything is as it should be. Does anyone know how to fix this?

In addition to these steps, I recommend, BEFORE emptying the trash:
Go to: [User]/Library/Preferences (hold the "Option" key when clicking "Go" from the Finder menu to reveal the hidden Library folder)
Trash the ENTIRE Macromedia folder from there
Aside from that additional step, follow the rest of the instructions to the letter and you should be back up and running.

Video chat not working, Please help.

Since upgrading to Tiger, I have tried just about everything suggested on this board to get ichat av to fully function. For months I have been trying off and on to use the AV functions of ichat. I have spent days reinstalling, clean installing, trashing plists etc... I have had success in engaging in a boring audio chats with all of the bots (appleu3testXX) but never have had luck with getting video to work. (But for some reason today i can not even audio chat with the bots, am getting insufficient bandwidth error) I can get the video preview and that is it. I get the error "Can not get video from the camera" when i attemt to connect to one of the bots. I just want to video chat with my sister halfway across the world. The error i get with her is "User failed to respond", or I failed to respond. I consider myself somewhat computer saavy, and am almost to the point of writing my own standalone application inorder to video chat with her. We do have a router (either a Cisco 828 G.SHDSL or a Cisco 805 Serial Router) at the studio to service the 50+ connections here. Our IT person has made the necessary adjustments on his end with the router. I am located in Amsterdam with about a 900 Kbps connection.

T61 Video Out not working - Please Help!!!

I just bought a new Samsung SyncMaster P2470 monitor. First time I connected it to my comp I was actually able to see my desktop on the screen but everything had a pink hue. I thought it might be the cable so without switching the display back to my laptop - I disconnected the VGA cable and swapped it for another. From that point on I have not been able to see anything on my external monitor! If I hit Function-F7 my laptop screen goes black but nothing shows up on the monitor.
I have updated the bios, reinstalled my drivers (intel mobile chip set), and scoured the web for an answer. I know it's not the monitor because I've tried it with other laptops and it works fine. I'm going crazy here because I really want to use the thing and right now it's just an expensive paper weight! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've searched through the forum and there are a LOT of people with this same issue so I have a hard time believing that it's a hardware issue (unless every comp is supplied with a really crappy VGA port). I cannot believe there isn't a solution to this yet...

An iPhone backup to a computer via iTunes stores the photos in a backup file that is only meant to be be used if needed to restore back to the phone. There is 3rd party "extractor" software available but otherwise the photos are not directly viewable.
The backup via iTunes was a good idea and your Camera Roll photos should be there and should be able to be restored to your new phone. However if it was me I wouldn't rely on that alone. I would also import the photos to a computer where you can see and verify that you have a copy. That is a good idea at any time (not just when you know you might need it). Any phone can be lost, broken, suffer hardware issues, etc at any time and lose all data on it. Need to Resume download to complete the ongoing Process.
Last Resort, put the iPhone in DFU mode (Google How to do that). Connect in iTunes. Follow on-screen prompts to Restore. All Data would be lost, if not backed up earlier.
To save the photographs you may have to use third party software. Google is your friend.

I live in South Africa, and I had the same problem with my iPhone 4.
After weeks of frustration and swearing, I was in the process of restoring my phone to a previous iOS. To do that you need to turn the "Find my iPhone" option off, since i turned it off, my problem was solved. No need to repair anything or revert back to old iOS.

If you are running Lion or Mountain Lion, the drivers are downloaded from within Bootcamp Assistant. If you are running Snow Leopard the drivers are on your Snow Leopard install disk.

I would imagine your iPhone was hacked to make it work on your local carrier.
Updating the iOs to 5.xx will lock it back to the original carrier .The carrier holding the lock are the only
entity able to authorise the unlock .You will have to contact them and see if they unlock and the terms the apply
