Mac air 2011 paring problem

My mac air 2011 will not pair with my i phone 6.

An iPhone will not pair via Bluetooth to a computer (Mac or Windows) except for personal hotspot and then only if your cellular plan supports it. Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with my computer?
If you are attempting to use Handoff/Continuity, that does involve Bluetooth but the devices are NOT paired; Bluetooth just needs to be on and the devices in range of each other. i guess you could put the aiport utility app on your iphone, click on the aiport express there, it will show you how many devices are connected to it and the mac addresses of those devices.

My mac air 2011 was stolen, but luckily i got it back. The one who stole it had been using it, so i erased both HD drives. Now it cant get lion x installed because it is not available in the App store. What to do ?

Mac book Air 2011 Serious Problem!!!!!

I bought Mac Book Air 2011 last week in Apple Store of Australia, but I found when I visit internet at home through WIFI , it is so slow and often dropping, I often cannot open any website but other laptop(Windows System) worked fine and fast!!!
I searched website to find solutions and I found too many people have same problem!!! Sometime I even suspect Air hardware or design have problem!!
This is my first Apple product, I heard someone said Apple is an excellent product but I am so disappointed it at the moment!!!!!! Is there anyone can help me.........PLEASE.........!!!!!!!!!!

I just bought the same machine you did last week - also in Oz.
As you noted, I also had issues with slow WiFi as I started using the machine. However, I upgraded to Lion 10.7.1 and have not had any noticable problems since. I did not try some of the other fixes that are suggested so I don't know if they help.

Windows 7 install on mac air 2011

I have a Mac Air and trying to install Windows 7 OEM using boot camp. Printed out bootcamp installation guide and followed it, but screen goes black after the partition and when trying to install Windows. Seems to lock up. Anyone else had this problem?

Mac Mini 2011 - Monitor Problems - Help

My picture is not sharp... just blury. Icons, pictures, text, mostly everything is bad except high quality video files.
I just purchased a Mac Mini 2011 second option and a Samsung TA531 monitor that arrived today. Hooked it up and to my surprise, it is blury and bad quality no matter what kind of resolution i use. I also try to text smoothening through terminal.. nothing helps.
My setup:
Mac Mini 2011 - second option stock
Samsung SyncMaster T27A531
Cable: HDMI
After reading about this issue, some people recommends to use a DVI or VGA cable and claims that HDMI is not suitable for computer monitors, especially Samsung.
Please, feel really sad and lost among a lot of new computer equipment that doesn't work properly

I had the same issue and didn't want to give up my Thunderbolt port, so I opted to get a Gefen HDMI Detective Plus. What this does is make the CPU think an HDMI display is attached so that your graphics CPU 'unlocks' and full speed is back. The Gefen box can either 'learn' the code of any HDMI display in your office/home, or you can preset it as a stock 1080p display. TOTALLY solved my problem... even though it did cost $85.
Apple needs to fix this as so many people use the MINI headless.

Macbook air 2011 reinstall problem

Actually I have a Macbook air 2011 /4g/ 11" , I format my hdd from disk utility and now I want to access to startup menu to reinstall it, I try that with holding option key and it just show me the internet recovery, my internet speed is very low, after about 8 hours it's show me the start up menu finally and ask me to reinstall the lion 1.7 so on that time because of some issues I just turn my macbook off because I think everything downloaded,
now, again when i turn it on for continue the installing process it's show me again the internet recovery and want to download from internet again
how can i access to the downloaded data and continue my work

OS X Recovery requries a broadband connection as noted > OS X Recovery
There's no need to hold down the Option key to restore OS X.
Hold down the Command + R keys.
If your download speeds are less than 10Mbps, you may not be able to restore your Mac using OS X Recovery.
If you can, take your Mac to an Apple Store > Apple - Find Locations
In most cases, they will restore OS X for free for you.

Mac Air 11in trackpad problem

I recently upgraded to the new OSX Lion platform on my Mac Air 11in. Now my trackpad operates in the reverse order ie when you scoll down the page does up and when you scoll up on the trackpad the page scrolls down. This is very frustrating. Please help.

This is call natural jestures in lion. You can change it in track pad preferences but I got use to mine and now I love it.

Mac Mini 2011 headless problems

Hi have Mac Mini alu 2011 not the latest versione with thunderbolt port. I use it as backup server, with no monitor connected. Many application don't work without a monitor connected, anyone have same issues and a solution?

Macbook Air 2011 battery problem

I bought Macbook Air mid 2011 11 inch model with 128 Gb and 4 Gb RAM. In last weeks I saw my MBA after full charge (all night) have 100%, but after two hours is 10%. Is it normal? I just worked with Google Chrome, Time Machine and maybe some video in HD in MPlayerX. What I can do?

Ah, I made a reply yesterday evening, it has disappeared.
I try to repeat it again:
Don't worry: you have the most beautiful and enviable MacbookAir! It's the latest version, and it's battery is also new. I guess there's nothing wrong with it. The only thing that is different with my MBP's is that there is 6,4 power usage (obviously with the charger in), could you check one thing for me:
Start Acitvity Monitor (in Utilities), and for <all processes>, click on the %CPU column, are there any processes that continiously use more than say 15%?
The battery values vary a bit, that's not abnormal (in my MBP they vary between 92-103%; 90 cycles, 28 months), they are absolutely not giving the impression that there is something wrong with the battery, it's life is not determined by what Coconutbattery says (a good utility btw), but by the number of cycles, read the pages I gave the links of.
Another thing: there is an EFI update, look in the Software Update (EFI is an hardware layer, compare bios in a PC):

If you do not have "problems", it is still good to update, because it may solve some issue that you have not encountered yet.

Macbook Air 2011 USB Problem

Hi, I recently bought a Toshiba portable hard drive that uses usb 3.0. For some reason, my mid-2011 macbook air 13" is unable to connect to the drive with the USB3 to microUSB3 cable. However, the hard drive worked on a late 2010 macbook air 11", other macbooks and pcs using the usb3 cable. The Toshiba portable hard drive did work with my 2011 air with my friend's USB2 to microUSB2 cable so I decided to buy one on Amazon. Unfortunately, the cable that I bought from amazon did not work with my macbook air but it did work with my other pc.
My question is: Does my macbook air have a usb problem and should I go to apple store to get it fixed?

Mac Mini(2011). Problems running Logic Pro 9

I have a 2011 Mac Mini 2.3Ghz i5. I have upped the ram to 8gb. Whilst using Logic Pro 9 after laying down 5 MIDI tracks it crashes and I have to hard reset. It instantly crashes when recording audio. Any ideas?

Mac Air using projector problem

MacBook air mid 2012 11 inch. Trying to use with older InFocus projector, which works fine with my iBook. Using new mini display-VGA cable. Projector searches for computer and finds it, but displays galaxy picture that is unfamiliar. When open Display in System Preferences, the display window shows with the galaxy behind it. Clicking on different options in Display does no good. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the question. It sounds like your display setup is configured to extend your desktop. If you would rather mirror your desktop (what you see on the projector is the same as what is on your computer), check the “Mirror Displays” option in Display Settings > Arrangement:

Video mirroring
Mirroring displays the same image on each display.
Make sure your additional display is properly connected and powered on.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
From the View menu, choose Displays.
Click the Arrangement tab.
Enable (check) "Mirror Displays" in the bottom-left corner.
In the example below. the blue boxes represent each display that is connected. The white bar at the top of both boxes represents your menu bar and is shown on both displays when they are showing the same information.

Please help. New Mac Air & Time Machine problems.

Recently I replaced my wife's MacBook with a brand new MacBook Air. We used an iomega model RPHD-TG external HD for Time Machine with FireWire on the old laptop.
However, since the Air does not have FireWire I am using the USB cable that came with it. It works fine when the Air is awake.
The problem is that whenever we put it to sleep then wake it we get this message every time:
"The disk was not ejected properly. If possible, always eject a disk before unplugging it or turning it off." Then it proceeds to "repair" it then mount it.
Now, there is no on/off switch on this drive nor do we unplug it. Any ideas?

Open Energy Saver preferences. Look at the checkbox labeled, "Put the hard disks to sleep when possible." If it is checked then uncheck the box. See if that helps.
If your Iomega came with software to configure the drive for spindown when not in use, then disable that option.

HELP! Mac Air, Wifi, Connecting Problem

My MBA suddenly have some problem connecting my WiFi at home, while my PC and Cellphone all doing fine. The problem is whenever I tried to connect internet with Air, Something like:"Another device on the network is uding your computer's IP address,try connecting again later. If you continue to have problems, change the IP address of this computer or the IP address of the other device. Contact the network administratot if you need more information." will pop out.
But actually, I did not have the mentioned "other devices" using the same IP.
Please help!

Try assigning a static ip address. Is your wireless internet password protected? If not someone else could be using it. this can cause the issue.
your ip range may be 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.110 this would give you 10 possible ip addresses, 10 devices. (Normal for home use).
