Have you installed iWork and iLife through App Store or from a disc? Note that they'll only appear on the App Store if you purchased them on App Store

    Delete the App Store app by dragging it and dropping it into the Trash.  Then download and install the appropriate update combo for your version of OS X;
    Install new MAS app -

Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and test.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
Log out, log back in, and test. If there's no improvement, continue.
    Step 2
    Reset your computer’s PRAM.

Boot to recovery and first try repairing the startup disk via dis utility.

  • When I try to launch iTunes or the App Store I get a web page and neither will load.

Topic says it all.  Started today.

Happens to me sometimes on my iPad. Try to reset your iPhone by holding down the Home and Lock buttons for about 15 seconds or until the device restarts (do not slide the power slider.)
Usually fixes itself for me on my iPad, might be different for you though.

  • How do I download Mac App Store to my MacBook Pro. Somehow, it was deleted

Somehow, Mac App Store has been deleted from my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X version 10.6.8)
How do I download this back to my MacBook Pro?

Yes it is. I have a Mac Book Pro and trying to open Mac App Store. It won't open and isn't even listed under my applications. Apparently, I deleted it some time ago by mistake. I'm trying to somehow download the app for it again. I can't seem to find the app to even download it. Can you help? I'm sorry if I caused you trouble, or if my question wasn't clear.

  • Problem with serial number, when I bought Keynote on Mac App Store

    Hi,
I bought yesterday Keynote and Numbers yesterday in online Mac App Store, not retail. I had had trial version, but over time. I bought this software, system this software installed. But when I run this software, it want serial number or buy ... where is problem?
    Thank you for help
    Ondrej

You don't need a serial number. The problem you're having is due to having the iWork trial installed. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

  • Everytime i try to open the mac app store it doesn't connect

I've just downloaded the new ios x software mountain lion. I am trying to get a few new apps from the mac app store. However everytime I open the mac app store application it dooesn't start and the error. "cannot connect to the mac app store" appears. Does this have anything to do with Apple currently updating the system or is there really a problem. If there is then can somebody help me out getting it working.

I had found this when I had the same problem:
Close the App Store (make sure to Quit)
Open Keychain Access from the Applications > Utilities folder
Click on System Roots on the upper left panel
Click on Certificates from the lower left panel
Scan through the list of certificates on the right and look for any with a blue “+” symbol overlaid on the icon (these have custom trust settings, which might be wrong).
For some reason just setting them to Use System Defaults doesn’t make the settings apply, so repeat the following steps for all certificates with the blue “+”
Double Click on the certificate to show the info panel
Click on the triangle next to Trust to reveal the Trust settings
Change the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) setting to No Values Specified
Close the info panel, you should be prompted for the administrators password.
Double Clock on the same certificate again
    Expand the Trust settings
Change the When using this certificate setting to Use System Defaults
Close the info panel, and again enter the administrators password.
Repeat this for all of the certificates with the blue “+”
When done, restart the App Store and see if you can access Updates.

  • How do I install camera raw updates to the mac app store version of elements 10

In the mac app store version of Elements 10 there is 'get updates' link on the help menu. And when I try to do it manually from a download I get a message telling me that 'this update no applicable'.

Once again,  Apple only provides support for purchasing issues, not with using software purchased via the app store, any more than staples will give you tech support for a boxed version you buy from them:
The Mac App Store handles the download, installation, licensing, and updating of all products purchased through it. If you encounter an issue with an Adobe product during one of these four processes, visit http://www.apple.com/support.
For all other issues, including program errors and how to questions, visithttp://www.adobe.com/support.
Apple only provides support for problems with updates released via the app store and adobe has NEVER bothered to issue updates anything offered through the app store, so you can't get any help from apple for this.
It's more complicated to install ACR in the app store version. You have to do it manually. See this thread:

  • Updates don't appear in mac app store

Hi, I have a problem with the mac app store. I enter to it and in updates it says that I haven't updates. But I have a lot of apps to update... I had this problem time before but with the terminal and some codes I could repair. But now I can't find this method. I have a MacBook Air (13 inc, mid 2013) with Yosemite 10.10.1
I have tried this method but don't work:
Logout, close app store, open app store and loggin with my account.
    - Go to the Spotlight system preferences.
             - Go to the Privacy tab.
             - Add your boot drive ("Macintosh HD") to the privacy list and close the preferences.
             - Open the preferences again and remove your hard drive from the list.
             - Reboot the system.
         3. Try resetting the Mac App Store.
         - Enable the debug menu and restart the Mac App Store: defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
       - Choose the Reset Application option and restart the Mac App Store.
         4. Purge the Caches:
         rm -r ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
         rm -r ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.storeagent
         rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
         rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
         rm ~/Library/Cookies/com.apple.appstore.plist
         5. Changing my region to USA and reset.
    So I need a solution...
    Thanks!

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

  • How do I get updates that are not mine not to show up in mac app store?

I have updates in my updates in the mac app store that will not go away and they are not mine. They are someone else's that have someone else's apple ID. It is just a little strange that just all the sudden they pop up about two days ago. It is sort of annoying that these updates will not go away. Any help is well appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi...
Unfortunately, it sounds like you are subject to pirated software.

  • Purchased Pages from Mac app Store

I just downloaded and installed Pages 4.0.5 from the Mac App Store. Do I need to install the iWork 9.0.5 Update as well? It does not come up in Software Update.

    Hi,
No, you don't need to do that. The updates will be come available under Updates in the menu at the top of the Mac App Store window.

  • Mac app store "an error has occurred" and greyed out button for download

I'm trying to download an app in the mac app store.
It's got stuck and nothing seems to get it going again.
I get "an error has occurred" and the button along side is grey.
If I click the button it does a little animated click and nothing happenes.
Any idea how to resolve this?

Run Console to check the recent logs for more details (look for com.apple.installd).
In example, I had something like:
com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.apple.installd[69518]) Job appears to have crashed: Abort trap: 6
ReportCrash[69520]: Saved crash report for installd[69518] version 332 to /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/installd_2014*.crash
And when checked backtrace under System Diagnostic Reports, there is something like:
Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[NSKeyedUnarchiver initForReadingWithData:]: incomprehensible archive
So it's possible that update files were corrupted. Try to remove these files and re-try again.
    See: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4234582
From Terminal check if you've temporary files here:
        ls -la /private/var/folders/*/*/*/com.apple.appstore
And then try to remove them (you may backup them first just in case):
        rm -frv /private/var/folders/*/*/*/com.apple.appstore
Or eventually run Finder and go to: /private/var/folders and Trash all the folders (if something bad happens, restore it from your Trash).
    And re-try again.
Removing all the folders from /private/var/folders it actually fixed the problem on my laptop.

    Hello Canyonlight,
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you were not able to log in to the Mac App Store to download applications on March 11th.
The iTunes Store services were experiencing issues at that time, which may have affected your attempts. You can see the system status for Apple services at this link:
Apple - Support - System Status
Please try logging in again, if you haven't already. Feel free to reply and let us know if the issue continues.
    All the best,
