We purchased the Starwars lego app game and it will not resume downloading. It has been over a month with no response???

You have system sounds muted. The button just above the volume control on the upper right hand side of your iPad can mute system sounds, OR it can lock screen orientation. Move it up to see what you've got it set as (you'll see a box in the middle of the screen that tells you). If you have lock screen orientation selected, double tap hour home button to bring up the task bar (most recently used apps). With your finger, swipe the task bar apps all the way to right, revealing a mute icon on the far left side. Touch it and you'll turn system sounds back on.

Mac Apps will not open

I am running OSX 10.9, with as far as I know, all current updates. Tonight I went to sync photos from my iphone to iphoto, upon iphoto updating, I quickly discovered the other core Apple apps will not open (mac app store, contacts, reminders, keynote, pages... etc.) I try to open the app, it bounces once or a few times, then the icon disappears from the main dock. It was not until the iphoto update did I notice this happening, however, iphoto still opens and runs. I would greatly appreciate any help or insight.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

HT202159 Mountain Lion will not resume download

I have tried to download Mountain Lion multiple times and it will continuously pause and now will not resume.

If you properly pause the download, it should be able to resume without any problem.
When I downloaded Mountain Lion, I paused and resumed hours later without any problem. But when it reached 95% of the download, my internet connection dropped for like 1 minute, and when it came back, the download restarted from zero.
So as long as the internet connection is not dropping during the download, you should be able to resume.

An app will not completely download from the App Store to my iPhone 5S. Neither can I terminate the download by trying to delete it. The app is useless to me and so I would like to remove the icon from my home screen. How can I do this?

I tried to download the app "Google Translate" from the App Store onto my iPhone 5s. However, the download will not complete. As well, when I try to delete the icon from my home screen, it will not go away. I am very frustrated as this has never happened before and I have gotten many paid and free apps from the App Store. What have you tried to get the app to finish downloading e.g. have you tried logging out and back into your account on your phone, disconnecting and reconnecting to your network, soft-reset of your phone (press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, ignore the red slider, after which the Apple logo should appear and it should reboot) ?
You could also try downloading the update on your computer's iTunes and see if you can sync it over to your phone (or delete the app its Apps tab when connected to your computer's iTunes and sync the new version - deleting the app will delete its contents).

App will not finish downloading

Bought the application Trism on the iPhone. The problem started when the app didn't finish downloading, but its icon was stucked with the download progress bar halfway. However, after a sync, the program is fully installed in iTunes.
Tried to delete the app on the iPhone, but the cross never popped up for this icon.
Using the AppStore on iPhone, it says the program is already downloaded when trying to redownload it.
Now the app icon has totally disappeared on the iPhone...is it just hidden somewhere on the phone?

I have this same problem. Happened with a soduku application. The icon is hidden and when you try to moving something in it's place, it will flicker for a split second. Battery started nosediving ever since, too. It's dead by noon now. I haven't figured out how to get rid of it yet.

App purchase will not resume download

Over the weekend, I purchased Deus Ex from the App Store. This is a huge, 16GB download.
The problem is that I live overseas, and I have limited bandwidth - but it is unlimited between 2 AM - 8 AM. I am trying to download the app during that time. The first night I downloaded, I got 12GB done, paused it, and waited for the next night. The next night, I hit "resume" at 2 AM. The App Store said that it was downloading, and my internet monitored that I was downloading at about 5 Mbps, but the progress bar in the App Store did not indicate anything was happening. When I woke up the next morning, my monitor indicated I had downloaded 4GB of data (exactly what I needed for the app), and I had a message saying that app failed to download.
I restarted last night. Got just under 12 GB done, paused, and waited for tonight. Same thing is happening? Any idea how to fix it?

Now it says on the progress bar "0 bytes of 16.65 GB - less than a minute" It has said that most of the night. It also won't let me pause it, and for some reason, whenever the app store is open, it ties up all of my RAM.

Straighten out your terminology: What is not working? The download or the install? In the latter case install logs may be a start, but you realyl need to tell us a lot more, including some basic system information...

Amazon app will not stop downloading

Hello, I have a BB classic, I began downloading Pintrest from Amazon, the app says "downloading" but it has been that way for over an hour, rebooting, powering down changes nothing. HELP

Turn off all mobile networks and see what happens. The application should close down due to no connection. If that all fails I think you should do a security wipe

Apps will not finish downloading

Ok. I have reset this iPad 3 times. There are no podcasts or anything else stuck downloading, yet it gets 2/3 through downloading and starts again and never install. I even tried to download the new ios6 and it gets 90 percent complete and kicks out with an error.

One thing that might help.
On your computer, open itunes and click on store at the top of itunes.
Now choose check for available downloads.
Once the Apps that you purchased finish downloading, then you can connect the iphone and sync them to the iphone.

Cannot get lion to complete download before pausing. It will not resume. Go back to app store. Install. Get same result. Help?

I have attempted to download Lion multiple times. Somehow it pauses during download and will not resume. I begin again at App Store. Start the install over. Your system should be OK. I suspect the issue may be with your Comcast service. Have you tried downloading anything else, for example navigate to 10.6.8 Update Combo and see if you can download that OK. If that works OK then you can go to the Mac App Store and navigate through their Support. You can find a link to that in the Mac App Store Quick Links.
The problem is we don't know where the problem is. One thing you can also do is find a free app on the Mac App Store and see if it will download OK. If it does then you should contact AppleCare or visit your local Apple Store or AASP for some help.

Make a new user Test Account on your computer, then try to download it through there, see what happens.

If you are looking at the front page of the App Store and you are seeing the "downloading" message on the right under Quick Links.
Try this... Go into the "Purchases" section in the top bar of the App Store find ML in the list you are presented with. Does it say Resume? If so click the button and it will change to Pause. You may have paused it previously and forgot.
If not then do as Csound1 suggested and simply wait for it to finish

First read Mac App Store: How to resume interrupted downloads
Open the Mac App Store.
From the Store menu, choose Sign In.
Enter your Apple ID and password.
Click Purchases to get to your Purchases Page.
Click the Resume button next to the app name.
