The important thing here to consider when purchasing the HD Dispaly is the screens Resolution. A 1080p screen only has a resolution that is 1920x1080 which is less then the 30" Cinima display. So it shouldn't be a problem. Even those monster 60" Plasmas (emmm... drool) only have a max resolution of 1920x1080 the pixel size and dot pitch are just larger. So you could even drive one of those with a mac mini with no problems.

Inserted a new hard drive into my Mac Boo Pro 2008 15 inch and don't have the original disks. Wondering if there was a way to purchase them from Apple or if I buy them off ebay will they work? Also its A Macbook Pro 2008 15 inch glossy with 2GB of Ram the serial number is worn off what kind OS do I need?

Wondering if there was a way to purchase them from Apple
Yes. Contact Apple Support using one of the options in the Contact Us below. You will need your MBP's serial number and payment method for a nominal fee. If the exterior serial number is illegible look elsewhere for it: MacBook Pro: How to find the serial number
or if I buy them off ebay will they work?
Probably not. Grey discs are system-specific and will work only for the exact model MBP with which they shipped. It's likely that Apple will charge you less money, and it will be guaranteed to work.

  • HT4480 I cannot find my information or code that comes with new MAC boo pro. How do I find it? I did not know what all that was about and how to use it.

I purchased my new Mac Book Pro 13 inch last Fall 2011. I started using the book in March 2012. I am new users of the Mac book and apple world. How do I obtain $100 ITune credit I was sent with my mac book. It does not show up with the purchase. I did not know exactly what it was and what to do with it. Now I am getting ready to buy some applications using Itunes I could use the credit.

Try going to the APPLE in the upper left of the screen and click on it , you will get a drop down with several choices , click on about this mac and you will get a pop up with description of your Mac system , click on the more info tab and you will see a complete listing of you system.
    To redeem your ITunes card
open ITunes and click on ITunes Store,if you do not have an apple id yo will need to create one, look for a tab that says redeem and click on it you will be prompted to enter the code on the back of the card , follow instructions and you should be good to go.

  • My cs6 looks really pixelated on my Mac boo pro retina display?

So I recently bought master suite cs6 on my Mac book pro but it's looks pixelated and it's the software a fault because the Mac has retina display and all my other software and screen display looks fine when I'm on the net

You need to install the respective updates for Photoshop and Illustrator to get Retina support. The other programs do not support Retina and will always look low res.

  • HT1296 My iphone 4s is registered on my mac boo pro. Is it possible to sync my music from iphone to laptop without losing music content on iPhone

When I try to sync the music from my iphone 4s to mac book pro, I get a message that suggest that if I continue, the contents in my iphone will be replaced with whats already in the itunes on mac book pro (in other words my iphone 4s music collection will be all lost).  Is there a way of syncing the 2 devices without losing any of the music.  I seem to manage to sync other items like calendar, contacts, photos, books etc.

If the answer to the above question is "yes", FIRST, set up a backup of your new computer before you do anything else so the next time your computer breaks you will not be in the same situation. Backup solutions are numerous and inexpensive, and there is absolutely no excuse in the Third Millennium not to have one.

  • MAC BOOK PRO WITH REMOVABLE BATTERY DOES NOT REBOOT

Every time I turn on my mac boo pro , a message appears in the screen saying "you need to restart your computer". Every time I restart my mac it takes me to the same message. I tried to remove the battery and try again and nothing. What can I do??

What you are seeing is called a kernel panic, it is usually but not always hardware related.

  • How can I steam from my early 2011 15-inch Mac Book Pro to my 2007 Samsung TV?

I have an early 2011, 15-inch Mac Book Pro Software  OS X 10.9.5 (13F34). It does not have an HDMI port. I have a Samsung TV I bought in 2007 (Model LN-4061F). How can I stream from laptop to my TV? My laptop does not have an HDMI port. I've read I can buy an adapter, but I'm not sure what to buy.
    -Does Apple make them?
-Are knockoff adapters "safe" to use with my laptop, and are they reliable/have a good quality connection?
-How much do they cost (I've seen cheap ones on Amazon)?
    -What kind should I buy?
-Will my laptop stream in HD?
I'm new to the community, so hoping someone can advise me how to do this. We also have a Roku, but I'm looking to stream DVDs and directly from TV network websites.
    Thanks for your help!

You will have to use the  minidisplay port to connect to the TV.  Assuming that the TV has an HDMI port, you will need a cable such as this:

With this, you eliminate the need for an adapter.

  • Mac Book Pro 13 inch Graphics Issue with Yosemite

    I have a major graphics issue with my Mac Book Pro mid 2010 after upgrading to Yosemite. I have a 2.66ghz with 8gb memory and 320M 256 MB NVIDIA graphics card. Since upgrading to Yosemite (after a clean install) I have had the following issue that are driving me crazy;
When I use more than one program my screen displays large blocks of unrecognisable fuzziness. I have two screen working off my Mac Book Pro, one is the Apple 27 inch theatre screen.
My system works slow despite have ample free memory available on my disk (over 150gb)
    It is becoming an increasing concern as this issue builds up over the day to the point where I need to reboot to fix, however as soon as I use Photoshop the system almost grinds to a halt. Other issues that are bearable but ned addressing include;
Keyboard often does not work on startup and requires you to pull out the keyboard and reconnect (intermittent).
Lost email when sent (intermittent). I had hoped that this would be fixed in this updated release.
    Laggy behaviour in general.
I am hoping someone has an idea to fix these issues or are also sharing my frustration. Can someone suggest  fix as this is not a workable situation for Mac book Pro users and 2010 is not that of an old computer. Apple???

So you erased your drive and installed  10.10 and then 10.10.1 and everything else was t hrough Setup Assistant, through reinstalls, or through TimeMachine restore?
A four-year old laptop may be at the point where that small older gpu and processors have more trouble.
you might want to hold off and go back to Mavericks or whatever you had - hopefully you cloned that system before doing clean install, upgrade to 16GB, maybe throw in an SSD... or save and get the next MacBook Pro to come out.
And you checked your apps at http://www.roaringapps.com for compatibility.
Might help just to see what if anything shows up in output from Etrecheck.
Probably thought this was laptop MacBook Pro, it is not, probably best moved to Yosemite forum.

    Dear friends

Can someone tell me a better way how can I install windows if I don't have the driver CDs?
Thanks in advance.  Sb sob sob
    Pl. help. Thanks

Reinstall OSX using the online recovery.
Then use Boot Camp Assistant. One of the Boot Camp Assistant menu items is download the Windows Support Software (drivers). Make sure you follow the Boot Camp instructions.
Or, Reinstall OSX using the online recovery.
Then install a virtual machine like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox. Then install Windows in the virtual machine.
You can use either Boot Camp or a virtual machine to install Windows. Neither method requires any driver cds.

Now when I access my bank website, I can get past the login to my account page but the data is permanently unavailable. The bank says no one else has this problem. Everything is up to date as far as software is concerned. . .I just update anything that comes up. I have not had this problem with this computer anywhere else and I am not having a problem with any other website. I have the problem with both Safari and Google Chrome.

  • 17 inch MAC book pro will not boot up

My 17 inch MAC Book Pro will not power/boot up.  The battery is charged and it displays a green light on the power adapter.  However, it will not boot up.

    Reset the SMC > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
If it doesn't work, probably there's a logic board problem, so it's possible that you need a new logic board. Take your computer to an Apple Store or reseller

  • I have found that my Mac Book Pro 15 inch late 2011 is slower than my PC Windows 7 for certain downloads, and working with iPhoto.  Would adding RAM be helpful in speeding up this process.  Currently I have the stock 4GB RAM, and storage 500GB HD drive.

  • 17 inch mac book pro dvd jitters

I experienced a problem with the MBP DVD drive on my new mac book. I have been hearing a lot of information about the new model (related to optical drive problems) Although it's too late to get my 17 inch g4 powerbook back (sold it on ebay last week) it's not too late to cancel my order. I shipped the mbp back to apple via fed ex today but the new one will take a few days to ship ... should I wait for the second generation mbp? What are the feelings on this issue?

I wish I were so lucky. I went so far as to purchase a few dvd's with no luck. I went to the apple store and they were able to duplicate the problem using in-store dvd's. The mbp has problems imo ... i love the concept and am a former g4 pwerbook owner so I'm giving them one more chance ... if the mac book pro I'm getting shipped now show's any signs of problems then I'm done (not for good, just until the second generation of mbp is released later this year)

  • How do you move pictures from iPhoto to an SD Card on a late 2011 Mac Book Pro 15 inch?

How do you move pictures from iPhoto to an SD Card on a late 2011 Mac Book Pro 15 inch?

Do you have a SD slot? If not you get a USB to SD memory card adpater at the computer/office/online store and use that.
It appears as a drive on your machine and you can use Export from iPhoto or drag and drop methods too.
    Make sure you backup

  • What is the most RAM I can put in mac book pro 15 inch 2.16(2006)?

What is the most RAM I can put in mac book pro 15 inch 2.16(2006)?

Depends. There were two version of the MBP that shipped in 2006 with different max RAM. The quickest way to see which is yours is to use System Profiler to get your Mac's "Model Identifier."
Do "About this Mac" from the Apple menu and, in the resulting window, click "More Info..." That launches System Profler for you.
The answer is in the first screen of Profiler that comes up--"Hardware Overview." Note the second line in this example:
If the Model Identifier says "MacBookPro1,X" you are limited to 2G RAM. Period.
If the Model Identifier says "MacBookPro2,X" you can install two, 2G modules for an installed total of 4G RAM, but the logic board can only access 3.2G of it. That becomes your "max RAM.
    Hope this helps,
    AJ
