How do I launch Quicktime Player on Mac Book Air? I know that my computer came with it, and when I try to launch it, the icon tells me that it is Version 10.1. Nothing else happens. There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. Waking after sleep Mac Book Air

Hi. I have posted this question before and was kindly informed by a member that the problem of waking after sleep might disappear after updating to OSX 10.9.4. It hasn't helped. Are there any suggestions. This is happening repeatedly now and I see from one member who reset theta the problem returned. My 11 inch Mac Book Air is only six or seven months old. This started happening occasionally within three months of purchase. Any suggestions?

How can I switch my originally i-tunes-mediathek on my Sony Vaio Laptop to my Mac Book Air Laptop (as I will give the Vaio laptop as a present to somebody else) ?

Originally I have set up my itunes account inclusive mediathek via my Sony Vaio Laptop some years ago.
Meanwhile I bought a Mac Book Air as well which is also connected to my itunes account.
For my music I am using Itunes-match meanwhile.
Now I want to give the Sony Laptop as a present to a friend.
But I want to know if that will give me any trouble if I don't have the base-laptop anymore?
Can I somehow switch my "base-itunes-account" to my Mac Book Air or is this not necessary?

Ok, good. All you really need to do is to launch iTunes on the Sony and from the menu bar pull down Store > Deauthorize This Computer. Log out of the iTunes Store as well. Now the computer can no longer be used with your iTunes Store account. I also suggest that before you give it away or sell it you wipe the HDD and reinstall the original OS that came with it. After you backup any personal data, of course.

I was also getting the same error; the solution wasn't in getting lates JRE , or FireFox plugin...etc...
Actually it is and it isn't:
Everything on my computre seemed like it was at the correct meeting center version for our site..the correct JRE and plugin for firefox; but it would error our "Error [7] ...commonuiart.framework" ... or some other framework..
So after trying everything but re-installing the web-meeting-center....I did what I usually don't do to solve a technical issue.. I re-installed it (I use this as very last resort and in this case it worked) Yes I re-installed the version that should be available in the "Download" section for your host webex site (yes every

I have a mac book air 11". When I boot up connected to the huge Thunderbolt screen it detects the detects the fact and gives me great quality. now I am travelling away from the scree it boots up, nice picture, then switches to rubbish resolution.

I have a Mac Book air 11". Normally at home I connect this to a large Thuderbolt Screen. When booting up it some times gets confused and offers me a low resolution result, but some plugging and unplugging of the screen fixes this. I assume it sometimes "sees" the big screen and sets the resolition accordingly. Sometimes does not. But now... I am away from big screen and cannot get the Macbook air on its one to deliver anything other than really poor resolution. I ahve done displays and chosen all three - but no better. And I have said Choose the Best ONe... again not luck. Any ideas. I read in back posts this was a problem a few years ago.

I believe you have a failing GPU (aka Video Card). Run AHT and see what it tells you. Do not be afraid to run it up to three times in succession if at first it does not detect an error (sometimes errors that are caused by overheating will not show up until the computer is stressed enough - repeating AHT will do that).
As an aside - the MBA was not designed to take the place of a desktop. If you are powering your MBA by leaving it permanently attached to the thunderbolt port on the monitor you are shortening your battery life.

Well I don't know anyone that closes the cove and leaves it for Hours... But try going to System Prefrences > Energy Saving > Uncheck Put Hard Disk to Sleep.
