Mac book air internetsharing

Hello, dear fellow Mac users!
Yesterday I updated my Macbook Air (early 2013, 2,4 GHz Intel Core i7, Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB: Ps I have no idea if you'r needing this?) to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. I also have an IPhone 5s.
So far my IPhone connected via Internetsharing with my mac, but somehow it doesn't work anymore.
So my mac would be the router! I found various tutorials on the internet and it seemed to work somehow but the little triangle with the arrow is light grey. I think it's supposed to be black?
Any help welcome!
If you need more information just let me know!
best regards, Christina

any suggestions to reduce the timing?
Yeah,.... Don't use a MacBook Air to perform complex video manipulation. It is not its forte. You just have to be patient on certain tasks for which the Air is the slowest Mac. Yet, for certain other tasks, the Air is incredibly adept and zippy. One just has to understand that for processor and graphic chip related tasks, it may take longer.
The MacBook Air has certain trade-offs. If it didn't, it would be called a Macbook Pro-Air.
