Have you install Oracle XE as an Administrator or member of Administrators group?
Have you ever started the Oracle home page?
Do you have any other Oracle installation?
What kind of OS do you use? I can see Windows 2000.
Those two services OracleServiceXE and OracleXETNSListener are enough to run XE.
You could check by the Task Manager:
- OracleServiceXE should be about 50K
- OracleXETNSListener – 6K
Turn those services to Manual. Restart the computer and Start Oracle database.
You can check the LISTENER.ORA. Host should be your host name. Same into TNSNAMES.ORA. If the HOST = YourComputerName there are OK.
Then you should check for any firewall. For instance, Zone Alarm could prevent to access your database.

After my update on my Mac OS 10.8.4 yesterday I my Microsoft Outlook and Power Point crashes on start up and no one seem to have any idea what I can do.
I have followed every recommendations on the web and cant get it going again. This is very frustrating as I work outstanding in my mail box.
I get "EXC_BAD_ACCESS" each time I launch my Outlook mail.

However, I managed to resolve the problem eventually.
Had to reinstall and update to latest patch.
Sorted now.
Its amazing that there is no straight solution for this problem. Everyone in the forum pointed me to the same old postings I had read and followed.

Hello, What I do is I open Lightroom 5.3 and go to 'Help' and go to 'Check for Updates' then click on it which brings up Lightroom Update Available (see image below) and as soon as I click 'Download' I get the error as shown above (in the other image). Hope this helps

Apart from what the exception already tells you (your Applet needs a library called J3D.dll but cannot find it), this always happens when the JVM tries to call native methods but is not provided with the libraries these native methods are implemented in.
If you know where to find J3D.dll you could try to start your JVM with the additional parameter -Djava.library.path=[pathToJ3D.dll].
If you can't find J3D.dll, make sure you have installed the Java3D Runtime.
If you have more than one SDK or JRE version installed on your system, make sure you use the correct one, that means, the one you installed your Java3D Runtime in.

Are you using the Office for Mac 2011 version, as you need to do? The Office for Mac 2004 is Not at all compatible with Mountain Lion, and the 2008 version has been noted to have some problems running with ML.

you cannot use your pc license to install on a mac. you would need a separate license (and serial number) for that.
adobe allows platform swaps, but only with the latest (xi) version, Order product | Platform, language swap
your option to use acrobat on a mac are to upgrade to acrobat pro xi and change platforms, use a windows emulator (parallels/boot camp etc) on your mac or swap with a third party.

Can anyone please help? I have an unbranded x10 in the UK. PC companion constantly tells me my phone software is up to date (with android 2.1) so I cannot upgrade to 2.3. I've tried all the tips on the SE support page like deleting the database content and looking for the setting to update the phone next time it's connected which doesn't exist (very informative SE!). C_APO_FUN is the authorization object which has two key functions C_SELECTION and C_SELORG. User of C_SELECTION is - If user is not assigned C_SELECTION function then selection icon does not appear in Planning Book.

I am not so well versed in Oracle analytic functions and am having trouble with a sql.
Oracle Version: 9.2.0.1.0
I have a tree table storing heirarchies upto 4 levels.
create table FAMILY_TREE
TREE_ID NUMBER not null,
PARENT_ID NUMBER,
NAME VARCHAR2(100)
I know that using a CONNECT BY PRIOR, I can find out who the previous ancestar is.
select
f.tree_id TreeId,
f.parent_id ParentId,
f.Name Name
from family_tree f
connect by
prior f.tree_id = f.parent_id
start with f.parent_id is null
I need to display all the ancestars in a single line (in different columns), which is where I am stumped.
I need the output, in different columns as :
Joe Jack Harry Rick Ned
Bascially, I need to display in a single row, all the ancestars.
I tried to use joins but it was very very slow due to the fact that I had to perform multiple joins.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

I tried adding my work emails (Company Domain from Sites and Stores) here but its not letting me do that.
I called Telstra they added from there end and is still not working.
They send me service books twice i received nothing and they said i might need to delete existing service books which i cant find on my handset.
The emails i am trying to add is currently working on my BOLD it is not on Z10. I cant even manually add them on the phone. Firstly it ask for email Id and then password and then says The email provider is not trustworthy you like to proceed i click yes to go ahead after 1 minute it goes Make sure your email address and password are entered correctly.
Could anyone please help or may have got the same problem.

Check the below article on how to configure email ID in Z10. It's not must requirement that you need enterprise server. However, you must have POP3 or IMAP (for personal) enabled email services. If you want to add enterprise email then it must support active sync.
