Mac book HDD can't Activate
Hi everybody,
I have a mac book. It can't start when i start it make sound of beep and then no action. So i start it with installation DVD but when i go to chek disk with disk utility i found that my HDD is not activate so i click on the icon for activate but after some minutes occurs a message that go to S.O.S. and check verify disk so i do this and in the verify process it show error that disk can't verrify and can't repair.
Please help me to risolve this.
Is the HDD dammeged or there is a way to risolve this.

What is the error that you receive in Disk Utility? Invalid node structure?
It doesn't sound like the HDD is damaged, but rather it sounds like the drive may have failed (or is failing).

It sounds like you destroyed your boot partition and the recovery partition. Depending on it's age, your MacBook Air might be able to do a net boot. Plug and ethernet connection into it and attempt to boot. If it has the right firmware, it will find a net boot configuration on the net and boot that. Then it will give you a Recovery Partition like display and allow you to reinstall the OS X version that came with it.... assuming that it was Lion or ML. If your computer came with Snow Leopard, then even the net boot won't work.
At that point you need a bootable USB Key, or an external DVD drive AND a Snow Leopard installation DVD.
An Apple Store, if there is one nearby, MAY be able to get you going again. However, whatever is on the SSD now will be toast too. -

Yes. Make sure you use the same Apple ID.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
If you can't re dowload the apps, launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer. Sign out of the iTunes store and try re downloading your apps from the App Store again. -

Depending on what your needs are, you may use Pages included in iWork or purchase it separately (usually there is an evaluation copy with any new mac, I guess) or try other publishing apps. I once used MS Publisher, I remember it was something like a more sophisticated word processor, right?
You may try the cheaper DTP iCalamus or Word for mac. -
i have elements on both my iMac and mac book. On my mac book i can't hold down left click on the pad and on the right hand side move tools i.e. clone, erase tools etc

I installed an airport express, on my mac book i can use the airplay using iTunes, but on my iPhone en ipad the icon for airplay not appears on the screan when i start the music player.
Chances are, you have already tried this and already know the answer.
But, if not....sorry, but no......since your printer is not AirPrint compatible, you must use the extra software workaround in the Mac.
A newer AirPrint printer would allow you to do what you want. -
