I think you are concerned with heat from your Macbook Pro.  (Google Translate is not perfect)
The amount of heat that is generated is a result of the number and types of applications that are open.
Skype and video applications will create a lot of heat.  E-mails and text editing will not create a lot of heat.
The question is, how much heat is being created?  The Macbook Pro will tolerate temperatures well into the 90°c range.  There are internal shutdown provisions if the Macbook Pro gets too hot.
Download from the Internet istat menus:
http://bjango.com/mac/istatmenus/
When your Macbook Pro gets hot, take a picture of istat menus and post it.  Also post a picture of Activity Monitor set to ALL PROCESSES and %CPU to display values from high to low.
Ciao.

  • Received Mac Book Pro 13" uncharged, is it normal?

I received my new Mac Book Pro 13" yesterday. Welcome pack says that all Apple devices are charged and ready to use... but it didn't power on. I plugged in to charge it and it could start with battery at 0%. I shutdown and it charged fully in 2 hours. Can I be calm (and happy ) or Should I go to Apple Store to change it?
    Thank you in advance.

This does seem to be the norm for newer Mac notebooks. There are many reports of brand new Mac notebooks of all models coming with no battery charge. If you do a search of these forum you will find quite a few posts on this subject. Even people that have exchanged the system found the second one they got was the same way.
Whether that is good or bad for the battery I have no idea.

  • TS1713 my power adapter gets very hot on my mac book pro is this normal

my power adapter gets very hot to toutch on my mac book pro is this normal

Hot is normal for the charger but very hot is not. If it were mine It could be that your MBP is drawing too much current. I would take it to the Apple Store and have it checked out.

  • What is the normal shut down time for the mac book pro retina display (late 2013). Mine takes around 20 secs.Is this normal or should i be worried ?

Hi I got a new mac book pro retina display of 8G ram and 256GB ssd (late 2013 model). I was trying to shut down.It was taking around 20-30 secs.Is this normal? When i say shutdown i mean , i just login and shutdown.Do nothing else. I repeated the same process for 4 or 5 times. The numbers are the same.
The boot up takes around 15 secs. Are the numbers crazy or normal.
    Any reply would be helpful.Thanks.

  • I'm getting faint electric shocks thro my forearms from my mac book pro. Is this normal as its very uncomfortable and tedius?

I'm getting faint electric shocks thro my forearms from my mac book pro. Is this normal as its very uncomfortable and tedius?

Sounds like something is shorting out inside your machine or electricity is coming up through your ground wire.
Do you have a proper ground in your location? Don't open or touch anything with a live current insdie, it can kill you
The ground is that third plug in the socket, there should be a wire attached to that, perhaps green, that follows to the electrical panel and from the electrical panel to a thick cable that goes outside to a rod driven deep into the ground or attached to metal sewer plumbing (although I think this isn't legal anymore)
Some people plug their three prong computer power bricks into two pronged (no ground) extension cords, this is very improper and offers no safety protection.
Sometimes if you have a electrical problem elsewhere in the location, electricity flows back up the ground wire and you feel a slight pain when using your machine with a metal case. This also could be a improperly grounded system. There are ground fault interupters for this you can buy, doesn't let electricty flow backwards, audio people use them to prevent noise coming into their equipment.
The current level the MacBook Pro's use is very low DC current, you shouldn't be feeling anything but it's possible.
Have your electrical system checked out by a electrician, also take the MacBook Pro to a more newer location with power and see if it continues.
If it occurs while on battery, no power attached, then it looks like a MacBook Pro specific issue. Perhaps your battery is swelling.

  • What is the normal upload and download speed of a mac book pro?

im curious because my mac book pro has been quite slow and its not old or anything wrong with it.

There is really no "normal."  Uploads & downloads depends on your ISP.  Have you contacted them to see if the problem is on their end?

  • Is normal in the mac book pro with the retina make fan noise al the time ?

Is normal that the new macbook pro with retina make fan noise all the time?

    Hi everyone.
I just bought an mac book pro retina , 15 inches , 2 GHz, Core i7, 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3. I'm a programmer , so, I really don't give to the mac book an exhaustive use, so the performance of the machine is good for me. But recently , I discovery some kind of issue : a noise fan when I reproduce a video from Internet, in full screen mode.
I download the iStatus Menus program for mac, to has a complete dashboard of the situation , and I got this :
    1) When recently start the mac book, the statistics are
All in order, the revolutions of the fan are OK, no fan noise at all.
But , just opened a video in full screen , a few seconds after opened start it, the machine increase the temperature from (normal) 40° to 98° (so high), and the statistics change dramatically , as follow :
As you can see, the fan revolution increase 3x , from  2000 to 6000 . The use of Google Helper increase over 200% . And obviously the noise fan make me crazy,
I've only seen this "issue" on that scenario, ( internet video full screen reproduction ). That's not happen , even when many applications are open.
Should I worry about this ?,  or, this is a normal behaviour on the machine ?.
I'll appreciate any advice or answer.
    Kindly regards.

  • Hi, i want to buy a mac book pro. I was wondering if the ms office suit that i will buy can be a normal version or a one that has to be compatible with mac?

Hi, i want to buy a mac book pro. I was wondering if the ms office suit that i will buy can be a normal version or a one that has to be compatible with mac?

It must be compatible with Mac OS X. You have to install the Mac OS X Microsoft Office version > http://www.microsoft.com/mac
Also, you can use the PC version, but in this case, you will have to install Windows on a virtual machine or Boot Camp, so it's better to use the OS X version. There are alternatives for Office, like Apple iWork or LibreOffice, if you want to try them before

Recently I bought a Mac book pro online, but I was surprised when I received it because there are no DVDs at all with it. Is this normal?

    Ziatron-
That is a really great question! It took some digging to find the answer!
On an older Mac, about 2010 or older, you need access to one of:
    • The Mac App Store ( such as on a Mac with a working 10.6.8 or better)
    • working Recovery HD
    • a bootable 10.7 Installer, on thumb drive, Hard drive, or DVD
So for ONE 2010 or older Mac with a bad drive, you would have to buy the US$70 Apple thumb drive, or have previously made a DVD or Hard Drive when you previously downloaded 10.7. Or you re-install 10.6.8 then overwrite it with the downloaded 10.7.
    • another Mac with 10.7 installed so you could transfer Recovery HD to the down Mac with "Lion Recovery Disk Assistant"
OS X Lion: About Lion Recovery Disk Assistant
On some 2010 and most 2011 models, if Recovery HD is messed up or not Installed, but you have a working Broadband connection [with DHCP enabled], the Firmware has been upgraded so it will boot from the Internet and do the whole job using "Lion Internet Recovery" as described in the second section of this glossy article:
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/recovery/
If no DHCP is available [no Router upstream, either yours or your ISP's], it may not work.

FROM A FEW DAYS AFTER A FEW HOURS .. PART ONE FAN AS HE HAD SUPERHEATED PC! is NORMAL?? do??

Firstly, you aren't in MacBook Pro forum.
    MacBook Pro

CAPS isn't really of any help reading or getting help.
Try monitoring the temperature so you know for sure. Yes it can run hot.

You may want to boot from your original OS X DVD - hold D on statup - and that way run Apple Hardware Test

  • HT1338 As soon as I switch on my Mac book Pro, I get a sound from the optical drive. Is it normal??

It is a 13" MAC book pro bought about a month back.

In addition to checking system preferences/sound/output and selecting built in if that does not work, make sure volume is up and mute not checked.
You can try the following, Take a set of headphones and plug theim in and out several times (there is a micro switch that sometimes gets stuck)
Go to applications>utilities>Audio MIDI set up, see if you can select built in there, make sure volume is uo mute not checked.
    Try a NVRAM/PRAM reset:
Power off, power back on holding the following keys   OPTION + COMMAND + P + R
Continue to hold these keys till you hear the start chime 2 times, then release, reboot

  • Mac Book Pro (2012, 15 inch and up to date on software won't start up normally.

I was Playing League of Legends on my 2012 Mac book pro (the most recent one) I switched desktops and began to work on an adobe after effects project, after I decided to play league of legends (LoL) again. I forgot it was on another desktop so I tried to open the application, it told me, "this application is already open, would you like to close the other one and open this one?" I accepted. After 3 minutes of waiting no screen came up but on the top left hand side of the screen LoL still appeared, I pressed Command+Q and nothing happened, my Mac froze. I proceeded to use the most common and apparently useless technique of holding down the power button and rebooting the Mac. Upon rebooting, this bar kept on filling up and after it finished, a loading thing rotated below the apple logo for a while, later the Apple logo left and the thing kept spinning. After 2 minutes of this I used my iPhone to look up solutions, I reset NRAM and PRAM, failed. I tried pressing Command+R during boot. My Mac asked me what language I wanted to use... **** no I don't want to wipe my Mac (I haven't backed it up in ages and I don't want to loose my stuff) Do I have to reset my Mac or is there an easier way? I have already called customer support and some guy told me to buy software support... It was $99... No thx Should I take my laptop in to the store?

Get an external drive and reinstall OS X on that then boot the system from that external drive and copy your files over from the internal drive to the external. Then Format and reinstall everything on you internal drive.
