Mac Book Pro with a separate apple keyboard (wired) randomly the keyboard will make a thudding noise like a key is depressed and then freezes
Hi I'm using a Mac Book Pro with a separate apple keyboard (wired). Randomly the keyboard will make a thudding noise like a key is depressed and stuck (which it isn't) which then stops when the keyboard is unplugged. I've tried rebooting, plugging it into another port and unplugging my mouse from it and it hasn't solved the issue. I also can't pin point when it does it, it seems to be random so sometimes, like now it's fine and then others it does it every few minutes. I'm reluctant to throw the keyboard out if there is a chance it can be fixed. Any ideas?
You cannot use any additional devices on the keyboard's USB ports when used in this fashion (except perhaps ONE low power Apple mouse). Anything more draws too much power and may make the keyboard malfunction. In general, keyboards do not tend to complain about low power, they just stop working properly.

Actually, you can - but it is special order only - they consider it as a customized unit....You might have to wait a week or two.....
You can check the Apple Store at the Mall of the Emirates and see if they have it in stock....
Or, you can go to Apple's website select UAE as the country and configure it with the US keyboard and wait for delivery...

Open your Displays system preferences. Is there an Arrangement tab and does it show two screens? If no Arrangement tab then your mac does not know it has two screens. Maybe smc and pram reset will shake it free and maybe not. Maybe there's something wrong with the connection. Thunderbolt plugs are similar to mini-displayport plugs so make sure the plug is pushed firmly in so that essentially all the metal part disappears inside the socket. The plugs can be a little tricky in that you need to make sure the plug is fully seated in their socket.

My Mac book pro all of a sudden doesn't have the airplay icon and doesn't work with my Apple TV . Why ?
The Airplay icon will not display if the OS is unable to locate any Airplay devices.
I would check that both devices are connected to the same network and maybe even power cycle the network devices - eg router etc
Maybe even try to connect both devices to another network like an iPhone personal Hotspot and see if that helps to isolate the problem -

I come from other thread about problems whit wifi connection with Yosemite. The great Linc David solved the problem and that has meant thoroughly clean the Mac
I have a Mac Book Pro 13", early 2011 (!only four years¡) with 8 GB of RAM (the maximum), 2,7 GHz Intel Core i7 processor and whit Yosemite everything it´s significantly slower that with Mavericks: open a word, do a screening...even when typing fast some first characters don´t appear.
My conclusion it´s clear the max OS that you can install in one Mac Book Pro 13", early 2011,(like me) it´s Maverick. Yosemite clearly slows the mac.
If someone can convince me otherwise I would be very grateful, because I did not backup before installing the Yosemite. And i don´t know how go back. Here you have the Entrecheck report:

Hi, the last install dvd that came out for mac's was Snow Leopard,10.6.3. Lion is a download from apple. You cannot just install it over Yosemite. You would have to backup your drive to save files you want and do a clean install. You might want to look into getting more memory. i have LR5 on a mac book pro with a WD external hard drive with my with my LR5 images . my problem is my external drive is corrupted .i was told by apple that my macshow the hard drive is there but it is not moumting and have to be reformat. i have to use recovery data to save my images on my external before i can refomat.iam willing to lose my images on my extenal hard drive but i would like to know can i erase my LR5 images and start over or delete LR5 and download it again

File >> New Catalog
Choose a new name and save.
When the empty catalog launches you are ready to start over. -
