Mac: "+" button on top will'nt resize PS to full screen

On Photoshop cs5 MAC, the "+" button on top of window
will not resize the current window to full screen, just to the size of the current open image.
Is there any solution to that?

View>Fit to Screen will just fit 1 side to screen (horizontal or vertical), and it will "zoom" the image to fit to screen.
In cs4 the "+" button was resizing the entire "window" to full screen, letting the image size as it is, and the empty space around the image was the Grey color.
Full screen mode will not help me, because i cant see tabs.

Resizing Safari to full screen

Is there any way to resize safari to full screen? I have tried with the Green + icon in upper left of window but it resizes itself very little. I have tried to find the answer on support page without luck, as a matter of fact, I am new to MAC after being a pc user for years. I love my MAC except for the documentation and lack of support for questions about everyday usage.

Of course you should use whatever method works best for you...
But just to point it out, the Mac 101 pages specifically mentions - within two clicks of the front page - how to resize a window (screenshot). (And I am very unfamiliar with the Mac 101 site and just clicked quickly through to see if it that information was readily discoverable.) I think those pages probably do a lot more than any standard manual, in terms of walking you through how to use the Mac OS and how it is different from Windows, and also in terms of readily finding little tidbits just by following the links and quickly skimming the categories.
But again, use whatever resources you find the most functional. The forums are definitely a great way to get quick answers to simple "how to" questions like this one.
I have a feeling some of your difficulties finding information are simply due to being in a different world from the one you're used to. In my experience, as a Mac user first and a Windows user only later and by necessity, I have found it much easier to get answers to Mac questions and I've never found Windows help resources to be the least bit easy to find or simple to use.
What Leopard manual were you trying to download? Do you have the link?

Seeing small top portion of taskbar in CS6 full screen mode

I don't know what changed, but i just started seeing the very top portion of the taskbar in full screen mode. It is just a thin line that gives you access to the taskbar without minimizing CS6. I did not see this a few days ago. I am running Windows 7 64 bit on a loaded PC.

I took a screen shot, but the problem is not apparent. The taskbar is a very thin white line and open applications show as a very small white rectangle. This enables you to acess an open application from the taskbar without minimizing photoshop. When you bring a cursor to the bottom of the screen the taskbar opens. It did not do this until recently. What I don't like is I am always opening the taskbar by mistake and have to wait for it to close.

I am showing firefox in my tray but when I click on it, it will not open to a full screen. I have been using it up until today without a problem in Windows 7

When I put my mouse over the firefox icon in the lower tray it shows small pictures of the home page but when i click on these they will not open to a full page. I am using windows 7. This problem just started today. I can use internet explorer without a problem. Thanks for any assistance you can give. I contact HP and they said to contact your support as they only support internet explorer.

How do I get the top bar back after making it "full screen?" I try hitting "alt" but nothing happens!

The F11 key toggles Full Screen on or off. The bookmark side bar when I click onto a topic will not come up to full screen it stays only in the side bar area.

Is there a setting some where that needs to be adjusted. Some topics will come up to full screen, but yahoo is staying only on the side bar. To get a full screen version I have to google.

Thank you for your question. I understand that websites, such as the google image search, are not displaying the same way in another browser. In order to make sure that this is not caused by an add on please see if it happens in [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]
It could also be that you need to select the option to open the image in a new page. The new image search has the block bock appear when you select one of the images. Make sure that javascript is enabled for this animation to work correctly on the page.

After re-directing to another URL the page control buttons on the top right don't response (minimize, full screen and close X)

From about a week ago, when I redirect from a given site to another URL (A link in the first site), the new site is opens and all controls such as "go back one page", "reload current page", "Print" etc. are working (responses) well. Only the top right 3 buttons - "minimize", "restore up/maximize" "close" are not responding (hanging) – actually the first top line of the webpage doesn’t show the proper site name (on the top left) but keeps the header of the previous window (A site, Windows navigator, windows player, etc. – the last one that was open before the hang-up). i.e., the top line of the Firefox browser doesn’t show up but I see the header of the previous window…
Also I opened the help "about Mozilla Firefox" to learn about my version and I can't close it.
Also, after it happened, any new Firefox browser window I opened (clicking the browser button for additional browser), it encountered same problem.
It happened also when an advertising popup happens when I open a site...
If I navigate not from a link on an open site, but by choosing new sites only from my bookmarks list, everything is working properly.
I tried help suggestions about add-ons, Spybot-SD immunization, etc. but can't solve the problem
I can close the opened hanged windows only by using the “Windows Task Manager” Window

It looks like you have some malware.

I want to purchase an ipad but the program I would use onit the most to access my customer base will not show me the full screen and I can not side it over to show the rest of the ifo. Tis program will work on the Motorola xoom but thats not what I want .

Frfx opens showing homepage in small icon on Windows 7 bar at bottom. But it will not open with a full screen. Tried uninstalling and downloading newest. Did not help..

Upgraded to 7.1 and youtube will no longer expand to full screen on IPad

When watching youtube videos in Safari, I click on the expand box, all of the other video thumbnails disappear but the viewing frame never expands. (Everything was fine until I loaded ios 7.1.)

Youtube (Google) could be the culprit: I noticed the Youtube "detail tab" on the top left has changed as well.
Sure, SBerman, I could download the Youtube app but frankly, I find it irritating to need to do this. Not only does my device get completely cluttered with too many apps, I, like Jamieryan157, am suspect of Google's motives and what I don't know.
As I was taught years ago, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Apparently that is no longer part of a Computer Science Curriculum.
As a consumer, I'm fed up with all these jokers forcing their little apps down our throats and we need to push back: unless there is unique functionality and features provided by a dedicated app framework, either work in a browser or I'll find another product to meet my needs! (Uuuurrrrgh!)

If I get what you are asking... Place your video in indesign at the small size you want. With the video selected, go to the "Audio & Video" folio overlay panel, check "play full screen".

Calendar app is not viewable. The window will not resize. Can only see header of the app. Have restarted app and computer.

This is all I can see. it will not resize the window, full screen mode shows only this as well.

It really seems like a group policy issue, something like network security, and have you tried to re-map the drives, test the restult again.

Full screen button in MS Word for Mac 2011?

Does anyone know how to add the full screen button (two diagonal arrows in the top right hand corner of most apps) to MS Word for Mac 2011? I don't want to use full screen mode. I just want to get Word to fill the screen without manual adjustment.

I recently had my hard drive replaced and had to reinstall Microsoft 2011. I know for a fact that I had the diagonal arrows before and now they are gone. I have searched high and low on how to get them back on with no luck.

My mac pro will not open to the menu screen. It stops at the apple.

Thanks of responding Kappy. When I push the on button, the computer will advance to the first gray screen with the apple in the middle, but goes no further. I'm not technical so not sure what diagnostics to perform. A friend told me that my hard drive may be bad or that I need to repartition my disc. He also mentioned that either way I would loose all of my data. This started last week with the pinwheel of death appearing often during the day.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
