Mac Computer - loaded Lightroom 3 - When I try to import it is telling me READ ONLY can't import, what am I doing wrong?

I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I have the newest MAC and I loaded my Lightroom 3 and when I try to import photos it says READ only. And it keeps defaulting to iPhoto.

I been trying to use Lightroom 5 which is new with Nikon d810 camera also new and i am not able to import photos from the card.
Are you using Nikon software at any step of the process before import into Lightroom? If so, please try importing directly from the camera card using Lightroom only, and no Nikon software in the process.
If that's not it, please quote the exact error message.

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

I am an amateur DJ trying to record a mix made in Cross DJ. I followed a tutorial instructing me to use Soundflower to route my system audio to QuickTime and have had no problem routing. This is because you have Punch on the fly enabled under Options (top menu)>Audio>Punch on the Fly.... signified by the letter P instead of the letter R

in the "Print" dialogue select "Contact Sheet", then press the "Customize" button.
In the Customize view you can rearrange your images by dragging them around.
Just a work-around, but I hope this helps.

HT200197 My new Apple TV when I try to load photos or films from my IPad it keeps spinning around as if it's updating what am I doing wrong?

This indicates a network issue. Power cycle the ATV and router.

Can't send Mail on Mac Mail, but can on Entourage - what am I doing wrong?

I have been using Entourage on my Macs, and have decided to switch to Mac Mail. I have multiple accounts for my websites on my dedicated server. I use standard ports for sending and receiving mail - and, as it is my server, I can dictate all controls.
So... I can receive mail on my Macs, but can not send. I am trying to set-up IMAP accounts - and my server requires i use as outgoing" mail.mywebsite.com
I use a linux server using cPanel.
It works on Entourage. But Mac's Mail will not accept the outgoing mail information. I have tried with and without authentication (which is required). I have overridden the port and tried each individually (25, 465, etc..). I have tired smtp.mywebsite.com rather than the required mail.mywebsite.com, just to see. I have tried every combination of information with no luck. I sort of think I know how to set it all up, but can not understand what I am missing?
Why can I not get Mac Mail to send?
I can match what is in use by Entourage - but it just does not work.
I use MS Office 2008's Entourage - and to make things more fun, Mac Mail will not import my Entourage accounts (says it can not find them). I am using a 3 month old iMac with latest OS. I have been on Macs since 1988 - so I just don't get what is going on. HELP PLEASE. Puuuullleeeeeaze.

If you open the Activity viewer (click on Window in the menubar and choose Activity) and watch when you try to send, what phases if any are indicated are taking place before failure?
What type of authentication is required for this SMTP? When using in Entourage, what are the selections in Advanced sending options, particularly regarding the box beside Use same settings as receiving mail server?

We switched from Rogers to Bell Fibe and our IPad and iPhone work but out Mac computer gets stuck when we try to get on internet through safari. What should we do to connect? The system says we are connected and a string connection?

In Mail's Accounts preference pane delete the Yahoo account, close Mail, reopen and add the account back with the new password. See if that will jump start the Yahoo account,.

I uninstalled bootcamp but when my MacBook Pro starts up, I still have to press "alt/option" when the screen goes grey. Otherwise, a black windows screen pops up. What am I doing wrong?

At one point in time, I believe I had attempted to install bootcamp on my MacBook Pro. My university support center said that I had to press "alt/option" when starting up everytime, otherwise it would be a black windows screen and I had no idea where to go from there. (So I never was able to fully utilize the Bootcamp application. Unfortunately, even after I uninstalled bootcamp, this is still happening. How do I fix this? Thank you.

And no to needing to hit Option every time. Obviously they never actually booted and used Mac.
All it was is the startup parameter was saved and still set to look for a partition that does not exist and got lost.
ZAP PRAM is also helpful but you would still use Startup Disk.

There should be a + sign in the lower right corner. Tap that to add an event. If there is no + sign - go to Settings>iCloud>Calendar and toggle the setting on and off.
If you want to sync your calendar with iCloud - leave it on - but don't sync the calendar from your computer or you may get duplicate entries.

I have been doing this for several years and this problem is a more recent issue, like in the last 6 months. I have been deleting the duplicate entries, on both systems, but some duplicates reappear through "general" entries that are connected to the correct color for a Calendar, but not the name. I am going nuts and wasting tons of hours trying to get the 3 calendars to sync without generating duplicate entries.

Choose one of the Calenders on ONE of the computers OR the MobileMe as the Master / correct account.
The REINITAILISE the data of MobileMe within preferences on the computer defining the datatransfer correctly (in the advanced box of preferences). The synchronise iphone contacts and calender directly on-line to MobileMe.
