Mac crashes adobe acrobat 9.0 constantly

Question

Hello!
I constantly have the adobe acrobat 9.0 crashing on my IMac at work. We have purchased CS5 and I have spoken with an Adobe rep who insists that the issue is Mac related and has nothing to do with them.
Before I can even get ready to print or view a .pdf the application closes.

I'd start with the fact that Acrobat Pro 9.0 had numerous problems, and has been updated many times since that initial release. Adobe is up to 9.5.1 for Acroat Pro now, so your version is quite old and in fact predates even Snow Leopard by several months, so Lion compatibility is suspect. I'd strongly suggest you update to the latest release of Acrobat Pro 9.x:

and then see how things stand. I'm highly surprised that the Adobe tech didn't suggest that immediately, which makes me very dubious as to that person's "expertise" since he apparently spent three hours of your time doing various troubleshooting steps without even suggesting an update. Blaming it on some vague "Mac security feature" is almost certainly just hogwash.
