Mac download- Windows install
Is it possible to download the CS6 Creative Suite Design and Web Premium on a mac computer, to transfer to a Windows computer via USB? How would I go about ensuring that the USB device is in the right format for a Windows user to be able to open up the file?

You don't need to download the Windows support software, because in Snow Leopard, they are only available as a download for the Late 2010 MacBook Air.
Instead, you have to buy Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The Snow Leopard disc contains the Windows drivers for your Mac, so you have to install them after finishing the Windows installation -
I have a seagate external hard drive with files transferred from my windows pc. If I will download NTFS Driver from seagate to my mac, could I install it safely without harming my files? I am afraid.. I might erase all my important files during the installation..

Because when i get to the part in Boot Camp Assistant that says Start Windows Installation it says u need a disc... is there no other way??Get the physical copy (disk) this will enable you to reinstall when (not if ) it messes up.

As long as your license supports both platforms you should only have to download the Mac version and install/activate using your serial number. If you need help finding a link to download the file, please indicate the PSE version you need.

I'm looking to use Bootcamp on my iMac 24". If I download Windows 7 from the Windows website, can I properly install it to my Mac? Do I need the disks instead?
I'm hoping to download it from their website because I can pay $30 for the student discount instead of $119...When burning the .iso file to a disc restrict the burn-speed to 2x
Otherwise the disc will most likely not work.
It's a common phenomenon on Macs.

I have already installed Window-7 in my Mac (64 bit). When I downloaded window support software I every time saw network error option on my screen. But network working very well and I can brows webpage. Will someone suggest me support for OSx Lion .
If I remember right there "may" be a problem if you have a proxie settings enabled.
System Preferences/ Network/ Advanced/ Proxies. Can't remember which one or if it was an issue in 10.7 or 10.6. Just make sure their all unchecked and try again.
You might try a search in these forums for more information. Different fix's for different issue's.

I recently brought a mac and downloaded windows with the help of boot camp and by mistake i installed windows 7 ultimate version whereas i had the cd and serial key of windows home premium i started installing windows home premium from windows 7 ULTIMATE then after the exctraction of files and everything the windows setup came and my mouse and keyboard stopped working and i dont know how to open mac os x there is no option anywhere?? what shall i do pls help!!!!if there are any keyboard shortcut key to open mac os x or boot camp pls mention.

Unless you've done anything to change it, Google keeps every email that ever passes through their server in your All Mail folder/mailbox/label. Even if you delete stuff, they hold onto it, there. You have to go out of your way to actually delete anything permanently.

friends wireless internet connection is OK but after updating explorer to 8 his browser went dead. Now he has a good wireless connection but no browser to act as interface. If I could download firefox install program to a flash drive and copy to his workstation the problem would be solved.
My problem is; Mozilla download page sees my mac and only allows me to download a mac version. A choice before downloading a version might be nice. Hello, I wish to install Linux Ubuntu on my macbook pro by using boot camp to set aside space. Whenever I load the Boot Camp Assistant application out of the utilities folder in applications, it only gives me the options to download windows support software and install windows 7. I do not want this, I just want to be able to slide that little bar to set aside the space on my hard drive that i can use for Linux. I tried just downloading the windows support software but my internet is immensely slow and it has been an hour or so since it started and it's not even half way done. When this download is finished will i get the option to partition or will i just be faced with those same options?
I am on a 13" macbook pro, with apple OS X snow leopard version 10.7.2
A lot of the data on this macbook was transferred over from my old macbook i had.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
Thank you for reading.Well thank you for your honesty. Apple requires you have to have a Mac to develop iPhone apps, ergo my foray into OS-Xland. No way around it that one except for running OSX in a VM, which would have probably saved me some quid, true enough.
BUT for those interested parties: VirtualBox has a startup script in /Library/StartupItems/VirtualBox that will prevent OSX from fully booting on the initial (and required) rEFIt boot cycle. Once I temporarily moved that out of the StartupItems rEFIt went in as expected.
FYI, the openSUSE desktop running native is a little peppier than OSX native which was a nice surprise. Now if the Mac just had more open source software we would have a deal. (: -
I have downloaded and installed the latest version of numbers on my mac. Everytime I save and then try to reopen that document, I receive a message telling me that I need a new version of numbers. Also, when I try to sort the date column, it sorts out of order. The last version sorted fine.

When you install the new iWork version, the old iWork version is kept, so it looks like you are opening your old version.
To fix this, open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and drag the new Numbers version to the Dock, so you can access to it quickly. Open all documents from this version. I don't recommend you to delete the old Numbers version in case you need it.

I am using Firefox 7.0.1 on Mac 10.7.2, my downloads window and my show all history window would not open. After trying everything, I had to remove all my firefox information from the computer and reinstall then make a new profile with the profile manager. That fixed it but when I re-installed download helper the problem occurred again. I repeated this to make sure it was download helper.
I located the problem and it is not Downloadhelper. When I open firefox on my second monitor (I use an imac and a second monitor for dual screen) I can no longer see my downloads window.
