Mac Estimated time is always wrong... FOR YEARS!

Sometimes it will say estimated time remaining 45 minutes and then it will just jump to 10 minutes and then back up to something rediculous like "about an hour" and then back down to 20... It's crazy and as it's been this way as far as I can recall for the last 10 years and 20 Macs later.
What's upwith Mac time and why is it alway way off?

Estimated time remaining on your battery is entirely dependent on what you are doing, and the power consumption of that activity. For example, if you visit a site with some fancy Flash animations, that can drive power consumption way up. Then when you navigate away from the site, power consuption goes down.

How do i delete a download trying to come in. Lost TV Series wants to download each time. its been there for years

This is in reference to downloads on the Itunes App. i'm currently using a Lenovo laptop with Windows 8.1. my entire iTunes downloaded with no problem, however, there are 4 downloads from LOST TV series that wants to download all of the time. I do delete them from downloading and they disappear, but the next time a download is available, they all show up again. They've been there for years. Should I let them download then delete them that way. it down interfere with new downloads when they are coming in, so I have to delete these Lost series. Please help me get rid of something I don't want.

I'm still working slowly on downloading these suckers. Anybody have any ideas?

My system time is always wrong, until I open date and time

Hello,
I have my system set to auto-update time.
However every time I boot up, the time is wrong, until I go into date and time.
For instance, right now, my system time says's it it 10:40 AM. It is currently 5:40 PM PST (had to look at my phone to know)
Please help me fix this ASAP!

If you have a desktop, there is a battery inside that keeps tabs on the time when it is powered down, or unplugged. If you have a laptop, that's the job of the battery that supplies your laptop when it's running.
if you have a desktop, most likely the battery is dead. This is a user replaceable part, so unplug it, look around inside for something that looks like a battery(like a AAA one, but not exactly), pull it out, and find a replacement.
If you have a laptop as I do, and your battery won't hold a charge very long, as mine won't, then every time I turn it on, I have to go into Date & Time and tell it to update.

Why is mac mail and ical always asking for my login keychain?

This problem is driving me crazy! Every time I close my Mac and then reopen it, I get windows saying that Mail needs my login keychain, and the same for iCal and sys admin. I've done the KeyChain first aid and nothing works. Help!

Making sure you can use your phone when you need it is certainly a concern of every consumer. I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with your phone but you have reached the right place for assistance. Has your phone completed any recent software updates at all? Time Setting Always Wrong

For some strange reason, when I turn the "Set Automatically" on in the date and time setting, it jumps a day ahead and gives me some bizarre time at 1:30am... The time seems to only work when it's set manually. I know, no big deal... But what is causing it to do that?

Set automatically? I see Time Zone and Set Date & Time.
Try resetting network settings.
Tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings.
Sometimes just resetting the iPad can help with a time issue. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

How do I sync my calendar without messing up the times. Everytime I set up my calendar on one device and then look at it through icloud on another device the times are always wrong. (yes they are ALL apple devices)

FileVault 2 stuck on Estimating Time Remaining...

So, I decided to try to encrypt my SSD which is the primary drive installed in the secondary slot (instead of the optical drive).
The FileVault 2 is stuck on Estimating Time Remaining... for 2 days now, so I guess it is not going anywhere.
Any ideas?

I't also happened to me, you should go into safe mode and move the file com.apple.corestorage.corestoraged.plist to desktop. It is located on system/library/launchdaemons.
Then continue encryption and wait till its over. Then decrypt if you want.

Don't switch email providers. Switch to another email client on your Mac. It is not Yahoo. I have 3 Yahoo accounts and never have any problems getting or sending mail from/to those accounts. But I don't use the built in Mac Mail program. I use Thunderbird. I use thunderbird on both Mac OS X and Windows. Been using it for some time now with no problems getting my Yahoo mail, Google gmail mail or form my work email account.

Take your Mac to a location with a fast, relaible Internet connection that will be all yours during the duration of the download.
If you want to complain, PLEASE call Apple and do so.
Internet only downloads of OS X is completely stupid, it assumes everyone has reliable Internet everywhere and /or no data caps.

All my markers on a given piece of audio allows me to left click to highlight the time signature until my audio reaches the one hour point. From there on, the left click will not give me the drop down menu in order to copy and then paste into an Excel sheet I then have to submit for the proofing purposes. After the one hour mark, I can only control/c in order to highlight, then when I slide up to my Excel sheet, I'm able to right click and paste. Why is the program not, all of a su allowing me to left cllick the mouse and have a drop down menu give me the option to "copy, " as it does for any time signature markers up to 1:00:00.000?

Which version of Audition? With the latest version of Audition running on a Windows 7 machine I can't get a dropdown menu at all when I left click on the time in Markers List. The only way to do it is with cntrl-c.
