If you already have Reader XI installed on your machine, you can simply download the 11.0.09 patch from Adobe - Adobe Reader : For Macintosh : Adobe Reader 11.0.09 update - All languages and apply it manually.
If you wish to install a fresh copy of Reader XI, please install Reader XI from Adobe - Adobe Reader download - All versions. When the product is installed, launch it and select Help-->Check for Updates. This will update the application to the latest version available i.e. 11.0.09.
The Adobe - Adobe Reader download - All versions page will be updated on September 23, 2014 with the latest Reader XI 11.0.09 installers.

Doing an internal Mac adjustment for reading/writing to NTFS HD

I am doing an internal setup using Terminal to allow my MacBook Pro 13(late 2012) OS X 10.8 to be able to read/write from a Seagate Backup Plus external HD that is formatted in NTFS. Here is what you should do:
Uninstall other 3rd-party NTFS software, like Paragon, Tuxera or NTFS-3G.
Edit /etc/fstab (you can do this with "sudo nano /etc/fstab"
Add the following line:
LABEL="VOLUME_NAME_WITHOUT_QUOTES" none ntfs rw,auto,nobrowse
Quit your editor (if you used nano, you can do this with Control-X, Y)
Reboot, or if you prefer just unmount and re-mount the partition using Disk Utility
Voila! You have read-write support for this partition in OSX

I can access the Terminal function and can enter the written text shown...however, I am not sure which 'Volume' they are asking for when it says "VOLUME_NAME_WITHOUT_QUOTES" ...is it the Mac HD or the Seagate external HD..and do I also include the _ in the written text line ?
Then when the GNU nano 2.0.6 File: /etc/fstab window comes up and I enter: LABEL="VOLUME_NAME_WITHOUT_QUOTES" none ntfs rw,auto,nobrowse
in this box, I can't quit the editor as it shows:
Quit your editor (if you used nano, you can do this with Control-X, Y) so I am unable to reboot to finish the process.
How do I do that quitting to be able to reboot and finish?
And finally...do I have the Seagate external HD attached while doing this change ?

Did you check for updates from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Macintosh? You can download updates to Acrobat there. You should generally install the updates in order unless indicated otherwise.
However, it may be that what is being sent to Distiller is the problem, not Distiller itself. What is the error message? How are you creating the input for Distiller? I am not quite sure about the steps on a MAC since I use a PC, but at least these questions should help track down the problem. If you can post the full text of the error (or a screen shot), it would help.

I am trying to read PDFs using Acrobat reader in Chrome. When I open a PDF it says: Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you musty launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser.
However, when I open Reader by itself, it happily views PDFs. How to accept the EULA or tell the browser plugin that I have accepted the EULA?

Adobe used to have (discontinued a year ago) a program for printers called ASN whereby we could purchase and download all the latest versions and updates for the full suite CS4 for 2 Macs and 2 PCs at a very reasonable price. We could only download; they did not send box sets. Suddenly all Mac CS4 applications crash on our Mac. Adobe says they no longer support CS4 and won't acknowledge a place to download from their site (of course we have serial number). The other issue is that we are still running Mac OSX 10.4.11 (Tiger) on a non Intel Mac so an upgrade to CS 5.5 will not run on our computer.
Does anyone know where we can find a download of the full CS4 for Mac on the Adobe site? We paid Adobe and feel we should have access to what we paid for. Thanks in advance.

I put my old acrobat back onto my machine (from a backup made before reformatting) but it wants the box serial number. when I did that however, the replacement CS2 photoshop, etc, wouldn't work, so I had to install it again, but then, you guessed it - acrobat won't work again.

Is it possible for a mac to run across a Windows based server such as in a school, and still be able to access all networked folders? I have been told that macs can only read down a certain number of folders

Is it possible to run a mac on a windows based server? We have a server based on Windows 7 in our school, and our techies are reluctant to let me buy a mac as they say macs can only read a number of folders deep, which would preclude me from accessing shared folders on our servers. Is this true, and is there a way round this? I would eventually like to get a suite of macs, but because all our resources are on the server, I have to be able to access them.

I have found that both Linux and Mac (unix) are capable of reading "deep" folders while win 32 will have issues, your it people are clearly wrong. I run a network with both win/mac. And as long as the win servers/pc's that have shares are set to allow apple file sharing in their folder properties. And the macs are set to allow smb there should absolutely no trouble with you accessing anything across the platforms, heck, from a Mac to a win pc on some occasions you don't even need to include a "domain" name to log on to, and you can create aliases and make your own shortcuts etc... So you don't have to manually connect each time you boot up etc... But that's all personal preferences I suppose.
All I can tell you is that, I do it on a daily basis managing a small business. So your answer is yes you can.

Scenario: "MQ Series link for R/3" converts Business-Reports from a third-party software,into SAP IDocs.Each Business-Report contains one XML file and one ZIP file.
2)Being on ABAP side,do I have to worry about how the zip file would be converted into IDocs?
