.mac mail not available on macbook pro.

The last few days my .mac mail is not available on my macbook pro.  I tried deleting .mac account from mail and reinstalling but it says it is unavailable.  Error message reads "The server returned the error: Moved: http://me.com/move"  I can access my .mac account on other computers and iphones, just having a problem with this one computer. Any suggestions?

Are you running DVD SP 4.0.3 on that MacBook Pro?
It won't work.

  • Airport not available on MacBook Pro 15 unibody mid 2009, PLEASE HELP!!!!

Ok, so I just recently put in a new hard drive and battery by myself, since my original MacBook Pro hard drive became "corrupted" most likely due to a parallel desktop software I was using. Anyway so I finally install everything on the new hard drive and airport is not working. The icon is NOT EVEN THERE on the menu bar. I go into Network and the only thing I've got is Ethernet and Firewall. I've tried the "+" thing, and it didn't work. I then went into "Assist Me" , then "Diagnostics" and the airport option is greyed out, so is the external modem. Oh, and the operating system is Snow Leopard  OS X 10.6.3. Has a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor.
I also deleted the "SystemConfiguration" Folder and found something interesting. The "com.apple.airport.preferences.plist" was never there and when I reboot, the "com.apple.network.identification.plist" also disappeared. I had to drag it back into the folder from the desktop where I put a copy just in case something weird happened, which it did.
I checked System Profiler, clicked on AirPort and it gives me stuff under "Software Versions", so I'm guessing it's acknowledging that THERE IS a card and can give me all the information for it, but I can't get the mac to use it. I reset the PRAM AND SMC and still nothin.
So, I figured it must be hardware, right? So I open the mac like i did when I installed the new hard drive and battery, and I CANNOT FIND THE DARN AIRPORT CARD. On the mid 2010 models it's with the bluetooth card at the top and I've tried looking online for ANYONE, who has tried to get to the airport card on the mid 2009 model for the MacBook Pro 15 unibody. And found nothing. I think it's in the clutch, but I'm too scared to touch that area. Does anyone else have any ideas or have I covered all my bases?
I REALLY DO NOT want to go to Apple. I don't have AppleCare and don't have the money to have them poke around and tell me the same thing I already know. And I spent way too much on this computer to not be able to use it to full capacity. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

  • Mail not working on macbook pro

I have no problem accessing mail on my iphone or ipad 2, but on my macbook pro all i get is a spinning gear wheel and a triangle telling me to verify my setting. I've looked til I'm blue in the face and I cant work it out, anyone help!

When you set up an exchange account in Mail, it automatically appends /exchange/username to the servers when it sets up your account. So, no, that's not the answer. It's not enough that you can access Outlook Webmail, there's a server-side difference between browser-based access (true webmail) and mail client-based access. Although Mail allows you to set up an exchange account, most server admins block off-network mail client access (i.e. users at home can use a web browser, but not Outlook, to access their account from their home computers). Further, Mail cannot access the Exchange server directly (if it could, you could access your account if you were connected to your corporate network via a VPN, which you could do now with Entourage).
Bottom line, unless the server admin allows access, you are not going to be able to set this up on your own. If your IT department will allow access, they will probably help you set it up (but, it will most likely be via Entourage and a VPN, unless they are pretty open about their access policies - not a common trait in IT admins).
An easier solution would be if the Exchange server is set up to allow IMAP access - but, again, this is usually not allowed for security reasons.

  • Airplay Not Available on MacBook Pro

I have upgraded three systems to Mavericks so far, a 2008 MacBook Pro, a 2011 Mac mini, and a 2013 MacBook Air. On the Mac mini and MacBook Air I have the airplay icon on the top menu bar to use with my AppleTV.  On my MacBook Pro, this icon is not there, and there is nothing in the Display Preferences. Is there a way to enable airplay on my MacBook Pro?

    Hi MarkN,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you don't see the AirPlay icon on your MacBook Pro, try these troubleshooting steps:
iTunes: Troubleshooting AirPlay and AirPlay Mirroring
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5209
Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes.
iTunes for Mac: Choose iTunes > Check for Updates
iTunes for Windows: Choose Help > Check for Updates
Verify that all your AirPlay-enabled devices' software is up to date.
Verify that all your AirPlay-enabled devices are connected to the same home network.
Note: Some Wi-Fi network configurations offer a guest network that can block certain Internet services from working or seeing other devices on your home network.
If the AirPlay icon doesn’t appear in iTunes
Ensure that you followed these steps to use AirPlay in iTunes. If the AirPlay icon still doesn't appear, try one of the following steps:
If you want to AirPlay to an Apple TV, ensure that AirPlay is enabled on the Apple TV.  From the Apple TV main menu, go to Settings > AirPlay. This should be set to On.
If you want to AirPlay to an Airport Express, ensure that AirPlay is enabled in the device settings.
If you want to AirPlay to a 3rd party AirPlay-enabled device, refer to the user guide.
    All the best,
    Jeremy

  • Freed memory not available 2012 MacBook Pro Retina

I have a 500 GB flash storage drive on my 2012 MacBook Pro Retina. In a bid to run things faster for my music production, I've moved my large ITunes library onto an external hard drive. I backed everything up and trashed the iTunes folder after the external was all working, repaired disk permissions and restarted but my freed memory is still not showing. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper (free) and open it.  It will show all of your files and the respective sizes.  See if this will assist you ion detecting the problem.

  • HT3625 Audio line function not available on Macbook Pro mid 2012

Does Macbook Pro 13 inch (Mid 2012) with OSX Mountain support Audio line?  Its seems that OSX Mountain Lion disabled audio line in function in headphone port. This is a bad move by Apple because I am sure that everyone would like to use line in to record audio from external source.

I am trying to connect an external audio source (line in) to a MacBook Pro 15" (Retina, Mid 2012). The built in phones port does not accept input signals (@Branduan: I can't confirm that itis a dual in/out port). I attached an external soundcard (M-Audio Fasttrack USB), but no signal made it into the MacBook Pro.
Any chance how to get an audio signal into that machine??

  • I need to move email from windows notebook, outlook to mac mail on my new macbook pro

i need to move email from windows notebook-outlook to mac
    mail? need help?

Hi Linc, I started setting up my new computer a few months ago so don't remember the details.  I did not use migration assistant, nor do I wish to, I believe it was set up through icloud.   Now that I needed my calendar while doing taxes I discover there are no events for 2014 and earlier (except 2 oddly enough).  I do remember that iCloud instructions were not clear as to what would happen in the choices it gave.
I copied my old user files over from my external back up after my old computer stopped working, was hoping I could put ical folders in the right place to be used by Calendar or import somehow.

  • Mercury Playback Engine not available on Macbook Pro Retina 15"

    Hi,
I have a Macbook Pro Retina 15" with 16gb of RAM and a 500GB SSD, and am trying to enable Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Open CL) on a legitimate copy of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.  For some reason the selection for that option is shaded and stuck on Software Only.  I have tried installing and enabling the nVIDIA CUDA driver but nothing has changed.  How can I fix this? Thanks.

Looking at this, it doesn't seem that the Retina MacBook Pro's NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M is on the list. And the NVIDIA CUDA driver will give you nothing but heartache (a frequent source of kernel panics).
You might want to take your question to the Adobe Premiere discussion boad to see if there are any current 'workarounds' -> http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere.

  • How does one continue to use Mail on the early MacBook Pro, Model 1,1, that is not upgradable to Lion?  I have been running iCloud on my iPhone (OS5) and iMac (Lion) along with the MacBook Pro (OS Version 10.6.8)

How does one continue to use Mail on the early MacBook Pro, Model 1,1, that is not upgradable to Lion?  I have been running iCloud on my iPhone (OS5) and iMac (Lion) along with the MacBook Pro (OS Version 10.6.8) since November until now.  Mail will no longer download on the MacBook Pro and keeps asking for my password.

Mail should still be usable with your machine - but you'll need to update the settings to conform to the requirements of your system. Check with your ISP (like ATT, etc.) for the settings that will work with your Mail. Once you've updated this, you should be able to email like before.
For example, my ISP required that I go to Mail Preferences/Accounts and make sure the details conform to your email settings.
I have no idea of what your ISP is or what the settings might be, but this is likely the source of the problem.

  • My Mac Mail subfolders on my MacBook Air will not sync in alphabetical order. I am assuming it is a setting that I am not finding since my iMac based at my home office is fine, so is my iPad and iPhone. The core source is Exchange.

If you have been using the mac.com Apple ID to make iTunes purchases recently, then there should be no issues continuing to use it with the new iPhone. I would abandon the new ID as you will never get Apple to merge the two IDs. I have had a mac.com ID for years and continue to use it with my iPhone 4S.
Tell us the issues that you encounter trying to set up the iPhone with the mac.com account.

  • My mail app on my Macbook Pro is not working.

Starting last month (october) my Mail App on my Macbook Pro has not been working properly. It does not automatically update itself and then it just stoped recieving emails all together. The Mail App does not close properly and I can not even force close it. This results in my laptop not being able to turn off. I tried taking the mail box offline and disconnecting the email. Nothing happened. Recently, the app will not even open correctly. What can I do?

From your TimeMachine backup,  before the failure.
    otherwise
command R for Recovery.  Reinstall the entire OS.

  • Can I move my iWeb from mac-mini to my new macbook pro ? iLife 11 does not have iWeb and I really want to use it to update my website on my new macbook Pro instead of Mac mini

Can I move my iWeb from mac-mini to my new macbook pro ? iLife 11 does not have iWeb and I really want to use it to update my website on my new macbook Pro instead of Mac mini

There is no license required for iWeb.  Just do a Wyodor suggested and you'll be ready to go. If you're running Lion however, consider the following:
In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
    tell application "iWeb" to activate
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder.  So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.
