Mac mail not syncing deleted messages with iPad email?

I'm very frustrated with the mail sync between my MacBook and my iPad. My Microsoft Exchange (@student.uml.edu) email for school will NOT sync between my Mac and my iPad.
When I delete mail from from Mac mail, it does not delete on my iPad. This has led me to have 3 read emails in my inbox on my MacBook and 45 emails on my iPad. I can't imagine having to keep track of deleting emails from my laptop then again on my iPad thats just silly.
Am I doing something wrong here? Help!

I have the same problem in the opposite direction - I can delete things on my iPad but they don't delete on my MacBook and Mail won't let me delete them. My problem is also with an educational Exchange account. Other accounts sync without problems.

  • Mac mail not saving sent messages

I am using IMAP for my mac mail (since I work on several computers). I am on OSX 10.4.11 and mail 2.1.2.
The problem: None of my messages are being stored in the sent folder, even though in preferences it is enabled to do so. Also, when I hold my cursor over the sent folder a pop up message appears that reads "content stored on server. Name of server = INBOX/SENT". And yet, there are no messages on the server. I even looked through my control panel on my web host just to make sure.
Not being able to have a copy of sent messages makes mac mail virtually useless - I can't bcc myself on everything! I'm feeling desperate - anyone out there have any suggestions?

click the SENT folder on the server.. then go to MAILBOX > USE THIS MAIL BOX FOR SENT

  • Read Messages in Mail not Syncing with Exchange

    Hi!
I have a user at my company who weren't trying to get switched from Outlook 2011 for Mac to Mac Mail, but we're running into a problem that Mac Mail isn't marking messages as read when he's used his iPhone to view them. We checked using Outlook Web Access (we're on Exchange 2010) and they are marked correctly there, but not in Mail.
Has anyone had any luck fixing this annoyance? We deleted and readded his Exchange account to his Mac, but it just loaded as it did before we deleted it.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!
    -Eric

I'm experiencing the same thing. In our office people lose connection to their exchange accounts from time to time. Sometimes it only affects "sent mails" sometimes it affects everything....

  • Problem with Mac Mail not Deleteing Mail

Mac Mail no longer deletes a message from the host server once it is downloaded even though the option to delete once the mail is downloaded is ticked in the account prefernce area.
Has anyone else come across this problem and have a solution?

Have changed the account preference in Mac mail to "delete message once it is removed from inbox" this deletes the message on the ISP's server.

  • The inbox for Mac Mail lists every incoming message twice. When I delete a message it deleted both entries. I have tried the solution in "help" and it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Itunes 11.1.5 (MacBook Pro,OS 10.6.8) will not sync new apps with iPhone 5 iOS 7.0.6 and gives grayed out "install" no message?  How does one work around this?

Just reboot your laptop... While its rebooting try to reboot your phone also by holding the home and power buttonn for 10-15 seconds...When your phone is turned off try to connect it to iTunes and it will recognize your phone in recovery mode.
If you have the .ipsw file for iOS 7.0.6 saved in your desktop then in itunes press shift and click on Restore.
Select the ipsw file and let it restore.
If you dont have it downloaded then simply click on restore.
    I hope it works
    Cheers !
