Smart mailbox's tagged-serach does not work in Mavericks.
Tagged search such as "from:amazon OR from:yahoo" does not return any result in a smart mailbox. A strange thing is that it still works in the search box on the tool bar, but once the "Save" button is pressed to convert to a smart mailbox, it stops working.

Just re-installed a fresh copy of CS6 Photoshop on my Yosemite Mac Book Pro and somehow the Adobe Application Manager does not work and therefore cannot verify my copy. What should I do?
I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager may be damaged and that I should install a new version of AAM. But after downloading a fresh copy of AAM and doing the install, the program (AAM) still will not install. It is like an infinite loop!

I'm sorry but I am not on Creative Cloud. I'm still on CS6 and it was the Adobe Application Manager that wasn't working and I could not install the update to this application. My AAM version is: 8.0.0160
The link you provided was the update that I wanted to install but it does not work. A window shows up during that install that says:
We've encountered the following issues.
Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
and then the link to the Adobe Support Advisor which leads to a "Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" page.

Most of the default Mac Apps does not work after Mavericks Upgrade

Hi, I did everything, but nothing has brought me out of this misery .
I Updated Maverick just 2 days after its release. Had no problems, other then slow Finder. I restarted my iMac last week, and got caught with these issues, known to me, not sure what all bugs are there.
All these apps does not work: App Store, TextEdit, Preview, Terminal, iBooks, Maps, Calendar, Contacts, Mail, etc
I do not know how to do a clean install, as I had upgraded from Snow Leopord to Mountain Lion and to Maverick using App Store, which does not open at all.
Hoping to get some response soon from Apple support team to help me.

Deskjet D1600 printer is on my Mac, installed it now to Windows 7 it does not work

My deskjet D1600 works perfectly on my Mac OS X laptop. Have now aquired a desktop computer with Windoes 7, hand me down from my son! He is not here and I have installed the printer on the desktop, got the message: You've successfully added HP Deskjet D1600 series. A testpage has been sent to the printer but it does not print it. The printer is connected, did a check on my Mac. ??????????

Tags does not work in Mavericks

I have tagged files in Mavericks and it was working fine untill today on my USB drive. I can see that Spotlight is trying to index my USB drive and this goes on forever. I notice other people are having the same issues. I have heard that disabling and enabling Spotlight fixes it. How do you do that?

Detox My Mac does not work on Maverick OSX 10.9

Upgraded to OSX 10.9 and you'll find out that Detox My Mac no longer works ! Even though it worked on Mountain Lion 10.8 it stopped working on Maverick OSX 10.9. Don't waste your money on bringing in Detox My Mac for 10.9 'cause I paid for another Detox My Mac for OSX 10.9 version and was sadly disappointed, 'cause it too did not work !!!

OS X: Using me.com or mac.com IDs with AIM in iChat requires OS X v10.7.2 or later
If you have an Apple Issued ID being used as an AIM valid Screen Name (which is still possible in Mavericks) then check and change the following.
In Messages > Preferences > Accounts > AIM Account(s) > Server settings.
Whilst Logged out (do so deliberately don't rely on not connecting) change the SSL Setting to ON (if Off) the Port to 443 and the Server name to api.oscar.aol.com if needed.

Mail does not work in Maverick

After upgrading to Maverick, it was all good until I tried to open Mail and recieved teh following message:-
The last time you opened Mail, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?
If I try to reopen as instructed I get into a loop that only ends in frustration.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Has anyone found a solution, or is it a known bug and will be fixed in the near future.
My son did not have this problem when he upgraded and the only difference we can see is that he uses a single screen and I use dual screens.

Found a solution to my problem by reading some other posts, the solution was to key
"defaults delete com.apple.mail"
into "Terminal" and enter.
and I have Mail working.
Now a happy Mac user again!

AE CC 13.0.2 on Mac OSX 10.9.5 - file collecting feature does not work anymore

hi, I am experiencing issues with the file collecting feature out of AE CC 13.0.2 on Mac OSX 10.9.5. I have the same kind of problems on my MacBook Pro Retina 15'' (2014) with 1TB SSD and 16 GB Ram and on my iMac (mid 2011 3,4 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB RAM). I open a project without any problem, then try to collect onto an external hard drive. AE gives me error message, it cannot find a certain file (never the same file, I tried many times). I hand collected a current project onto external HD from my MacBook Pro, went to my imac, opened the hand collected Project from external HD (again no issue while opening) then again tried to perform the collect command. again error message notifying me that a certain file is missing. This is the case with different AE projects!! The After Effects collect files command to me is a very important feature that provides backup safety. with this feature not properly working I feel insecure, I need to fix this asap.

project I have tried.
The assets in the first project that I noticed this happening on (which was
also the first project I opened after upgrading to OSX 10.10.2) include:
- Solid background with a color gradient
- Alpha Track Matte
- Optical Flare
- Particular
- Null object
But this exact same problem occurs with every project I've tried to export,
regardless of what's in the project/comp

Jawbone does not work under Maverick MAC OSX 10.9

The problem did not exists under Tiger or Lion, once the Jawbone Era is connected via USB, one can update Contact list phone numbers,change the language of communication, etc ; in Jawbone Bluetooth land. However Jawbone Era can NO LONGER be accessed under Maverick. So I called MAC customer service, they sent me to Jawbone (Era) customer service headquartered in Tijuana. Jawbone Customer service said "our technical team at Jawbone is working in to it." and it only took 20 minutes and the 37 days Maverick has been available. Jawbone has failed . Jawbone has been disappointing.

Smart folder search with "comments" does not work

I am using Lion (OS 10.7.5), and am unable to define a Smart Folder in which the search criteria is a particular Comment in "Get Info". Nothing appears in the folder. In System Preferences, Spotlight lists under "Search Results" 15 different categories, but "Comments" is not one of them.

I haven't tried this, but the auth part is mainly added to support credentials for OpenSearch result sources. It might work for SP as well, but you have to make sure you have enabled basic auth on the web app. Have you done that?
