I have a Mac Mini Intel core i5 2.5 ghz ,AMD Radeon HD 6630M and 4gb ram
Can I run games like max payne 3 , call of duty mw 3 , black ops 2 , black ops ?

It depends upon the requirements for those games. Go to the developer's site and see what the requirements are.The graphics memory will likely be controlling. The 6630M only has 256 MB of memory.

How can I play Windows games that require CD on mac mini bootcamp?

So have a brandnew optical drive-less mac mini, and have Windows 7 installed as bootcamp partition. Want to play a game on the Windows side but it requires a CD be in the drive to play - which, obviously, I don't have. I tried Carbon Copy Cloner to a USB stick - it worked for the installation but not the game play. Any suggestions how I get an image to mount that the Windows Bootcamp will recognize? Is it possible to mount the CD as a shared disk on my G5 elsewhere on my network or should I just stick to Daemon Tools or MagicISO stuff on Windows. If the latter - how do I get the data from a USB stick mounted as a disk image then (do I need to copy it to the local, then create a disk image and then copy to that image for example?)
I can see this is going to be a problem for all sorts of other things I still have "legacy" I can see so any help on this will carry forward, thanks.

Yeah, I know, but the whole idea of moving away from disks isn't such a bad one - so I'm wondering if I can implement it someway - I have the original copy disks so it's not about pirating them to play games but ripping them the right way so they work... hmmm.

Hi, my mac mini has no optical drive. How am I supposed to retrieve my digital copy of the movie "gamer?" from the itunes store. Its telling me I have to insert my DVD. Well its not physically possible. This is the stupidest error I've ever encountered in 20 years of being an apple user.

I have a computer. It is called a Mac Mini. I don't own any others. I will not buy a Superdrive either because I have no use for it. I contacted Apple iTunes Store support and so far they did not help me. Digital downloads from Best Buy have turned out to be fradulent. They owe me a copy and they should authorize it. My code is valid too. I have the discs right here. I will go nuts if they don't help me and so far they have not.

Just bought my mac mini and set up my apple account. I was trying to pay a game on the game center and after I click on the accept agreement and hit send, it show saving and then it locks up.

just bought my mac mini. loggin into my game center, and after accepting the user agreement, it then saves my options. After trying serveral times, my screen just shows my options are saving and does nothing past this point. even after waiting a very long time.

Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
Or...
Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last problem & the Startup right after that for clues.

Does minecraft or any games run on Mac Mini?

Hello everyone! Well, first of all, I`m spanish so sorry for my english <3 xD. Well, I`m going to buy the newest mac mini on october I suppose and I´d like to know if the mac mini run well Minecraft or some games more like COD4 or something. I supposed that Apple will change the graphics to HD 5000 Graphics...
But, does HD 4000 run minecraft for example? And also I´d like to know if mac mini runs Photoshop or Cinema 4d fast and if mac mini get stress or something that runs mac os x slow...

Mac mini iPhone 6 game controller?

can i use my iPhone 6 as a game controller on my mac mini? such as racing games

I don't think I've done anything. Honestly we don't use the computer too much. I'm wondering if Image Capture 4.0 is an older version and maybe we had a recent update that made the program not work anymore.
If there is a way to use Image Capture, I'm all for that but not sure what to do. I will check out the other program after dinner!

Mac Mini & compatible games with HD4000?

I'm looking at a Mac Mini mainly for work purpuses but would like to know if the following game titles i own are supprted by the HD4000 chipset:
Half Life 2
Duke Nukem Forever
Doom 3
Quake 4
Call Of Duty 2
Old games i know but they all played on my 2009 iMac which has died.
Any help would be great.

If anyones interested, Half Life 2 and Duke Nukenm run fine at high settings, Half Life at highest.

I have a MacMini Late 2011 with 2.3 GHz I5 and 4GB RAM and I use it as media center... It's enough to play FullHD movies but it uses 256 on 512 MB of (shared)RAM... I don't think that you can use a mini for hard gaming...
But AngryBirds Space on a 60" FullHD TV looks great

Mac Minis don't run iOS. It would help to know what Mac OS X version you have, and the Machine ID whether it is PowerMac x,y or Mac Mini x,y and and the x,y values. Please do not give us your serial number as that is the key to your warranty.

New mac mini user needs help with games!!!!

We have a mac mini with osx 10.4.5 we have some older games that are compatible with Mac and say for 7.5 or higher but when we try to play them it says not supported on this system. Can any one help us out?

Mac OS X is completely different from OS 9 and the previous versions of the Mac OS. While OS 9 can run OS 7 apps, OS X will not. However, you can install a copy of OS 9 on your drive, and although you cannot boot directly in OS 9, you can run OS 9 apps from within OS X through an application called Classic. That is, assuming your have a PowerPC Mini, as new Macintels don't support Classic anymore.

Wich Mac mini shall i choose if i want it wont lack when doing normal web browsing... and playing games such as lego star wars not that heavy games but still no lack?

Right now any should work, but to future proof it a bit I'd get the middle one with the Real Graphic card in it, & upgrade to the 2.7 CPU.

Mac Mini and Games

I've already heard all the stuff how its not mean't for gaming, and i have traditionally worked with PC's, and for a PC, integrated video is the bare bones of a graphics card. I am asking your help with a certain few games though, because i read that the UT2004 engine could be played on it making me wonder what the capabilities really are. I play a few games but not enough to make a gaming machine a good option.
My question is, America's Army (UT2004 engine), World of Warcraft (heard works, but confirmation), and the HL-2 engine and doom engine. I have my doubts about the last two, but you never know. reguardless of quality, will they play on lowest settings without choppyness? Really the first three are my biggest concern, i can live without doom. I know the Imac with the x1600 would be a better fit, but im curious to see how much i can get away with, cause the machine primarily needs to do video/graphics/audio/java editing. but with the introduction of bootcamp its becoming more apparent that a mac would be a better fit.
Please be kind, I am a PC user at the moment and am very interested in the mac line-up, i just want my first impression to be a good one.
P.S. you all sound pretty educated on the subject so ill throw this out there as well, what would be the best fit for all these games? the doom engine i run at med-low on my pc comfortably, so something around that, maybe a bit better (currently running amd 2800+, gig ram, 9550 Radeon)

yes i love games, and i do run some "low end" games on my PC and mac mini
used to run these games:
war craft 3 + expansion (reign of chaos)
diablo 2
on my mac mini 1.25 ppc 1gig ram they run "fine" compared to my PC with 2.4ghz 768mb ram 32mb video
*fine in a sense that using external applications it becomes laggy the whole system as compared to pc
recently i play the game dofus, a flash game, in mac 1 window is ok but having more than a window the whole system lags as when i'm playing it in the pc i can even open up to 3 windows without any slow down.
