Mac Mini to Samsung LE37R87BDX 37" VGA to Pc Input - No Display

Question

I have a mac mini 1.66 Intel running 10.4.11, into which I've got the VGA adapter plugged, this is cabled with a VGA cable into my nice new Samsung LE37R8 flat panel LCD on the pc port.
The image flicks up briefly, but then it goes black and it won't display.
Connect the same machine up running windows XP under boot camp and bingo, it works beautifully.
Oh and I've tried a windows pc running xp as well and that displays also, so I'm pretty much convinced there's nothing wrong with the tv or the cable.
I think it must be the Os settings..
The odd thing is that I can remote desktop to the mac mini and it detects the display correctly, as far as I can see, even listing 'Samsung' as the colour profile and the changing the resolution to a supportable (well, as far as I can see from the tv's manual) to 1366x768 at 75hz.
I've tried changing the resolution, 1024x768, 800x600 etc etc, changed the frequency to 60, but to no avail.
Anyone got any ideas?

I am having an identical issue with an intel dual core mac mini and a 50" plasma Samsung TV (PS50Q97HD). I've sucesfully connected my mac to a 17" LCD monitor with the DVI-VGA adapter and I've connected a windows XP laptop to the Samsung TV using a VGA cable.... but I have had no success with the mac to Samsung connection.
