Mac Office - Formula Bar is not visible

I know this one has been doing the rounds but does anyone know how to make the Excel Formula Bar visible! the arrow is ticked on the toolbar but it won't appear

Mac Office 2011 Template Directory Not Visible

In Word, My Templates show up, but in Finder the folder nor the files are visible in Lion. I did not have the problem with Snow Leopard. Is there something I can do to make it vislbe so I can delete one of my templates?

Formula bar does not appear in Numers on iPad

Formula bar does not appear in numbers in iPad 1. Tapping twice only numerical keys appear. Search net and could not find solution. Deleted and then downloaded numbers to no avail. Works fine on iPhone.

when you double tap, you will first see the numerical keys, now look to the left of where the numbers show up, above teh numeric keypad. There are four "buttons". the number 42 is highlighted, this indicates numeric entry. the others are a clock (for date/time entry), the capital Letter T (for text entry) and an equal sign (for formula/equation entry). Tap the appropriate one to get the data entry type you require. If in formulas, you will see the four buttons collapse down to "...". to save space. just tap that button to return to the four.

Menu bar is not visible, but neither is Full Screen mode button. How do I fix this?

While I am in Firefox, it appears that I am in Full Screen mode, as my Menu Bar is missing while in the application, but when I looked up how to troubleshoot, it told me to click on the Full Screen mode button (with diagonal arrows) but it is not visible anywhere in my browser. How else can I get out of Full Screen mode? Thank you!

Computer starts up but HD and Menu bar are not visible?

Recently my Powerbook G4 began to act strangely and either freeze or slow way down for the first time in its four years of use. I have a new IMac to replace it. Here is my current problem:
I'm trying to copy over some files via Firewire. I start my powerbook in target mode. Its icon appears on my new imac and I start to copy over. Midway through copying, I dragged an open window to a different place on the screen of my new computer, and the copy stalled/froze. I couldn't drag the target HD icon to the trash to shut down my powerbook properly, so I held down its power key and it turned off.
Now, when I try to restart the powerbook in target mode, its icon wont appear on my new computer's desktop, though the 'I'm in target mode' screen saver bounces around on my powerbook.
When I try to boot up my Powerbook to shut it down properly on its own, it starts up, but the stuff I have stored on my desktop, including the HD icon, don't appear. Neither does the menu bar, so I can't shut it down that way. The dock appears, as does the photo that I use for my desktop image. I can click on dock applications, and they do the bouncy thing, but they don't open.
Any ideas? Thanks very much to anyone who can help!

And how did Single User Mode work out?
If you can't start it up in SUM or from an installer disc, put it in FW Target Disk mode again and see whether Disk Utility on the host Mac can see it to make repairs. DU may be able to see the drive even if it doesn't appear on the desktop of the host machine.
My guess is that by disconnecting it improperly in FWTDM (not that you had much choice under the circumstances), you well and truly hosed the hard drive.

Mac OS boots but is not visible

Hi,
I have the following problem:
From one moment of the other my screen froze and and I had to restart the MacPro (SnowLeopard). Since then I couldn't get back in the system. The problem is, it stops at the screen with the apple and the loading circle.
At first I thought there is something wrong with the system hard disk, but the "funny" thing is, that although the screen freezes while loading, the system completely loads - but I cannot see it. I only recognized it, because I saw the macpro in the network and I also can plug in my iphone and it starts syncing - but I still only see the apple screen.
btw: I wanted to try the disk tool from the install dvd - but I couldn't load the program. the mac always brings an error while the grey screen + apple and that I have to restart... I tried the same via USB - but it also doesn't work.
when I bring it in target mode - I have access to all hard disks - except the system disk.
Has anyone an idea what I could do?
Could it be something with the graphics?

You should be able to do either or both of these:
• Boot with the Shift key held down. This runs a disk check and then brings up the system in Safe Mode, with minimal extensions loaded.
• Boot from the Installer DVD, but do not install:
Hold down Option as you start up.
Wait for the screen to draw.
Press the Eject key to open the DVD tray.
Insert the Installer DVD and wait for it to be seen.
Select the Installer DVD and proceed.
Answer "what language" and wait for the MenuBar to be drawn.
Choose Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
Select your boot drive and click ( Repair ).

Office 2010 Asset Inventory not visible

We are rolling out Office 2010. The Asset Inventory does not appear to be picking up any of these.
Is the a PRU update including the latest MS Office 2010 products.

Which PRU version are you using? Office 2010 seems to be included in the latest PRU.

My menu bar is not visible until I click on Finder

Can't be sure if this started after 10.6.5, but my menu bar wld sometime not appear (after login) until I click on the Finder. Help!

That piece of weirdness showed up in 10.6.0 and has continued. It happens to me on fairly rare occasions, to my brother somewhat more often. Since a simple click "fixes" it I've never bothered to investigate further or file a bug report. If it really annoys you, you could report it to Apple here:

Actually, it seems to me that it is happening even less often now than it was initially.

Ripped CD in iTunes Mac in "recently added" but NOT visible in "music" or searchable?

Put the CD in. Rip using normal pop up iTunes window. Done -- CD ejects. See new songs / album in "recently added". Do NOT see it in "music"! Can't search it by name of artist or anything. The files are there on disk in my iTunes Music folder -- they got ripped. Recently added sees the files. Why not the rest of iTunes?
Side note: I'm also running Sonos and iTunes Match. BOTH of these see the new artist, album and songs and can play them (for Match on my iPad). Just not the original iTunes doing the ripping in the first place?!
Any ideas about what's going on?

... my Music and Movies subcategories of the LIBRARY category are seemingly empty, while the files I am trying to add are showing up on the Recently Added Playlist.
OK, so the thing that appears to be missing is the library entries, not the files.
As you know, iTunes is designed so that a track can only be in a playlist if it is also in the library. So, you can be sure the songs are in the library.
However, you may have encountered the recent bug where the library does not completely display. Try closing iTunes and restarting it. If that does not help, restart your machine. One guy reported that he had to do this a few times in order to solve the porblem:

Navigation bar not visible in edit mode

Hi,
is there somebody who can help me out of this: in edit mode my navigation bar is not visible, however once the site is uploaded the bar is visible. During edit mode i can only see a big dot which positioned in the navigation bar text box.
I am using the latest version of iweb and OS 10.6.8

That is so unusual. Usually it's the other way around: looks OK in iWeb but not after publication.
Log into another user account on your Mac, launch iWeb, create an new test site and see if the navbar is visible. If it isn't then the application seems to be the culprit and a reinstall of iWeb seems warranted. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iWeb" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder,

Document message bar not visible when participating in Shared Review

Hi,
I have initiated a Shared Review using Acrobat Pro 8
Immediately after I finished sending out the notification to other reviewers, the _Review.pdf version of the document is opened for me and the Document Message bar is visible. Therefore I have the option to check for new comments, publish comments.
My colleagues however, when they open the pdf file attachment from their email notification they get the message: "This document has been sent by a user of Acrobat 8.0 Professional for your review. To participate in this review Acrobat 8.0 standard or professional, or later, is required" Pressing OK on that message box opens up the PDF file to be reviewed however the Document Message bar is not visible (there is no Document Message bar icon on the left pane either.). Therefore my colleagues cannot publish their comments.
I also encountered the same issue. After I close my PDF and re-open it, I cannot see the Document Message bar, eventhough I can still see my Review Tracker and the document still listed there.
So, what did I do wrong? I started the shared review by following the prompts:
1. Comments > Send for Shared Review
2. Enable reviewers with Reader to participate
3. Select a network drive to store the shared comments
4. Select the document to be reviewed
5. I've experiment with all the different send notifications options
6. I specified the email address of the reviewers and sent the invite

Does this happen with one particular document or with all your reviews?

Firefox, most of window is blacked out, menues area is transparent, menus not visible. Website is loading behind blackout. Complete uninstall has been tried.

The problem started after doing a Windows 7 disk cleanup. When I open Firefox the screen where the body of the website is is blacked out and the menu bars are not visible. I can tell Firefox and websites are loading because I can guess where address bar is and type website and when I hover over address bar it will read name of website. Also, when I open a Firefox icon that had been saved to my desktop of a youtube link, the video will play visibly in Firefox, but the rest of the screen will be blacked out.
I have tried a full uninstall and installation [including deletion of registries and all that]. All windows for Firefox, including the one that asks to make it default browser, profile maneger, etc. show up blacked out, so I can't try to make new profiles and all that. I even restored my computer to earlier point. Please help. I'm posting this message from Internet Explorer.

Spry UI (Spry 2.0) Not Visible in IE

I'm still searching and trying to figure out why the new spry menu bar is not visible in IE, but if you anyone can see or knows something that i may have overlooked please let me know. Other than that the menu bar works great in all other browsers including mobile and touch screens. The menubar is still under construction so the only dropdowns are under "software" if anyone is curious about that.

Notice the change in the HTML markup for the menu. Also I did not style the submenu items. If you have a problem with that, return here.
