Mac OS 10.10, CS4: Error 150: 30 "License has stopped working"

I recently did a hard drive restore from Time Machine.  I'm running OS 10.10 (Yosemite) and have worked my way through the recommended solutions to Error 150:30, as per the Adobe support site.  However, none of them specifically point to OS 10.10- most only go as high as OS 10.8.  What can be done to correct the problem within the 10.10 system, without completely re-installing the software?
Thank you

Or try what they suggest here:
150:30
Oh, and make sure everything's updated.
Hope that helps!

You'll need to have a chat with Adobe Support. Here's a link:

  • LIcensing has stopped working DreamWeaver CS4 Mac OS 10.9.4

    Have followed instructions here
Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS
    as much as possible.
Solution 1: I don't have [hard drive]/Library/Preferences/FlexNet Publisher/ on my hard drive so can't delete it.
Solution 2: Have tried to run license repair tool in terminal. I type sudo python then drag LicenseRecoveryLauncher.app across, but get invalid syntax returned.
I haven't gone any further than this.
I did have adobe photoshop cc trial on this machine, which I deleted and wonder whether this has now screwed up Dreamweaver (I don't use it so much these days).
    Any help gratefully received, Tim

    Hi magootim,
Can you try the solutions in this post?

  • Error 150:30 "Licensing has stopped working" ??

Hi - When opening Photoshop CS4 I get the above errormessage. I have downloaded the  LicenseRecovery Launcher, but Mountain Lion Mac OS X Version 10.7.5 does not support PowerPC programmes  - so I am stuck. Please advice what to do. Thanks

The Licensing repair tool is one option but we have additional solutions available in Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-licensing-stopped-mac-os.html.  Please feel free to respond to this thread if you have any questions regarding the steps listed within the document.

  • Licensing has stopped working on CS 4 Error 150:30

How do I fix this error and run my CS 4 again?

The 150:30 error is a common problem which occurs when you recover Photoshop CS4 from a backup or transfer to another computer. The simplest way to clear it up is to re-install CS4. Here is a link to the installers: Download CS4 products
You can use your discs or the downloads from the provided link. Either way, have your serial number ready...
If this fails, I am going to direct you to this thread: I have received the "licensing has stopped working" Error code 150:30. I have done all 8 suggested fixes and have had no luck fixing this mess. Anyone able to help.

  • My Photoshop CS4 has stopped working - Error 148:3 (Licensing has stopped working).....help!

My Photoshop CS4 has stopped working - Error 148:3 (Licensing has stopped working).....help please?
I've not changed anything since the last time I used it but it's just refusing to work.

    Ed,
It seems that there might be some gremlin in the licensing module. The PS CS4 board has several similar instances. I do not know exactly what the problem is, but this should be an easy reset by Adobe. It has worked for the PS users and requires one free telephone call. I am with Harm on this. I doubt that many, if any, users can be of much help. The installation issues *used* to be simple and quick, but I have not had to make that call, since Illustrator 3. Have your S/N handy. If you purchased from the Adobe Store, a receipt # might come in handy too. Once your product has been verified, you'll probably be asked to enter a key, and away you go.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • PSE 13 solves "Error: Licensing has stopped working" on MAC OS X 10.10.2?

After some years using my reliable PS8 I've got this nasty message and I am unable to work since then.
I've been working on solving the "Error: Licensing has stopped working" on MAC OS X 10.10.2 for a while without success.
Does PSE 13 solves the problem? I just want to be sure that if I buy the new version it is going to work or if I am going to lose another US$ 99 on a piece of software that requires more "MAC OS X" expertise than I have.
Any help, clue or piece of advice is welcome.

Thank you, but it is exactly the paper I've been trying to follow.... I can't go through solution 2 because I got an error when using “sudo python “.
After trying for some days I am thinking about buying the newest version (PSE 13), I just want to be sure I am not going to have the same error.... ;-)

    Great!
Now in Terminal at the $ prompt type   sudo python <leave a space after that>  Do not press enter or return yet.
Drag and drop "license recover.py" into the Terminal window, then press enter or return.
You should see this result:    Confirm that you do.

  • Regarding trouble shooting for error code 150:30 (Licensing has stopped working)

I recently migrated to a new iMac, running Yosemite and the first time I tried to launch PhotoShop Elements I got error 105:30
I've tried following the instruction that Adobe provides for the error "Licensing has stopped working" and I cannot find the "FlexNet Publisher" file.
What are my other options. Is there a telephone number I can call for support, as all other efforts have been futile.

Usually a reinstall will fix it. Either from your discs or a downloadable installer.
There also the License Repair tool. If you are familiar with Terminal, I'll help you with it.
Let me know what you want to do.
Also that word "migrate" caught my attention. Moving Photoshop from another Mac or a backup does break licensing. Adobe products must be installed, not moved.

  • "Licensing has stopped working..." CS4 Master Collection

I have recently purchased two copies of Adobe CS4 Master Collection.  The first copy was purchased on June 24th, with the first call to Customer support on June 25th.
The errors are various with 3 during installation on this vista machine and several when starting the applications.  The only application that runs properly is Acrobat.
The others fail at activation screens with either BEX error in amtlib.dll or "Licensing has stopped working...”  I have 3 case numbers assigned to this by tech support.  I have talked to more than a dozen Tier One personnel and two Tier Two personnel.  The CS4 package, at the request of various support people, has been uninstalled/re-installed 5 times.  The various attempted “solutions” are well documented so I won’t post the detail here.  There has been zero progress.  Each support person insists on covering the same ground as the prior calls wasting time and money (mine).  I have been waiting for 7 days for a return call from a Tier 2 support person.
During call two to tech support I was requested to remove all old Adobe software.  So, at the time of this note, I have been 15 days without the new software working and none of my old software working.  One would think that for the price charged for this Master Collection that, (A) The installation/activation process would work and (B) the customer support would be better.
I would certainly appreciate some response from Adobe with a solution to this problem.   One of my case numbers is 181030791.  Look in the case file, get my number, call me.

I have now logged over 9 hours on the phone with ‘support’ (as well as uninstalling and reinstalling my software) and this last genius’s solution………….. ’Set the system clock back to 2008 and run your machine for a day or two like this and I believe that will fix it!’
Can you believe this Mickey Mouse nonsense?
Also, I tell the guy that he as cost me $750 today in lost time, his reply…..’Sir, think how I feel, it takes me a month and a half to make that much’
It would be funny if it wasn’t so infuriating!

  • Licensing has stopped working - Mac

I have had Photoshop Elements for a year and a half, but last week I had to get the harddrive replaced on my MacBook. I just got my computer back 2 days ago and have tried accessing PE for the first time tonight but I have received the "Licensing has stopped working" message with the "Error 150:30" blurb. I've looked at a few other discusions and have tried to find and delete the "FlexNet" folder in the harddrive's library but cannot find it for the life of me. I don't know what to do. Help!

That would be PSE 8. You can try downloading and installing from here:
    http://prodesigntools.com/direct-download-links-for-lightroom-3-and-photoshop-elements-8.h tml
However, two things. First, you must follow the Very Important Instructions exactly, or it won't work. And it may not work anyway, since you have a disc version. I'm not sure that a disc serial number will work with the trial, but you won't be any worse off than you are now if it doesn't.

  • PS8 - Licensing has stopped working os Mac OS X 10.10.2 - couldn't pass "solution 2"

I've tried to follow the "Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS", but I can't go through "Solution 2: Run the Licence Repair tool", since I get  error
    /usr/bin/python: can't find '__main__' module in '/Volumes/LicenseRecovery 11.6.1/LicenseRecovery/LicenseRecover.app'
after using the "sudo python " command.
    I am running OS X 10.10.2

I think others have posted that the update has been temporarily pulled.
