Now when running MP Navigator EX 5.0 Opener or MP Navigator EX 5.0, I get "Cannot start the MP Navigator EX".
Removed all printers software and deleted printer in System prefs.
Reinstalled. No help...
I can print to it from apps (both AirPrint & computer using wifi) and using USB.
Works using Image Cature.
Cannot run the MP Navigator EX 5.0 software.

You need to update iTunes to version 10.7. http://www.apple.com/itunes
You also need to update you profile. It says you have an iPhone 3G with iOS 6.0.1. That is not physically possible.

Canon MP560 - Cannot start the mp navigator ex

I set up my Canon MP560 a few days ago, and for the most part, it's working ok. I'm using the device over my wireless network and set it up on the network w/ Wifi Protected Setup. I installed the print/scan drivers, and I can print wirelessly and scan wirelessly with Image Capture. My end goal is to be able to scan TO my computer (wirelessly) from the printer. Right now, the menu only offers to scan to a computer connected via USB.
I was hoping Canon's MP Navigator software would help, so I installed it. When I tried to start it up, I got the following error: Cannot start the mp navigator ex (See this screenshot: http://grab.by/6xsA)
Looking at an earlier thread about a similar printer, I installed the MP Navigator opener for OS X 10.6. This didn't help either.
Anyone have any ideas?

Figured it out - I need to install "MP560 series MP Driver Ver.1.0 for Network"
MP Navigator works, and I can send scans to my computer FROM the printer, which is what I wanted.
Unfortunately, that install screwed the pooch. MP Navigator seems bloated, and I hate how the Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector sits up in my task bar without a way to quit it. I don't think I scan enough to keep it up there 24/7, so I guess I'll just use it when I need it...

Installed Maverick, updated it and now cannot start up.

Very disappointed, I never thought apple will come out with such OS that has not stable yet. Install maverick last night and already had problem downloading it, but it's alright when I re-download it. This morning when I updated it, it boots up and went to log in page, after typed my password, I just stuck there for 30 minutes, I forced it shut down and restart but won't work, I even went into hardware check and everything seems fine. I start it up again and it say in the loading page for 45 minutes till now. Mine is early 2012 MacBook Pro 13 inches

Hi Go to settings Reset Network Settings After Reset you need to enter your Router wireless key Before you do this turn off your Router for 30 seconds Also an option is to go on Websites for your make of Router look for any Firmware updates but you can do this later. Cheers Brian

Have you tried a reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

Corrected problem by updating Adobe Flash~ even though I just updated it two days ago~ but that solved the problem.

the fact is that someone stole my Mac about 1 and a half years ago! so the day after i realise my mac wasn't in the my house i immediately blocked by find my iphone with the hope to find but i didn't get nothing, then after 1 year i received a message telling my that my Mac was successfully blocked and my mac used to call "Kevin Gr. MacBook air" and the message i got from apple said that "Dou MacBook air" was successfully blocked. that time i realised who was the one who stole my Mac a "friend" :/ he was the only one that i know that uses that nickname for everything! well i didn't did much because i wasn't that sure that he stole it! but one day in a party in his house well not a party but all friends hanging out, they decided to go to the disco so i said that i was very tired and i managed to stay at his home, so when they left the house i decided to search for my thing, and after 30 min of searching i finally found all the things they stole :/ and my mac was there! so I immediately took all my thing and left the house! i called him telling him that i found all my things and ill took them home! he was stunned for a moment and then he said sorry for everything, but all that things he was going to buy! but he knew it was our stolen stuffs and blah blah blah
well now i wanted to open my computer and its locked with the 4 digits code that i put a year ago and i don't remember, there is a way to unlock it? or i just need to reinstall the OS!

and learn how to reset your password. If you still cannot get in it's time to take it into your local Apple Store or AASP.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Download and install the OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Combo Update.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Actually, this is a friend's camera, but yes, I went to the menu and when I got to the digital zoom option, it is greyed out (not accessible). That is the problem. I shoot in the EOS line so figured maybe there was a custom function somewhere that was causing the problem, but Power shot line apparentley doesn't have custom functions. Thought maybe digital zoom is only availabel in certain modes (pernaps not available in "green square"), but changing mode didn't seem to make it accessible either. I am just not familiar with the powershot cameras so ... any other suggestions?

From the lock screen, to access the camera you touch the camera icon and slide in an upward motion. It no longer takes a tap to get it to open.
