Mac Os 10.4.11 and firefox

MacOsX 10.4.11 my latest version. Guess I will not be able to use firefox as my other software will not go with 10.5 and above. Can not stop the firefox popup from constantly asking me to upgrade.
I like firefox, any other solutions?

I have Mac running 10.4.11 and Firefox 3.6.25, and FF keeps telling me to upgrade to the latest compatible upgrade, but I can find no evidence on their site that something better exists.

Mac OS 10.4 is the limit for my old Mac. I get the message that I should upgrade to a newer version of Firefox than 3.6.25, but the "tell me more" and other links it presents me offer no hint of that newer compatible version.

I'm running Mac OS 10.3.9 and Firefox 2.0.0.20. This morning, Firefox started crashing on openingand has been doing so since then. Can anyone knowledgeable about older Mac OS troubleshoot this?

I too am having a similar problem, I run on Mac OX 10.3.9 using Firefox 2.0.0.20, but when I open up I am told to up date as I am now insecure. When trying to you date kept being told "currupt image". now where on this site seems to answer this problem.

As of Firefox 4.0 and newer one needs both OSX 10.5+ and a Intel Mac.
The last version to work on a Intel Mac using OSX 10.4.* is Firefox 3.6.*

With Mac OS 10.6.8 and Firefox 7.0.1, firefox is not remembering passwords nor is firefox asking to remember passswords?

Firefox does remember passwords for some sites but not others. Some of the others have been previously remembered but with different user names and passwords.
The problem started with changes in the user name and password, or with changes in the login URL.

Thanks for your second reply. The problem is apparently in the Firefox software, since it occurs with all Mac users even though their personal information is different. In other words, the problem follows the website.
I have been unable to find a systematic way to duplicate the problem. It initially occurred while I was changing user names and passwords. I didn't want to update some of the changes in the "saved passwords". My recollection is that I ignored the "Remember password" prompt. URL's were changed. The "Remember password" prompt no longer appeared, and did not reappear when returning the the web sign-in page.
For those web pages, there is no "Remember password" prompt. However, those pages are not included as exceptions to the "Remember passwords for sites" exceptions. Similarly, the sites do not appear in the saved passwords.
I have read the recommended reading; none seem to apply. For one of the sites, I was able to produce a pull down list for user name. However, the Shift + Delete action produced no change.

Dropcam has stopped working on Mac OS 10.7.5 and Firefox 25 - Blank camera screen.

No image shows in the image window for dropcam. Only thing that shows is the camera name in the window title area, above the image window.

I have a mac osX, HP 550 printer and Firefox 3.6.18 Pages are printing blank from firefox internet, I don't have this problem with Safari or my other applications. It has been working fine for years.

When I press print I get a blank page, only from web pages using Firefox. I checked print-preview and the page is blank. So I know something is not being recognized. Thank you.

5) Paper size: letter
6) Change to Paper size: A6
7) OK
8) Repeat step 4 again
9) Change back again Paper size: letter
10) OK
11) Don't print, but go back to Print Preview again and see if it works

How can I stop Firefox from telling me "Plugins not up to date"? I have all latest plugins that run under PPC 10.4 and Firefox 3.6.28

Problem: a yellow message saying "Plugins are not up to date" (translated from German) keeps coming up filling the very first line of every webpage. This is ok for every page, but in GMX (my email online account provider) they load advertisings at the bottom of the page (allthough I have the Firefox Add-Blocker installed and activated) and everytime the advertising is loaded new, the yellow message come again. That disturbs me writing an email, because the letters stop appearing on the page and I have to wait.

PLEASE HELP. Cannot open a PDF document via a link in an email. I am using Mac 10.7.5 and Firefox.

If I receive a PDF document attached to an email by way of an icon, I can double click on the PDF icon and the document opens. HOWEVER, if I receive a link to a PDF document in an email, and I click on the link which leads me to a webpage with another link to a PDF document, when I click on the document, a new web page opens but NOTHING happens - no download box - just nothing.

Yes, I can right click and 'Save As' - but I don't want to. I want it to open as it used to open - displaying the open PDF document in a new web page.
Then I tried to click on a download button on a website to retrieve my statement - but again, a new web page would open but it would be BLANK. No sign of any download.
When I used to open PDFs on a webpage, I used to get the Download box which asked if I want to OPEN or SAVE. This doesn't appear any more.

It turns out that the problem had to do with network accounts, even though it was not clear at first. Redirecting the program to the local machine's cache with a network home redirector script fixed the issue. Thanks anyway.
