Mac OS 10.5.6 & Cynical Peak Rivet 2.0 not working

I have been trying to get Cynical peak Rivet 2.0 to work on my Imac but the icon never turns black indicating it is working properly. After some searching the only thing i can see it this message form the console: 2/13/09 3:29:10 PM [0x0-0x15015].com.cynicalpeak.Rivet[167] error: Undefined error: 0 . What does this mean, I believe this is a reason of why this app isn't functioning. i put the app on my black Macbook and it did just fine. Please help. I'm at odds with this issue.

About this Mac tells me its 10.5.6, I have the disks for 10.4.6 Tiger. The drivers are not on this disk.
We installed a clean OS with the 10.4.6 disk and when it finished updating itself it was 10.5.6 with a shiny new version of Bootcamp 2.0. I remember the sales man saying this would happen when we bought it way back because Leopard was just on its way out.
We don't have Leopard disks but we have 10.5.6 and Bootcamp 2.0 (all legit I promise you) I need to know if I am missing something here, should I be able to get them from somewhere on the system itself?
Because I don't have the Leopard Disk (never did) and I would really like to be able to dual boot windows.
Its a pain in the arse that Apple don't just have support for the drivers that you can just download instead of being all "They're on the disk!"
It vexes me somewhat.

When I got it back, it goes straight to the main open screen without requiring a password. Thats fine, except I am trying to reload Office for Mac and I need a password to get it to load. My old passwords will not work anymore, obviously. How do I load Office then?

But, frankly, I don't think that simply reinstalling the old Safari will work because of all the peripheral, under the hood changes that happen when you upgrade from one version of Safari to another. Reinstalling 5.1.10 may be insufficient to turn back the clock. (This is the moment where a Time Machine or another form of full backup would save your bacon.)
While you're getting a copy of Safari 5.1.10, get a copy of Firefox (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/desktop/), too, so that you have an alternate browser to use as you're sorting matters.

So you launch Safari and what? Provide a link to the google site that's not working for you. Update to the latest version of Flash Player. Make sure it's on in System Preferences>Flash Player.

to be clear, the window i am using at the time scrolls, and i cannot stop it, whether it be firefox, chrome, or safari, etc etc. i used to be able to stop it by changing my batteries on my mouse, and/or keyboard, but that doesnt stop it now. then i restarted, and then shutdown and restarted and sometimes works...20% of the time...turning off the mouse and back on sometimes worked as well, but it returns to the scrolling down, and i cannot back to the top of the screen as it just tries and tries to scroll down.....unable to type and use the mouse, of course, as well.

Mac OS X Server 10.6.7 update - Time Machine not working and other trouble.

I've upgraded my mid 2010 mac mini server to 10.6.7 with server Combo download.
After installation (without any errors) i've detected this troubleshooting.
Time Machine (backup hd is the 2nd 500GB Hd of mini server) dont work more and
display error message that suggest to verify hard disks (done with no errors detection).
Mac Help display white page.
And if try to install Server Admin Tools, installation utility not recognize system HD and cannot be done.
The mac mini server seems however works and services seems works rights. Can be rebooted without problems.
I've tried to backup the system disk on the second hd with Carbon Copy Cloner without problem and it recognize system disk well.
I've upgraded also two others mac minis (mid 2010) with standard 10.6.7 version (no server) and a macbook and a macbook pro without problems (but i've not tried time machine on them).

I know the problems with Time Machine on Mac OS server. In your case: Look at the log files, searching for "backupd", if that tells you anything.
In my case, Time Machine in the last year stopped several times. Occasionally, there was a helpful message in the log files where I could identify a file where it had hung -- typically intermediate build results of Xcode. After excluding or deleting the offending files (where possible), Time Machine ran successfully.
Another situation which has repeatedly occurred is that time machine just hangs and does not progress, and no log entry helps. In 3 such cases what helped was to delete the spotlight index (e.g., with TinkerTool System) and let it rebuild. It took inordinately long (10 hrs) and there were log entries by mdworker that it had difficulty processing files. But when the spotlight index was finally rebuilt, Time Machine worked again.
BTW: I don't need Time Machine to backup the server system, for that I run mirrors etc., but for user files it is most convenient and has helped several times. Thus I have excluded nearly everything but /User/*.

Hi I keep getting this problem..
I cannot log off, restart, or shutdown randomly. I am using Leopard v10.5.7, with all other updates. Also I cannot get dashboard or spotlight to start off the keyboad shorcuts.
I have to hold the power butt=on for more than 10secs to shut it down, which I do not like doing.
I have repaired permission, stopping apps staring automatically on log in. removed all cables to reset SMC etc etc.
It doesnt happen all the time, but sometimes it does. Reason I have to close my Mac down is my wife and kids use Boot Camp with Win XP on.
This is now starting to annoy me, can someone please help, I've had my Mac 18months now, 1st one ever, so am still learning, especially when things go wrong or dont work, as I didn't expect this on a Mac!!

Try booting from your install disk and checking the hard drive for errors.
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger and later) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
*(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)*
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window where you see Capacity and Available. Make sure there is always 15% free disk space. Not enough disk space can cause directory corruption.
If you cannot boot from your install disk, try booting in Safe Mode

Mac OS apps won't go fullscreen and notification center not working

I'm on Mac OS 10.8.2, and lately my apps simply won't go full screen (e,g, safari or any other app that uses native OS X full screen), and now i've just realized that notification center doesn't show either (neither if a click on the top right button nor swipe with two fingers), although notifications keep poping up.
Does anyone have any idea what could be happening?

i just found a work around using a combo of threads. i got it
working on a new empty file and on my current working file.
make a 3 frame movie.
don't put anything in the first two frames except this
actionscripting:
in frame 1, put fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
in frame 2, put fscommand("fullscreen", "false");
in frame 3, put fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
and then continue on w/ the rest of your actionscripting in
this frame and on...
placing the three toggling fscommands all in the same frame
did not seem to provide enough time for flash to react.
i realize this is ugly w/ the flashing notfull/fullscreen. i
hate writing code and building files like this... but it does work.
the flashing doesn't really show up on a PC either, which is nice.

Mac Air Mid 2013 w Yosemite 10.10.1 Handoff not working with iPhone 5s with iOS 8.1.1

I've got a Macbook Air Mid 2013 with Yosemite 10.10.1 and can't get the 2 devices to stay paired via Bluetooth.
The 2 devices try to pair and after 2-3 sec's they disconnect.
Both are on the same wireless network and handoff is toggled on.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this handoff working?

On my Macbook Pro you have to hold the power button down a moment till a little window pops up and asks what you would like to do. Also you can go to:
(  ) Menu > Shut down ...
to shutdown your Mac. Or are you saying that these options do not work?

Back up all your files, on boot up when you first press the power button, press CMd and r and keep pressing until you get something apart from a apple logo. Then click reinstall Mac OS X or something like that. You may be prompted to insert your disk.
