  • Can't print "disk error" Photoshop CS5 MacBook Pro 10.6.4

Well I used to be able to print from photoshop, and now I can't, any time I send anything to print it just says Could not print "img123" because of a disk error. No more information is available, completely flustered with Adobe's support available, seems like a maze that keeps sending me back to the beginning, no way to talk to a person on the weekend, and no way to just send an email asking for support... can't find anything in the online help or forums...
    Please Help!!
    -Katie

I had the same problem with all of you but cannot solve it with above solutions.  I am using OSX 10.6 and CS5. I finally solved it by following below few sample steps from here:
    http://forums.macnn.com/t/445004/photoshop-cs5-no-longer-prints-after-upgrading-to-lion
    The solution is:
Re-create the Photoshop CS5 preferences file:
    Quit Photoshop CS5.
    Rename the Users\\[username]\\Library\\Preferences\\Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings\\Adobe Photoshop CS5 Prefs.psp folder to Adobe Photoshop CS5 Prefs.old.
Start Photoshop CS5. Photoshop creates a new Adobe Photoshop CS5 Prefs.psp file.
Its work and now I can print all of my file.  Hope this method can help you too.

  • Keep getting "Can't Locate Disk" error message when installing software

    Hi!
I'm trying to install some software on my PowerBook G4 . . . every time I follow this routine:
    1) I insert the installation disk of the software.
    2) Classic 9 starts up - I then get the folder on the disk with then install icon.
    3) I toggle through 3 or 4 screens, agreeing to licenses, etc. - then . . .
    4) When I click on the "OK TO INSTALL" button an error message appears and stops my progress - it reads, "Can't locate disk" - duh! We've been working off this disk for 5 minutes - the disk shows up on the desktop - I can locate the disk - why can't my computer? Please help me if you are able - thanks!

Thanks Bob! My problem was that I was following advice from elsewhere on the internet that said I should burn a DVD in UDF format when in fact just burning it using disk utility in ISO made it work. Thank you so much!

  • Can't print, message error : grafport

Since I have crash the os 10.3.9 on my PB Lombard, I can't print in X but perfectly in os 9, I can use pdf saving too in X. I experiment two error messages
    1. ¨error during printing¨, with few software, like safari
    2. ¨Couldn't print the document. There was a problem allocating grafport.¨ with Eudora, email software. Also, the os 9 classic don't open since the crash. I try all kind of clean up, I erase the printer, I reinstall again...
Can I try to reinstall 10.3.9 update ?
    Regards,
    Jean

Try the 10.3.9 Combination updater (download only).
If that doesn't fix it, I recommend you reinstall OS
X using the Archive & Install option in the installer.
I try the 10.3.9 update, at the end og the installation, the software stop and told me there are some errors. It'i my download update or my os on the PB ?

  • Before you can perform printer related error

Okay - Well to say I am a little pissed right now would be an understatement. I was doing some edits in PSE10 and then wanted to print the results - Now I am getting the error message as stated above. I have 2 printers installed and have been able to print to both of them with no problem until 2 hours ago. if I select my black and white printer as default, I can print from PSE10 with no issue. If I select my Dell 2150 color laser, I get this
message. I have uninstalled PSE and still get the same message. Can someone PLEASE tell me why this is happening and how do I fix it.
SP I also deleted the setting files - No Luck.

If Photoshop Elements works with one printer but not the other, why would you reinstall Photoshop Elements? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver for the Dell 2150 (make sure you download the latest version of the driver when you reinstall).

  • P1005 can't print, no errors.

    The printer:
A HP P1005, directly connected to the iMac via USB (no hub). This worked up until a couple weeks ago. Printer is visible in System Profiler.
    Symptoms:
Printer is "ready". Then printer is "in use" and "printing." Nothing ever comes out. Job eventually just disappears, still without error.
    What I've tried:
    - Deleting printer. System sees printer.
    - Reset print system. System sees printer.
    - Deleted entire contents of /Library/Printers. System sees printer and reinstalls driver via Software Update.

  • Upgraded to Yosemite and now can't print wirelessly

Upgraded my 1yr old Mac Pro to Yosemite and now can't print wirelessly to my Epson XP-405 through my wireless home hub! I've tried re-installing new printer drivers etc, throwing away preferences etc... these sometimes work for a single print then goes back to "Printer can't be found". My older iMac doesn't seem to have this problem (yet - fingers crossed!) and prints ok on exactly the same wireless network.
    Any suggestions gratefully received.

If you haven't done so already, try resetting the printing system.

    Hi,
Please follow the steps below in order to automatically print two-sided print jobs:
    1. Verify the duplex-printing accessory has been installed properly. To verify this open the System Preferences and go to Print & Fax. Open the print queue of your printer. Click on Printer Setup and from the tab menu choose Driver. Verify the box next to HP Two-sided Printing Accessory (Duplexer) is checked.
    2. On the File menu, select Print. The Print window appears.
NOTE: The Print window might be minimized. Click Show details to see all available settings.
Note: If you use Adobe Reader, click teh button to launc the system print dialog.
    3. In the expanded Print window you will find next to Copies the checkbox for Two-Sided. Check the box.
NOTE: If the checkbox does not appear within the specific application print dialog, skip this step.
    4. To select the binding type click the lowest selection box listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.
    5. Select Layout from the drop-down menu.
    6. Set the Two-Sided option as Long-Edge binding (Portrait), or Long-Edge binding (landscape).
You may save the settings for future use by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset... Any used preset will remain default till another preset will be used.

  • Can't print a PDF on 11x17 paper

I am using Acrobat 10.1.9 on a mac OS 10.8.5 and can not print a PDF on 11x17 paper.  Even if I change the default paper size to 11x17 in my system prefrerences, it doesn't recognize the default setting, and prints on 8.5x11 paper no matter what.  I have read numerous forums on the internet about people experiencing this problem, and they all say it started happening when Acrobat upgraded the version.  However, I know that it is NOT the issue, because I am also using Acrobat 10.1.9 on a different mac that has a different OS 10.9.1, and I can successfully, and easily, change paper sizes when printing from that mac.  Any advice?

    Hi Ajlan,
To fix my problem, i uninstalled adobe reader X with "Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool", rebooted the server, installed Adobe Reader XI and rebooted again.
For some users, this fix the problem but with some others i had to define Adobe Reader by default again.
I tried without use "Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool" before and adobe reader X wasn't really uninstall.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Sullyly

  • Can't print on shared printer, Alert says "On Hold (authentication required)"

Mac Mini running 10.6.8 can't print using Mac Air running 10.8.5 with HP Laserjet 1022 USB connected.  Both computers on same airport network.  Both with latest updates and shared printer enabled.  Same problem in other direction (Air to mini if printer connected to mini).
This worked fine a few days ago.  Whats changed?  Anybody?

This might help... I recently upgraded to OS X 10.9.1 and had the same frustrations with "paused for authentication problems.  Luckly I just discovered that with the print sharing on in the computer that that has the direct connection with the printer being shared on the network and in this below screenshot, with certain persons selected, even an administrator, it puts a "no access" on the everyone option.  In this status I get the "paused for authentication" on the print jobs being submitted from any networked computer.  see below
I am taking it that the authentication the neworked computers are looking for is from the computer that is diretly connected to the printer and is sharing that printer to other users.
I've learned when you click the up and down arrow to the right of everyone you get either "no access" or "can print" option.
When the "can print" option is selected all the individual persons added gets droped, but at least now I can do a network print jobs from the other network connected computers and not get the "paused for authenication" problem.  Hope this helps anyone with "paused for authent" problems ET

  • How can I print BOTH legal and letter on my duel tray printer????

How can I print BOTH legal and letter on my duel tray printer from my mac? on a pc you can choose "print according to pdf size" and the mixed document will print in both legal and letter auto-selecting the printer tray.

    Hello CKAY,
My old printer does not show 8x10 either.
In the printing preferences under the Paper/Quality tab, do you see a "Custom" option or button? There should be one in there somewhere in your preferences.
Click on that and create a custom size of 8 in for the width and 10 in for the length. Be sure to "Name" it 8x10 Photo and click ok.
Now give it whatever attributes you want under the other tabs and click Apply and OK (or just OK).
Close out the printer and open it again and the new size you created should show in the list.

my cd/dvd drive isn't working and i want to upgrade my mac os x10.5.8, how can i upgrade without the software CD

I think not.   You will need to order a disc from Apple quoting your serial number, as many of these discs are machine specific.   So unless you can get your drive working I think you will have to take a trip to an Apple store.
Indeed, you have an old computer that may not be worth the cost of repair ... but it is still worth seeking Apple advice and a visual inspection.   It just might be something not too drastic.

if I update the Airport to the latest version, and "control" it with my MacBook Pro, will the older G4 still be able to use the signal from the new Airport?
Yes. Your G4 shouldn't have any difficulty connecting to a Wi-Fi network provided by the latest 802.11ac AirPorts as they support the earlier radio modes that the G4 uses.

hi . I had the simalar  problems of my HP b209a-m printer not being seen on my wireless network> I found this post on HP Discussion Board and it worked!
    1. On the printer navigate to the Wireless or Network menu.
    2. Select Restore Defaults.
    3. On your computer look for a wireless network named 'hpsetup' and connect to it.
    4. Print a Wireless Network Test from the front of the printer to see its IP address. (on my b209a-m Printer the IP info was found by pressing the Wireless Icon)
    5. Type the IP address into the address bar of a web browser to see the printer's internal settings.
    6. Click on the Network tab and look for the Wireless Setup Wizard and run it.
    7. The Passphrase is the password you use on your wireless connection.
    8. Now change the network name on your computer back to your wireless network.
The printer will now be connected to your network.  Connect the computer back to the network and re-add the printer from System Preferences.
Hope this works--- it did for me.
