Mac os x 10.3.. try to install mozilla fire 3.6 says corrupt
hi guys! can somebody pls help me with this. im trying to install mozilla firefox 3.6.9 on my ibook g3 500 mac osx 10.3.9. my download of the installer is i guess succesful enough but when i try to install it, it says "the following disk image failed to mount / mozilla firefox 3.6.9 corrupt image". do you guys know whats the meaning of this? thanks!
what i've read is "mac os x 10.4 and later" -> http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/system-requirements.html do they mean, later from this day or later from that os version?.
anyways, lets cut it! i already have mozilla 2.0.0.14, i just though i could have an updated one!

No; but then, I've not had occasion to use TDM. I've been using firerwire drives for over 10 years, both FW400 and FW800, with no issues except a bit of instability using a B&W G3 machine.
TDM should be safe. Using cautious, manual copying of files from the Target machine to the Host machine should not result in unexpected loss of files or damage to the Target drive's directories. It should behave exactly the same as if it were an external (to the Host) firewire drive.
• I don't suppose there is anything I can do to 'put back' lost items from a separate Time Machine drive which has an up to date backup on it.
There is probably a way to do that - seems to me that's one of the reasons for a Time Machine volume.
On the other hand, if the Time Machine volume is rigidly linked to the now-absent OS on the original drive, there may be no way to effectively access the files in the TM archive.
I know that using a cloned drive would work well in this instance.
I have no experience with Time Machine, so perhaps someone who has will chime in with suggestions.
With the machine in TDM with the other machine, have you tried running Disk Utility to see if you can effect repairs to the drive? -
When I try to install ios lion the installer says my hard drive has SMART errors and that I need to buy a new Hard Drive, but my computer witch has snowleprd and runs just fine.
SMART is a technology that monitors the drive for signs of impending failure. You can verify that SMART is indicating a problem in Disk Utility. Select the hard drive and look at the bottom of the window. It should look like this:
If the SMART status is not "Verified" then you should back up your drive and start shopping for a new one. -
I downloaded itunes but when i try to install i get an error saying "There is a problem with the windows install. A programe needed to install could not be open"

Okay ... try downloading and saving a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe to your PC from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now download a trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.php
Open the iTunesSetup.exe with WinRAR, and try to run the standalone install of Apple Application Support from the AppleApplicationSupport.msi you find in there.
It works now BUT there are still problems. It is not allowing or recognizing my Cd/DVD player and i CANT burn. Looking still for this fix. -

Are you getting " buy " on Creative Cloud App?
If yes then sign out from Creative Cloud App and sign back

I have ITunes installed on my PC which runs Windows Vista in support of my IPad. When I try to install the update for ITunes 10.7 version, it says it can't find the "itunes64.msi" file. How do I correct this, or where can I find a download for the itunes64.msi file?
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. Everytime I try to install Windows 7 it doesn't let me. All it does is say to remove the disk and restart but I do that and it says no bootable data. What do I do?
Um... I can't uninstall the current Firefox. It shows the same error it does trying to install newer/run FF! I've uploaded a picture of the error.

The installer for iTunes free download says when installing "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail." I have been to the help page and run Disk Utility (not sure if that's worked or not) and it still comes up with this. Please help me get iTunes back up and running. Thanks
Go to HD>Library>Receipts - remove the iTunesX.pkg receipt. Drag the iTunes app to the trash.
Repair permissions with Disk Utility - reboot - then try to run the installer.

Same problem. Mac OS 10.8. I was having problem seeing video preview window, so I unistalled my first version that installed a couple years ago. I ran the support advisor application - and it found now issues. Hope there is a simple answer. Thanks.

1. Download a copy of the latest firefox from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
2. '''''Trash''''' the current Firefox application to do a clean install.
3. Install the version that you have downloaded.
Do not select to remove your personal data, your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data.

I purchased iPad 3. While trying install application,it says it is not available in Kuwaiti store. I entered my credit card details to complete the configuration . What is the issue.
Even free apps have limits on where they can be downloaded. Either the app maker does not want to release it in Kuwait or (more likely) he/she does not have the rights or permits to release it in Kuwait.
