MAC OS X 10.4.11. I can't print out pdfs anymore?

I have a MAC OS X 10.4.11. Where can I find the Adobe Reader for this version. I can't print out pdfs anymore?

Adobe doesn’t have these available online through the Adobe website. You need to try the ftp site. fftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/mac/
Alas, I do not remember which version supports 10.4.11.

  • I'm a Mac user and can't print a PDF anymore

Just like others have asked in this forum, I also cannot print a PDF document any longer.  I select my documents but somehow Adobe Reader cannot see it and I get two error pop ups.  One saying "The document could not be printed." and the other says "There were no pages selected to print."  I have checked forum after forum about unchecking security boxes and changing "View document in PDF/A mode" to 'Never' but nothing helps.
I run OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and Adobe Reader XI 11.0.10
Really hope someone can help or that the people at Adobe are listening.  I really need to print out my latest car insurance documents and a police officer is not going to listen to my Adobe Reader troubleshooting excuse.

Try Adobe Reader Preferences | Documents: change 'View documents in PDF/A mode' to Never.

  • Help! I can't print-to-PDF anymore

My ability to print-to-PDF has suddenly stopped. I cannot print-to-PDF with Firefox, Safari, MS Word, Preview or TextEdit. When I try with TextEdit and Preview, I get a message saying "Error while printing." I am still able to print a PDF on my printer. I am using OSX 4.11.

I am trying to work up the nerve to reinstall the operating system. I am going to buy another external hard drive so that I can backup everything one more time before I do the Archive and Install, so I won't be doing it until next week at the earliest.
Great idea, if you need advice on that feel free to ask!
Am I correct in thinking that Acrobat doesn't use the OS X PDF engine and thus is not affected by the apparent corruption of that engine that is causing problems with all my other software?
    I think you got it!
Do you think that will add a complication to the Archive and Install process? Will that add more stress to the process because of the disk space?
Negligible, OS9 doesn't even take up as much space as the last Keyboard update did in OSX!
As long as you have a bootable Clone on the external, and 10 GB+ on the Internal, you'll be in good shape!
I really appreciate your taking the time to point me in the proper direction to get this issue resolved.
Thank you, warms the heart to hear that!

  • Can't print to PDF anymore...

So my windows XP machine at work had a spooler error so I had to fix it. In the process of which, all my printers were cleared. I got all my printers back but can't figure out how to reinstall my PDF printer. When I try to install it, it says I need the aduigp.dll file from the disc. I don't have the disc. What do I do?

You need to have the disk or the download (that you should save to disk) to repair or reinstall Acrobat. Without that, you might be able to do a repair. Did you just lose the disk or what. If you registered after the installation, Adobe may talk to you about getting a copy, but I won't guaranttee it. Otherwise you are probably up a creek. Sorry.

  • Can't print a PDF on 11x17 paper

I am using Acrobat 10.1.9 on a mac OS 10.8.5 and can not print a PDF on 11x17 paper.  Even if I change the default paper size to 11x17 in my system prefrerences, it doesn't recognize the default setting, and prints on 8.5x11 paper no matter what.  I have read numerous forums on the internet about people experiencing this problem, and they all say it started happening when Acrobat upgraded the version.  However, I know that it is NOT the issue, because I am also using Acrobat 10.1.9 on a different mac that has a different OS 10.9.1, and I can successfully, and easily, change paper sizes when printing from that mac.  Any advice?

    Hi Ajlan,
To fix my problem, i uninstalled adobe reader X with "Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool", rebooted the server, installed Adobe Reader XI and rebooted again.
For some users, this fix the problem but with some others i had to define Adobe Reader by default again.
I tried without use "Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool" before and adobe reader X wasn't really uninstall.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Sullyly

  • Can't Print to PDF

I don't understand why I can't print to pdf from any Adobe project, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Reader, etc.

I'm sorry, I didn't clarify in my original post that I was on a Mac. Thank you for your suggestion CF McBlob, but from InDesign, Acrobat Pro and Reader, I tried to print to pdf (which all 3 of them display the option to do so), but a message appears saying that printing to pdf isn't supported in print dialog. I don't have any issues with exporting and saving as a pdf.
I needed to print to booklet as a pdf with the pages in correct page imposition. The file needed to be emailed to other stakeholders within the company to print as they needed.
Adobe used support printing to pdf on Macs:
    http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/feature-details/acrobatpro/p dfs/creating-pdf-files-using-the-print-command-mac.pdf
Upon talking with support, I learned that Adobe no longer supports the print of pdf driver for the Mac. They discontinued the driver a couple of years back. This is because Apple's Preview popularity. However, I still needed the booklet option for print to pdf which Preview doesn't have.
Create Booklet solves this problem. You can open your pdf in Preview and select Create Booklet from the PDF dropdown list.

Hope this helps those struggling with the same issue as I did.

  • Can't print a pdf file

I have a all in one HP 6700 printer and I can't print a pdf file

    Hi there wallyo,
I'm happy to help but need a little more information to go on. Please provides answers to the following:
Are you printing from Acrobat or Reader
    Mac OS or Windows?
Is it just one file that you can't print, or any PDF?
Are you printing locally or over a network?
Do you get any sort of error message?
Are you able to print from other applications?
Let's start there, and we'll dig deeper if we have to. I look forward to hearing back from you.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Can't print to pdf since I installed Snow Leopard.

I make newspaper ads all the time in Illustrator CS4 on a Mac.
I always print them to pdf files. Never had any trouble doing this.
However, since I installed Snow Leopard I can not print to pdfs.
I go through the usual motions and then... just nothing happens.
Are there known issues with AI CS4 and Snow Leopard?

I was having the same problem. Basically, you now have to "save as" then "to PDF" to get the same results. Although this new method give you more choices in terms of output, i.e. saving layers, image resolution, it has also produced larger PDF files. I will then have to open the document in Acrobat and "reduce file size". I do wish they would bring back the print to PDF option. Go to the link below to read more. If you figure out how to produce the same results and get the small files sizes back please share.

  • Why can't I open PDFs anymore and Adobe Reader won't install.

Why can't I open PDFs anymore and Adobe Reader won't install? This happens only in Safari. I have tried changing my security preferences but it doesn't help.

    missyzz,
which version of OS X is installed on your Mac, and which version of Adobe Reader do you have installed? Did you ensure that all of your browsers were not running when you’d installed Adobe Reader?
To use Preview to open PDFs, download the PDFs to your Mac, and then use Preview to open the PDFs locally. Since you can open PDFs in Firefox, it sounds like you don’t need the Preview workaround.

  • How can I print out the contents of my hardrive

I have a hardrive with about 200 video clips and need to print the titles for cross refrerencing. I was just going to "grab" screenshots but this will take about ten sheets of paper. How can I print out a list of all the files on the drive?

I tried this Finder drag method & discovered that it is very important to set the blank TextEdit document to plain text before the drag (from the format menu or with Cmd-shift-t). If you don't, TextEdit attempts to load the content of the files!
Once I discovered this, I tried the method with Find (Cmd-F) results & it works for that, too. This means that by choosing the right combination of search location(s) & search criteria, you can extend the method to filter the list to just about any files you want, which could be very handy.
For instance, set the "Kind" criteria to "QuickTime Movie" & location to "Computer" & you get a list of every QT movie. Or set the search location to the folder containing the movies of interest & you get all of them, including ones in subfolders. You could also use the 'date created' or other search criteria to filter the list to a specific subset of movies (or whatever).
If you need to do this often, you could create one or more 'Smart Folders' with the criteria preloaded for each search.
The only drawback I see for either Finder based method is the full path one. If you are getting results from just one or a few folders, Find & Replace can delete any of the path name fairly easily, but it becomes a chore if there are a lot of different ones. Some other text editor, like TexEdit Pro, that supports grep searches would be handy here, but since I'm not up to speed on grep, someone else will have to explain how to use it for this, if they want.
