What Mac are you running iTunes on? iTunes 7 is no longer supported. iTunes 8 is the latest version that will run on a G3 but that too won't access the Store. If it's later than a G3 you can get iTunes 9 to run in 10.4.11 and you can access the Store.

After updating to the latest version of itunes (10.5.1) I can't access the itunes store nor will it allow me to update my iPad. The store is just blank. Ran diagnostics and all passed. I've never had an issue at all with my itunes. Also after updating I tried updating my iPad 2 to ios5 and it froze during the backup. Any thoughts? Uninstall/reinstall?

Updated itunes now can't access store

Hi, I updated to iTunes 8.2 yesterday & have just tried to access the store which is not happening. I managed to access the home page once. There were no messages to say there is a problem. I'm not very good at computers but hopefully have followed instructions so far.
I ran a diagnostic test on network connectivity which told me the secure link to the store failed.
I followed those directions & still no joy. I am currently using Google Chrome.

I went into Internet options - connections - LAN settings and unticked the Proxy server button. I hope that's what you meant.
Tried itunes & it worked.
For interest sake I went back & ticked it again & itunes still worked but probably a bit slower.
I don't really understand what Proxy server is but would like to know if it's better to have it on or off.
It's been an hour & a half since I last tried the store(when it wasn't working) . Is it possible it was down for a while?

Use the Mac App Store application and go to the purchased tab, which you'll find at the top of the Mac App Store window.

I'm having problems setting up iTunes on a new PC I've recently purchased. On my old PC - (Vista), myself (David) and my wife (Chris) had different Windows Users accounts, both with separate iTunes accounts which we could access with no problems.
On my new Pc (Windows 7) I have downloaded iTunes and can access my iTunes account with my ID and password when the PC is logged in as 'David' as the User, as can my wife BUT when the PC the PC is logged in as my wife as the User 'Chris' neither of us can access our iTunes account with our relative ID and passwords. We get the message.. "The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.".
I have seen this sentence on Google and on various forums including this one but cannot find a solution which fits my problem which is our iTunes accounts can be accessed when the PC is logged in under one User but not a second User.
Has anyone have ideas to attempt to resolve this issue?

There is nothing that you can do to get rid of the balance on your own. Contact iTunes Store Support and seek their assistance. I believe that they can reset your balance for you.

Installed iTunes 9 as advised and now I can't access store

Hi, just installed iTunes 9 and advised when trying to purchase a film and now I can't access the store. I can access my account etc but just get a blank screen when trying to access store! Have tried technical support but they say it's my computer's problem. Why? when I was on the iTunes store 10 minutes previous! Have limited computer knowledge but any help would be appreciated as I'm about to be flying and need some new films!

I have exactly the same problem. I haven't had access to the iTunes Store since upgrading to 9.0.1 nearly two months ago and none of the suggested fixes have worked for me. I use iolo as my firewall. Does anyone have any ideas?

Changed iTunes password, can't access purchased programs

I changed my iTunes password and now I can't access all the TV shows I purchased. I tried using the old password but that didn't work. Perhaps I made a mistake but I don't want to loose all the stuff I'd bought. Any suggestions?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

After loading iTunes I can not access my iCloud especially I have reset my password and iCloud not recognize it

After signing the agreement had to sign up with iTunes , I can not get access to my iCloud and find my phone. I had to reset my password on Apple.com and it's working but iCloud not recognize my new password. Also could not share my pictures in the iCloud. I have tried many option none worked. Please help

An Apple ID is used for everything (including this site) and including iCloud. See the quote below from https://appleid.apple.com/
There is no such thing as an iCloud password but it is possible that you have 2 Apple IDs and you are using one of them for iCloud.

Mac os x base system on same volume, can't access

Something happened to my mac book and when I booted up went straight to disk utilities.
Updated os x to Lion but can't reinstall.
Tried to reinstall original osx but failed so erased volume but installed mac os x base system on the same volume. only have 1 volume now and its locked, can create parttion or reinstall or anything.
Restarting only takes me back to disk utilities and restore disk can't access drive and its now locked.
New help fixing this big mess please.
