Mac OS X 10.7.5. No MagicPref, no USBDriver(?) No scrolling any direction. HELP PLEASE!
My Magic mouse won't scroll. I have Mac OS X 10.7.5 and have no MagicPref and no USBDriver(?) as I have seen other posts that say to check these. I have no scrolling any direction and I have been in 'Universal Acc' and 'Mouse' to make sure that all checkboxes are correct etc.
Im at the point where Im about to take it back to the shop in Australia to claim on warranty.
Can Anyone help me first :'(

I've got the same problem - Magic mouse, OS 10.7.5, and no scrolling.
Our tech support said it may be corrupted mouse driver preferences.
His 1st suggestion was to delete the mouse from bluetooth, and then re-connect it. That usually re (boot? reinstall?) the driver. Tried it, with no luck.
When he's back in the office, I'll ask him to follow up. When I find out the problem I'll post up here with solution.

Hi there. I also bought an iWires mini Display port to HDMI cable and have an LG LED/LCD TV. I plugged it in to my MB Pro and followed the very small writing that came in the package and got both audio and video going. You need to change the audio settings from within System Preferences on your Mac to select your TV as the audio output.
My concern is the data latency - do you experience a delay between moving your mouse on the MBPro and the TV displaying the movement? It is only a fraction of a second, but certainly enough to be annoying, especially in a cable as expensive as the iWire. -
My files are all there and open in Preview but in Numbers they come up blank. Same in Pages. Any ideas please? My Mac was stopped suddenly by a power cut. Could this be relevant? Help please. Jon Sims

Do you have access to another computer with Numbers installed?
If so, do your files open properly on that computer?
If so, then the problem is your computer itself, which is best posted in a different forum. -

Do you have the original gray system disks that came with the computer, or a full retail install disk set for 10.5? If so, you can use a utiltiy:

to extract just Image Capture from the disk and install it. Otherwise, you would have to reinstall the entire OS -

I'm not sure exactly what "component missing" means, but it sounds more like a missing driver than a missing printer part?
To be honest, I think your going to have to remove all previous Lexmark drivers and software from your system, temporarily connect the printer up USB and use the system updater as per the link that I posted in my first reply.

You might also check to see if you have a failed print job..?
Open the Print & Fax Preferences and select Open Print Queue...
Pause the Printer using the green button.
Select (highlight) each of the jobs in Status and Delete them all.
Resume Printer using the green button and send it a new job. -

Each device can have its own sync preferences with iTunes on the same computer.
If both iPhones are synced with the same Address Book under the same computer login account, then the contacts on each iPhone will be the same. With the Address Book on a Mac, you can sync select Address Book Groups only with an iPhone instead of the entire Address Book and all groups. You and/or your wife can create an Address Book Group or multiple Groups to be synced with each other's iPhone only. You can transfer the settings for one email account to one iPhone and the settings for another email account to the other iPhone. -
I have a family video DVD that was originally on tape, but is now on disc. I want to import it onto my MacBook to edit and store. However the files are IFO, BUP and VOB and the Mac is saying 'unable to import' as it doesn't recognise the file. Help please !!!!!
Those are the constituent parts of a standard mpeg2 DVD. Storing them is easy: just copy the folder to your hard drive and they will play in DVD player or VLC.
But that format is not intended for editing. To do so:
You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:

If not, what happens if you remove the Apple ID on the iPad and then set it in Airplane Mode (allow a couple of minutes at this point) followed by re-adding the Apple ID ?
What, if any error messages are appearing on the Mac when you try to launch the App or Login to the iMessages server ?
Is the Apple ID linked to an iCloud account ?
In Messages 7 (Mountain Lion) this did not seem to be important but it seems it is in Mavericks/Messages 8

There is nothing wrong with your Dell, it will work fine with any MacbookPro. I have been using Dell displays for over 12 years with many different Mac models. I have two 21" Ultra Sharp displays working side by side to design a Keynote presentation right now.
The issue your having is with the way Keynote takes control of the video output to both displays, it sends the presentation signal to one and the presenter display to the other, this is set up in;
Keynote preferences > Presenter display.
If you want to show a wesite or another app on either display, use application switcher:
press the the command key on the keyboard, then the tab key; a row of applications will show what applications are running, choose which one you want to show. Use command > tab to return to Keynote. -

The document I can't get to is the spreadsheet of my passwords. Go figure. When I check the storage under "about this Mac" it says I have 150 GB of 249 GB. I have a MacBook Air. Help please. Cannot publish from iWeb to .Mac, Help please!
I am trying to publish to my site from here in Australia. I was able to publish in the country at the beggining of the trip, but can not now. I get the message "Publish Error - an error occurred while publishing file /Web/Site/iWeb/Site/Blog". I had updated two blog entries and changed the date on an entry. Since then in trying to fix the issue I deleted both of those entries. I have been through .mac support troubleshooting steps to ensure it is not a network error. I have been able to publish to a folder, but when I try to copy the Blog folder from that folder to my iDisk I get "The Finder cannont complete the operation because some data in "" could not be read or written (Error code -36)". Since then they asked that I try to publish from a trial .Mac account or from a new OS X user account on my machine. Both of those attempts failed as well, which they say indicates it's not a .mac account or OS X user set up issue. They asked that I put a copy of my domain file out in the public drive for them to look at, but when I try to do that it goes through and does the copying and then freezes at "Copying Domain.zip to Public, Copied 599.5MB of 599.5MB (Closing file...) - Please wait". Then I get the same error code -36 and am disconnected from iweb. Can anyone out there help please?

I have experienced both modem/network problems and was unable to publish in Tahiti and Cook Islands because of that and now these problems which have nothing to do with network it seems - so yours may or may not be network related. I was able to cheat and copied my "Site" folder from my hard drive to my iDisk rather then publishing. I can't remember if you've tried this or not (read a lot of strings today) but you can publish to a folder and then copy that folder to your iDisk at /Web/Sites/iWeb/Site as "Site" after first renaming the one that is out there now. Let me know if you have any questions on how to do it. It sounds like you are traveling like we are and anxious to communicate with friends and family back home. When you are bored, our site is web.mac.com/baganworldtour.
At least we now have our first update out there in two weeks. But it took almost two hours to copy the folder and this won't work forever. Hopefully we, whether by the discussion room or .mac support next week, will be able to fix the problem for real.

I went to the App store app, scrolled to the bottom, logged out of the account, re logged in with my Apple ID. Then went back to app updates. Once I put in my ID password all was fine. -

With your current approach, the answer is yes. What you can do is create a Shared Access Signature on the queue which will be valid for certain duration and then use that for posting messages to a queue using simple HttpWebRequest/HttpWebResponse.

How do I watch my iTunes movies, tv shows on my mac without having to download them all to my HD? I really want my Mac to function like my Apple TV since I have just moved and don't have my TV for another few weeks. Since I purchased my three Apple TV. I have had no need to download any of my movies to my Mac. Which has been great. However, I remember that I used to now have to do this... or did I? I am just frustrated because I want to stream all this stuff vice haveing to waiting for it all to download fill up my Mac's HD and then just delete. Someone help please?

Safari hangs at startup - weird console message - help?
