Mac OS X Client Import Error

I am attempting to install and use Cisco VPN Client 4.9.01 for Mac OS X under 10.5.1 (Leopard)
The install seems to go fine, along with application launch. The issue is that importing a PCF file doesn't work. Here are the steps.
1. Select Import.
2. Navigate to PCF file, select.
3. Message "File blah blah foo bar imported successfully."
4. No connection entry appears in the list.
5. Looked in folder, profile is indeed there.
6. Can use client through command line, utilizing correct profile.

You should be able to import a pcf file from a Windows client to your MAC OS X client and copy it to the /etc/CiscoSystemsVPNClient/Profiles directory. There are several features on the Windows client which are not available on the MAC Client. Any keywords within the pcf file related to these features should be ignored by the MAC OSX client.

This is the message I get when opening up a Word doc from a cross-country client:
*Import Error*
The document was created with an unsupported version of Word.
Unfortunately, he's out of touch for the next week so I have no idea which version he is using...although a look using BBEdit reveals this in the footer of the doc: Microsoft Word for Windows.
Is there a list of supported and unsupported versions of Word, so I can be prepared for my next encounter with this message?

If you can open it up, is the formatting of great importance, or is it just the information you need? If its info, copy from BBEdit and paste into your Pages doc. Sometimes you can open it in text edit and then save as a different format. (I think its text edit, one of the OSX word processors opens word docs ok.)
Sorry, this also appears as a problem in Numbers (believe it or not, its also a problem with Office 2007 for windows too). The explanation gets a bit complicated, but there are so many variations of how a M$ document is created. (not all docs are made by M$ products remember, but exported from other programs on different systems, even if it says "Word for windows").
Because of the varied amount of things that can be wrong (that M$ products seem to overlook, or fill in the gaps that would normally cause an error), there is no hard list of non-compatible versions.
This is just as we ( a bunch of nerds here and around the web), have found out from experimenting with different versions and such.

Error in client import

hi Experts,
here i need some help for my present issue
about client import;
i finished client export with warnings
after i copied cofiles/data files from source to target system
in my target system we have 3 clients 333,222,444
i need to copy into 444
so after copying files
login into 444 client with sap*
and execute t-code stms_import and checked about my transport requests but not find
so i try to add it in Extrasother reqadd
but i get an error :
description is :
Transport control program tp ended with error code 0212
Error:could not access file as supposed (see dev_tp or s)
in tp out put it shows
error:/usr/sap/trans/cofiles/st0003.dev :cant open:permission denied
then i given 775 permission for all data/cofiles
then again i tried to add request but result is same
i don't understand what happen so please help in this issue

Solution:Create a user with SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profile and repeat the steps. SAP* cannot do/kick of any transport or creating of coflle and datafile.

RD Gateway issue from Mac Remote Desktop client - 503 RPC Error: c0021012

I have an employee who is able to use the Mac Remote Desktop client to connect to her office PC via RD Gateway, but after a short time she consistently has her connection dropped with a
503 RPC Error: c0021012. I've researched this a little and apparently it refers to an expected shutdown condition (RPC_P_CONNECTION_SHUTDOWN) rather than a true RPC "exception". Also, the error almost always occurs exactly
10 minutes after the connection is established, so I'm wondering if a timeout is occurring due to a heartbeat/keepalive not getting through, the expiration of a token or credential, or something similar(?). Any help would be appreciated, here's a section

Is there any error occur on the RD Gateway server? Please make sure that RPC, RPC Locator and RPC Endpoint Mapper service are running on the server. Also, please make sure that the RD gateway
server does not reach the maximum number of connections.

Error 751011 - Mac OSX anyconnect client

Hi all,
I'm running into the following error when I use a Mac OSX anyconnect client when I try to connect. Our Windows 7 anyconnect clients login just fine.

Hi Harry,
I have resolved the issue. I didn't realize that I had to have the Mac Anyconnect pkg file copied to the flash of the ASA. Once I did that the authentication issue went away.

Image Capture gives message "Import Error (-9912)" using Mavericks on Mac. What does this mean?

Downloading pictures from my Panasonic DMC-TZ10 camera has never been a problem using Image Capture. Lately, I started to receive the message "Import Error (-9912) and then a list of pictures it claimed had not been downloaded. In fact, all chosen pictures had been downloaded. Upgrading to Mavericks did not solve the proble. has anyone any ideas please? Thanks! Vin Richley

BAT - Dummy MAC address Import error

Hi,
I am going to use TAPS and I am attempting to add phones via BAT with Dummy MAC address.
I named each device 000000000001, 000000000002 etc. The rest is normal entries.
When i export I check the bnox to use Dummy MAC
I am getting an error that the device is not unique in the lods and no phones are added. I checked and there are no MAC addresses/Phones/DN's with the same values.
Any advice is welcome.

Step by step process of client import

hi Experts
this is swathi, here i performed client export/import process(transport domain is same for both system)
client export over with warnings and i need for client import
below are my steps(performed) :
after client import, i copied those co-files and data files in to target system then
excuting t-code -stms_import in target system and checked in queue
then i didn't find my transport request in target file (stms_import)so i added my transport request in Extras>other requests>add
then it shows error description:

The import is in post processing. It digs through all the documents and adapts them to the new client. Most of the tables in the application area have a "MANDT" (= client) field which needs to be changed. Depending of the size of the client this can take a huge amount of time.
You can try to improve the speed by updating the table statistics for table D010INC.

Excel Import Error

I am getting this message:
Import error
This document was created with an unsupported version of Excel. Only documents created with Excel '97 or later can be opened.
I have searched and haven't found a solution.
This file was created in Open Office and has been edited in Excel 08(mac). Clearly not an old version of Excel. I have opened it in Open Office and re-saved, but Numbers still won't open it.

Found the answer. Both Excel and Open Office were saving the file back to version 5.0.
After forcing a resave and specifying a newer file type, it opened in Numbers.

Import error with MPEG-2 files: Brorsoft Video Converter to Apple Prores.

Hi,
The Brorsoft Video Converter software gives me an 'import error' message when I attempt to import files from a folder on my desktop. That folder contains many mpg files (MPEG-2 Video, AC3). Those files in the folder on my desktop came from a Sony video camera.
I need to convert those mpg files to Apple Prores 422 HQ so I can then edit them in Apple Final Cut Pro X.
But when I go to import those mpg files into the Brorsoft Video Converter software, it comes up with a message saying: 'import error', indicating that the Brorsoft Video Converter software does not understand the type of file.
I am on Mac OS X Version 10.6.8.
I've emailed Brorsoft support but I don't think English is their first language – they've emailed back to me asking for clarification of the problem. And I need the problem fixed as I have to edit this video for someone that has many waiting customers.
Could something have changed in the files when I copied them from the video camera to the desktop?

Thanks for your prompt reply. I was using a friend's video camera – I've just texted him for the exact model of Sony video camera. I didn't yet have the Brorsoft Video Converter software when I had to give the video camera back to my friend. So, I copied the files off the video camera to my desktop.
It records onto an internal hard drive. And yes you're right, I don't need to go HQ. I also tried plain Apple Pro Res. That didn't work either. It comes up with 'Import error' message, so it seems like it just doesn't understand the file type.
When I go 'Get Info' on one of the files off the camera, it tells me it is an 'MPEG-2 video, AC3' file.
I'll try and get MPEG Streamclip like you suggested and see if that works.

Import error moving from iPad to iPhoto

Somewhat puzzled by the inability to import photos from my iPad to iPhoto.
Here's what happened:
1. Used camera connector to transfer high-def JPG format files from a Nikon D50 onto the iPad (no problem, and the *iPad displays the pictures* perfectly).
2. Attach iPad to Mac and start iPhoto.
3. iPad is shown as attached and import window is displayed, correctly showing 176 photos to be imported but *no images are displayed*, only the dotted outline boxes.
4. Attempt 'Import All...' and an *import error is shown listing all 176 JPG files* as not imported.
5. Start Image Capture utility and attempt 'Import All', same error is reported.
6. Attempt selecting just one photo and importing just selected item (fails in both iPhoto and Image Capture with the same import error).
It looks like the iPad can read the JPG files but for some reason the Mac cannot.
Setup details:
iPhoto '08 v7.1.5
Macbook Pro running OS X 10.6.2
iPad running iOS v3.2
Image Capture v6.0.1
Any ideas?

Import error as error number is -12018

Hi All,
While importing a project getting an error as:
Import Error: com.fatwire.cs.core.realtime.DataException: com.fatwire.assetapi.common.AssetAccessException: Error met whiling saving assets [AttrTypes:1415189814137] and the error number is -12018
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29542_01/apirefs.1111/e39371/MISC/errno.html shows error related to Missing publication. No clue..

-12018 means " Missing publication."
Since the DemoSite is a new site that doesn't exist in the CSDT target environment, I would import the site first, e.g.
java com.fatwire.csdt.client.main.CSDT http://hostOrIP:8080/cs/ContentServer username=fwadmin password=xceladmin resources=@SITE:DemoSite cmd=import
NOTE: Make sure the site was exported to your datastore before import.
Then, import assets of this site:
java com.fatwire.csdt.client.main.CSDT http://hostOrIP:8080/cs/ContentServer username=fwadmin password=xceladmin resources=@ALL_ASSETS:*;@ALL_NONASSETS:* fromSites=DemoSite cmd=import
Note that the parameter is fromSites, not fromSite.

"Import Error" with Word Document (google doc)

I tried to open a word document that I created using Google's online document program and I keep getting 'import error' when I try to open with Pages. I tried it several times on several different .doc documents created with the Google program and get the same error message.
G4 Powerbook Mac OS X (10.4.8)

It's likely they aren't true Word documents & there is some formatting or feature that the translator in Pages can't handle. Could you post a link to where these can be created so others of us can try it?
