Mac OS X Lion[360] Can not connect to /var.run/systemkeychaincheck.socket
I have cleaned my hard disk, and want to install a clean OS X Lion via the Internet, but it shows this error:
Mac OS X Lion[360] Can not connect to /var.run/systemkeychaincheck.socket
and the time is still at : remains about 103 hours and 36 mins.
No, I do not know why.
I installed a new copy of Lion via USB Flash Installer. I have no iead about how to fix this problem.

You have to install Boot Camp drivers. On Mountain Lion, you have to download them.
First, press X key while your Mac is starting to start into OS X. Then, open Boot Camp Assistant and select the option to download the drivers. You will have to burn them into a DVD or USB drive, so after downloading them, restart and install them into Windows -

Something related to sock(2) because that's not part of your copied info. I'm thinking you've doubled up on sockets and the second socket doesn't exist, meaning you should be connecting to the first socket "mysqld.sock" whether automatic or not.
I've only used GUI tools on purpose, so does this mean you've already got MySQL running and you tried to launch it again manually? Perhaps you already have one instance of a db and you're trying to launch a second instance, and the two can't coexist with a single user local db?
Assuming this is all local, I'd shut down the db service and restart it, out of hand. I've seen similar messages when I set the db to start up on boot, and it didn't finish shutting down when I tried to restart it manually. Usually the GUI won't let me turn it on because it reports it's already running, but in that case it hadn't finished performing what the GUI was reporting.

Mac 10.9.3 I can not connect C4780 to print on network.
I recently changed router and can not install my C4780 printer to the wireless network, it use to work perfectly. In order to set it up on the new router I deleted the printer and was planning to install it as I did the last time but it wont work. I can get it to work by having it as a USB printer but I dont want that, its really annoying me!

Thank you for your reply! In order to get an IP Address I would recommend the following:
Restore the Network Defaults. (On the printer, select the wireless icon to access the wireless menu, and select Restore Network Defaults).
Go to the airport icon, and look for hpsetup. Once connected Adhoc, the airport icon will change to a square. only then will you be able to print out the new IP by printing the Network Configuration Page. Printing a Network Configuration Page.
The new IP will start with 169.254.. then you can go into the Embedded Web Server to run the wireless setup wizard. (To access the embedded web server, put the IP address into the address bar of Safari. Once at the Embedded Web Server click on the Network tab, then select Wireless Setup Wizard.

Can not connect to mac app store
I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion on my early 2008 MacBook Pro. Now, each time I go to the App Store, it either displays can not connect to the Mac App Store, or if it does, the store is very slow and I can not download any apps. I'm not sure why this is happening. Any thoughts?

My imac running lion can not connect to a Windows PC on my network
My imac runing lion 10.7 can not connect to my Windows 7 pc on my network. When i select connect to server, I can see the windows computer but when i try to connect, i get the error message:
Connection failed. There was a problem connecting to the server. Ther server may not exist or is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection and try again.
I entered smb:// computer name and I tried smb://IP address. Neither would connect.
I am able to connect to the imac from my Window PC and access files but not I can not connect my iMac to the Windows PC.
I am trying to connect the two computers so that I can use a printer that is attached to the Windows 7 pc.
When I first downl;oaded and installed Lion, I was able to connect to the Windows 7 pc and use the printer attached to it.
I have tried 5 or 6 different suggestions to no avail. Both computers are up to date and the printer drivers are up to date.
Please let me know if there is a solution.Be sure to make the network Workgroup name on the Mac and Windows boxes the same.
On the Mac it is in System Preferences, Network Preferences, Advanced, WINS
On the Windows machine check in the Control Panel where you will also find the Computer name listed. I don't have my PC running right now, so I am not sure exactly where it is. Only assign a Workgroup, do not create a Domain.
You can also search in Windows for Workgroup.
I can link/network Lion to Win7 and vice versa without any problems. -

I have a 4s iPhone which I loaded the new Os on last night. Now I can not connect to iTunes. A message comes up saying i need 10.6.3 or later but I am running 10.6.1 as I have an older Mac. Anyone have ideas how to get this to work?
Its not telling you to update your iPad, its telling you you need to download a recent version itunes on your computer.

I dowloaded Lion OSX and installed. I downloaded 13 iitems and installed only 12. At the end of the insta;;ation I received a notice thst Safart can not connect to Server. Safari does not work on user where installation was made. It work on other user. All internet connections work including google. If I go into Safari the blue line goes up to end of "http" on adress and freezes. Where do I go from here.:::???

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone. -

Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac". Write down what it says about "version"and report that here. Now continue to "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
Even my 12 year old Mac lets me download the newest iTunes. Of course I can't install it but any computer can download the installer files so we need to know precisely what you are trying and what error messages you are seeing.
