Mac OSX 10.5.8 to Windows 7

I've done a very quick search but not found anything - I know it must be out there but I'm obviously not using the correct search terms... Hoping someone will take pity and help me out.
All my music and iPhone stuff is currently on my iMac running 10.5.8 and I need to transfer it over to my new PC running Windows 7. I have a USB pen to do the transfer with, but it was over 6 years ago that I did the original transfer to my Mac and I have no idea how to do it the reverse way, especially since I now have all the iPhone data too.
Could anyone point me in the right direction of resources/step by step I can follow?

Insert your OS X install disc and restart holding the C key, hold it down until you see the Apple logo and spinning gear. Choose your language and at the next screen from the top menu bar select Utilities-Disk Utility. Select your internal hard drive, click on the Partition tab and select 1 partition. Click on the Options button and select GUID partition scheme. Click OK. Choose to format the drive as Mac OS Extended Journaled. When Disk Utility is done and your drive is properly partitioned and formatted quit DU and go back to the installer screen and reinstall OS X. When you're up and running run software update a couple times to get everything up to date as far as you can with 10.5.8. Mac OSX 10.8 user on Windows Network

We recently set up a Mac OSX 10.8.2 user on our Windows Server network at our business and have noticed that he has access to all of the server folders on the network no matter the permissions set. How are we able to set the same permissions to the Mac user that the PC users live by? We restrict many of the server folders to certain users.
Help is greatly appreciated as we have been unable to figure a solution.

How is the Mac user connecting to the Windows server? Via Finder by typing in smb://your.server.domain? If the Mac user tries connecting from a Windows machine, does his user have the correct permissions?

Configure MacMiniServer 2,53 GHz MAC OSX Server 10.6 via Windows 7 PC

i have a problem. I bought the MacMiniServer 2,53 GHz MAC OSX Server 10.6 and I want to configure the MacMiniServer via a Windows 7 PC. But the Mac Mini Mac OS x Server Install DVD can not open with a Windows 7 PC. Is there a possibility to start the install DVD from a windows 7 PC. I have at this time only a Windows PC.

The MacMini Server having no optical drive has nothing to do with what you want to do. The server OS comes pre-installed.
All you have to do is follow Mr Hoffman's suggestions.
Any USB Keyboard and mouse will do. Your only problem as far as I can see is finding a suitable monitor and/or DVI adapter to connect it to. It may be worth your while purchasing a Mini Display Port to VGA adapter?

I have my iTunes library on an old Mac PowerBook running OSX, 10.4.11 (together with an almost equally old iPod 30GB). I switched to PC and would like to transfer my library (including iTunes and Audible purchases, plus all my CDs) to my new PC running Windows 7. (From there, I'll get rid of the old iPod and get a new one, so I'm "only" bothered with the switch between the two operating systems). Can't find any instruction in the Help files how to move along.
(I have activated the PC in iTunes)

Nice answer guy. All those search results say pc to mac not mac to pc. I have same problem. I have more files than my pc and my pc will not even recognize my external hard drive. Got any ideas?

osx 10.7.1 and parallels 6 to run windows xp. my windows internet explorer is useless due to virus. so i have to use my mac safari for download of firefox. however, so far it will only download the .dmg file not the .exe file i need.

Remote Desktop via F5 Firepass (Mac OSX 10.7 Lion to Windows XP Professional)

I'm trying to log-in to my Windows XP Professional PC at work from my OSX 10.7 Lion Mac using F5 Firepass.
On both Safari and Firefox I can access the 'Terminal Servers' page. There are two links on this page to my machine, one of which uses java and the other uses something else.
On Safari, clicking on either of the links just loads up a sort of 'template' page with unclickable links like 'Datopic's Office Computer' and 'Full Screen Mode' along the top.
On Firefox, I have the same problem as Safari with the non-java link, but using the Java link I can actually see the log-in screen for my computer. Unfortunately, although I can move the mouse cursor and click on things (e.g. the 'Username' box), I can't type anything - I just get a sort of 'beeping' sound from the computer as if I'm trying to type on a screen with no input fields.
Can anyone tell me from this what the issue is? Please bear in mind that my technical knowledge in this area is limited beyond belief, so the solution could be really simple.

Copying my iTunes library from Mac OSX 10.4.6 to Windows ..

I have recently installed Windows using BootCamp. My iTunes library is currently on the Apple partition. How do I copy the files over to Windows?

If the Windows partition is in FAT32 format, copy the iTunes Music folder in the Music folder of the folder Finder's sidebar with the house icon to the Windows drive.
If the Windows partition is in NTFS format, install MacFUSE onto Mac OS X and then follow the above steps, or use a FAT32 drive or partition as a temporary storage location.
Another option is to install MacDrive into Windows, and then copy the files from the Mac partition. The home folder is located in the Users folder of the Mac OS X startup disk for accounts you've created yourself.

MAC OSX 10.3.9 and Windows SBS2003

I seem unable to configure my Entourage 2004 to my Exchange 2003 Small Business Server. When even trying to connect to the server via network/connect and inputting domain/username/password I am getting "The alias SBS2003 could not be opened because the original item cannot be found".
This is extremely frustrating since spending another £350 on Office!!! On the SBS Macintosh services are installed,and there is a UAM volume.

I have to say I disagree with the Genius.
My 1GHz Titanium Powerbook G4 with 1GB RAM runs Leopard just fine. You only need 512MB RAM for Leopard according to the system requirements so 1GB will be comfortable. That said RAM is cheap:

Tiger only needs 256MB so to tell you to upgrade to 2GB smacks of encouraging towards you getting a new Mac.
I suspect Snow Leopard won't work on G4 Macs, so I wouldn't wait for that.

How do I get Windows's off my MacBook and Mac osx back on?

I purchased a MacBook (A1181) off eBay "for parts" but the only thing it needed was a new battery. I turned it on and everything worked fine, only problem is that it's running Windows 7 professional and is password protected. When I contacted the eBay seller they said the Mac was supposed to be wiped clean and they could not help me because it was sold "for parts." I cannot log in to wipe and I don't have any original discs or any Mac osx discs. I want windows off and a fresh copy or snow leopard on my MacBook. PLEASE HELP

You can use a Snow Leopard retail install disk to erase the drive and install 10.6 Snow Leopard.
Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window.
Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. You should see your hard drive in the left hand column along with your other drives. Click on the drive and select the Erase tab. Set the format value to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and click the Erase button. After that has finished select the Partition tab. Type in a Name for your hard drive and select how many partitions you want from the Volume Scheme. The usual setting is one partition. Click on the Options button after you've selected a partition to make sure it's set for GUID. Then click the Apply button and after the Partitioning is done quit Disk Utility.
You can now follow the instructions on the install screen

Is there any way to install windows photo gallery on Mac osx??

I love my new Mac but iPhoto and picasa drive me nuts, with windows photo gallery I can see all my folders on pictures directory and move them around and tag or delete them from the program. When I upload a batch if pics I name that folder temp. Then I tag each photo and drag them to the appropriate folders then eventually that folder is empty. Please help me out this is driving me crazy for the past week. I just wish I could install photo gallery on Mac osx without having to install windows??thanks

Mac OSX: need a batch export function

I am in need of batch export function for PP on MAC OSX. I know that windows based Premiere Pro has Media Encoder that can bring up render queue. Why is that missing here?
I use Premium Production Suite CS5 (educational) and there is Adobe Media Encoder but it encodes only flash files.

You were right. I don't know why but I had this file which let me encode only to FLV file and then I was really confused because I read somewhere that Media Encoder is part of Adobe Flash and is used only by this app.
So I put different file and it worked!

You run Windows in Parallels or Fusion. Then in Windows you install the program.
