Mac OSx Full Drivers with Printer Options

Hi,
Is there a way to deploy full drivers with iPrint. The PPD driver deployment works well, but it lacks any of the printer functions that is needed by the clients. The printer is a Xerox WorkCenter 7845 (Color, HolePunch, Stapling. . . )
The PPD driver only does grey scale printing and none of the other features work. I would love to do the following with iprint:
1. Set printer options.
2. Deploy the full Mac OSx Driver package of Xerox for this printer.

You can edit the ppd file to set the options.

Memory full error with printing pdf

Occasionally I get a memory full error with printing pdf (Cmd-P - then use save PDF on lower left dialog screen). This is when just printing a few pages.
Why Am I getting this and how can I fix this?

I am not sure why but I have noticed some Adobe products when used to convert html documents (web pages) to pdf, can produce very large files.
Try using Apple's Preview to see if those 'memory full' messages still occur.
I am presuming you have plenty of free hard drive space and also sufficient RAM so suggesting it is an application bug about memory that is at issue and not actually a lack of physical memory.

Instructions for Rebuilding Mac OSX 10.7 with Bootcamp?

Hi Folks!
I'm new to the Mac OSX world (well, relatively) so please bare with me as I ask what may seem a very elementary question....
I would like to completely rebuild my iMac, and include Bootcamp (yes, I want the option at boot-up time; not VMWare) so I can run Windows 7. Is there a document, or website, that would provide these instructions? From booting up from the OSX CD, creating the various partitions, installing Bootcamp, followed by intalling Windows 7?

It is very simple. Boot from your original install DVD and run Disk utility. Wipe the complete drive by either erase or partition. Then install OS X. Once that is done run Boot Camp and create a partition for Win 7. Download the support files from Apple for Win 7 and have the Win 7 DVD handy. Insert 7 DVD and install. Once the install of 7 completes (or during the install of 7) load the Apple drivers.
If you want multiple partitions for Mac or Win 7 I'm not sure you can do that and still install 7 or after and have everything still work.
Or you could just buy a lower cost Win 7 PC and place it next to your Mac.

Can anyone help with printer options on iPad mini, can I change layout paper size?

I am trying to change the printer options on my iPad mini so that I can print on legal size paper, I also would like to change to portrait layout. Is this an option when printing from an iPad Mini?

I think the same problem exists with all the iOS devices. I suggest you look for a free App from the manufacturer of your printer. It will have limitations, but may include the ability to change paper size and image size and orientation.
There are other printing Apps such as Print n Share that can do that, but they are not free.
The problem you may face, is that such printing Apps can only be accessed from within other Apps that have the "Open In" option. If you can use their built-in programs, they may meet your needs.

Pricing condition type with print option

I have a special requirement. Printing option "b" maintained for condition type in pricing procedure. Example ZR00. For some customers this should not print and should allow only for specific customers.
Any clue will appreciated.

However my observation is, it requires some enhancement of Z table kind of thing. Reason is a discount which needs to be printed today may not be required tomorrow to be printed or the other way round. It depends on the customers business nature with your client. In such case it has to be part of master data where the enduser should have an option to make the necessary entries from time to time.
If we hard code in the print program initially it can work. It will check the customer and print only those discounts but tomorrow if there is a change we have move a request to the print program again which is not the right approach.

Compatibility of Mac OSX 10.4 with 10.7.4

Hi there,
I bought this cambridge advanced learner's dictionary Third edition that's compatible to both Windows and Mac OSX10.4. But my DVD -Rom just not accepting. Its simply ejecting after a couple of minutes. Same happened with my Windows operating system as well. My Mac operating system is 10.7.4. What I need to know is
1. why is my DVD rom not reading the CD?
2.Is the software compatible to Mac Osx 10.4 also compatible wit 10.7.4?
3. How must I solve the issue?
4. Can you tell me where can I find the dictionary that's compatible with my operating system that's Mac 10.7.4?

So I would try resetting your SMC on you mac running 10.4 http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 You may also need to clean out the optical drive with pressured air. If those 2 things don't work, then you might want to have the optical drive looked at. As far as the software being compatible with 10.4 and 10.7, most likely it's going to be a power pc app and not going to be compatible with 10.7 but you can always try loading the software.

Mac osx 10.6 with sbs server 2003

yet they both lack support for the home user, and all suggest that the users have a static ip address, but this is sadly not the case.

Mac OSX/CS5; Won't print

CS5/Mac OSX: Will not print on Canon d420 or Epson 1400. - other applications (Office) work fine. Adobe soft ware does not recognize printer connection. Nothing seems to work

Which Adobe software specifically are you referring too? Also what version of Mac OS are you currently using?

I just tried installing them. I got the message that "Some updates failed to install" (including for CS5), to quit and try again. I was curious and tried again to print and lo and behold, I could print! I'm still nervous that not everything installed and wonder how to get a complete install.

Mac osx kernel panic with nomachine

Symptom : Was frequently getting kernel panic on MacBook Pro 9.1 after any mac osx 10.8 (mountain lion) software upgrade.
Root Cause : NoMachine softare installed on Mac
How to Fix : Start Mac Book Pro in Safe Mode (Hold Down Shift while starting, until a grey bar appears)
Once booted in Safe mode, remove from "NoMachine" from Applications folder
Other third party drivers can cause similar problems.
Diagnosis Steps:
1. Start in Safe Mode
2. Get the panic log - /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
3. Will have error like

Uninstalling NoMachine altogether is not required. It is enough to disable the USB driver as explained here:

Unable to use scan with networked HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP using Mac OSX, but able to print.

I'm using an HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP.
It is networked wirelessly via an Apple Extreme and prints just fine over the network but will not scan.
Yet, it scans just fine when I move the printer's USB cable from the Extreme directly to the MacBook Pro (a bit of a hassel).
When I try to scan over the wireless network, I'm able to go through the scan driver interface and see the printer, but when I click on "Scan", I recieve this error message:
"Scanner communication cannot be established."
"HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP is currently unavailabe. Ensure cables are connected.. etc."
I'm running OSX 10.8.3 on an old MacBook Pro (2008)

Hello, DP Photo, sounds like a scanning issue with the software. To start I want you to completely remove the software and then reinstall the programming from the packages available on the website I am going to link you to below. Use the full-feature software if available.

Sudden issues with adobe X on mac OSX 10.7 when printing PDFs

Everything was fine until an hour ago, when I tried printing a PDF and I got the error "Adobe quit unexpectedly. Click the reopen the applicaiton again"
When I checked Show Details, this was listed
Exception type: EXE_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x00000000000012
I cannot print documents, documents with markup, and documents with stamps, I can , as a workaround, print PDFs as images.
I don't believe the issue is with the HP printer or the Ricoh Copier - it's with Adobe. I cna print to both of them from the same computer in other applications.
I don't think the issue is memory as this is the only app that is crashing.
No updates were done recently. The PDfs in questions are standard PDF - nothing special about them. I even created a new PDF with only the word Test on it and that crashed as well.
Please advise.

Have no idea if you are talking about Acrobat or Reader. There is no Adobe program. In any case, do a repair to the application and see if that helps.

Install MAC OSX 10.5 with 10.4

Hi there all,
I have a 933mhz G4 Mac book and I want to experiment with OSX 10.5. I currenlty have 10.4 installed. As I have just above the min spec's for 10.5, I want to preserve my instillation of 10.4.11. Can I dual boot 10.4 and 10.5? If I make a second partition on the HDD, could I install 10.5 on it and on booting choose which version of OSX to boot into?

Yes. Of course making such a partition will erase the entire disk, so you will have to back everything up first and then reinstall Tiger as well as installing Leopard: that done you can choose which to set up as your startup disk, and you can hold option while booting to bring up a screen to choose the other partition. Or you could get a firewire external disk drive and install Leopard on that.

I'm getting this on two different machines running different OSX versions with different graphics cards:

Was in a chat with an Adobe tech person and they even remotely got on my computer and changed permissions on two Adobe folders and sub folders and it still didn't work. Adobe Premiere CC seems to work. But clients are all using CC 2004.

Try this:
Go to the following locations:
Location 1: When in Finder, click on Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Location 2: Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe
Location 3: Documents > Adobe
In all the locations, rename the 'Adobe' folders to 'OldAdobe'
Launch Premiere, accept the License Agreement and see if it works.
Note: You will lose your customized workspaces and keyboard shortcuts.

New Mac OSX Mavericks won't print web pages

Just got a new Mac Mini with Mavericks installed and no matter what browser I try I will print a few pages off web sites then it will stop and give me a screen that says an "Print error" and will not print at all.
Any Ideas? I have reset the printer settings several times it works a few times then it stop and will not print.
I can save the page as a pdf and it will print those but this is not a acceptable solution fo the user's station.
It will print other thing fine with the exception of web pages.
I tried with sevral office printers all varios model and all the same problem when printing web pages.
