MAC osx SUPPORT for 6500 classic

i am a new owner for the 6500 classic and wondered why nokia dont list this phone under the mac support?
does any one have any recommendations of software/plugins i can download for mac tiger 10.4 that will sync with ical etc etc but that will work with a wide range of phones? or a generic syncing software. most dont seem to support the 6500 !!

I have downloaded two third party plugins, one from NOVA, only to find out that they don't work with iSync 3.0. Nokia of course told me it would not be a problem to get a plugin!!! Does anyone know where it's available?

Is there an install for Windows and OSX support for Proximity.
I have upgraded all of my endpoints to TC7.1.2. (SX, C Series, EX) and Proximity is working great however most of my users bring laptops to meetings not iOS devices.

@fcosgrove; we are currently starting a limited trial for Win and Mac clients (EFT, part of TC 7.3). The main feature for the laptop client is sharing FROM your laptop to the video endpoint, so you can skip the cable, dongles etc in the room.
We do have plans for supporting call control and content receive to the laptop as well, but that's later.
The first PC & Mac version has target for first half 2015, but is subject to change (as in: not yet committed).

How many luns does mac OSX support from a single target (array) is it 255?
For example, if using the Dual-channel 4Gb Fibre Channel PCI Express card? Is it 255, 512 or higher? I know it uses the ATTO driver, but I can't find any documentaiton about the upper limits of how many luns this HBA can address from a single target array on a SAN. Thanks.

The card should be an ATTO 42ES whcih supports 255 LUNS per channel

Phone cradle for 6500 Classic

I am thinking about replacing my 6230I and have been offered a 6500 classic.
I have a CK7w fitted in my car including swivel mounting bracket and cradle.
I need to replace the cradle with one for the 6500. Nokias web site says there is not one available. I have been offered a Nokia CR 82 Cradle but can not confirm that this will work.
I need to operate the phone and charge it plus connect to an external antenna

There is no cradle for the 6500 classic.
It has a micro USB charging port located on the top of the phone, therefore a 'drop in' cradle is not possible.
The CR-82 only supports the 'thin pin' style charging pin and the charging needs to be at the bottom of the phone so it cannot work with the 6500 classic.
The only option would be the cr-39 and dc-6 cigarette lighter charger.

OSX support for Gige Vision cameras?

Is there any support in OS X for the huge line of Gige Vision cameras now available? There are only a few USB and Firewire cameras that work well with OS X. If I could use Gige cameras, it would open up a multitude of options for me, but I can't find any mention of support or SDKs for the Gige Vision protocol in Mountain Lion.

I suggest you contact GEViCAM directly http://www.gevicam.com/contactus/gevicam.html and ask them if their product can work with your system.

03. screch the option calld port forwading
04. enter the server ip address to that
05. save and restart the router

Is there a way to auto-install the Java Runtime and plugin for Mac browsers like Internet Explorer and Netscape?
Do the <object classid...> tags work on Macs too?
I do know that Mac OS X shipped with Java 1.3.1. But how can I find out if the plugin is supported by a Mac user's browser?

New school, macs not supported for school internet

i just started school at a school that doesn't support macs, so i was wondering what the IP address was. in my dorm room we have ethernet, and it says i'm not connected, even though the cord is plugged in. the internet guy at school said to post a question to figure out what the IP address was because he said it changes a lot. so if someone could please help me...i need the internet!!!!!!!!!!

Another way to get to the system profiler is via the Apple Menu in the upper left of your screen. Click on the Apple icon, then select "about this mac". On the next panel, select "more info". The ensuing panel has a lot of information about your machine and its software. On the left side you'll see Network. Click on it and you'll see the IP address if your machine recognized the school's network connection.
If you are using Safari, when you get the message "cannont connect etc." when selecting a web site, click on the diagnostic button. This will open the Network Diagnostic panel which may help you get connected to the school's network. Just follow the prompts, answering the questions as they are presented. If you don't know the answer, I'd contact the School's tech/network person for clarificaion.
As the previous poster suggested, this is not the best forum for getting your Network question answered. If there is no help from the above suggestion, repost in the recommended forum.

I recently purchased a Mac mini 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 and wanted to connect it to a Samnsung Syncmaster 244T monitor. I connected it using the Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter but it would not display. I also attempted to use the HDMI to DVI adapter included with the Mac but to no avail. Any recommendations?

Try resetting the Mac Mini's > NVRAM and PRAM
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
3. Turn on the computer.
4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
6. Release the keys.

You can't. Excel is a commercial product sold by Microsoft in an Office "package" and not as a stand-alone product.
If you need to be able to open and save Excel documents on your Mac, however, you could try the free LibreOffice.

Car kit for 6500 from 6230i

I have the now old cark 126 great holds and charges the phone even has an arial. It seems what ever I do now with my new phone is a backward step. I am begining to think I should have kept my 6230i instead of changing to the 6500c.
I hope one of you can help with the following issues.
1 Which hands free kit should I use?
2 Is there a cradle available?
3 What about charging the phone ?
4 arial ?

The only option you have is to change your car kit, Nokia only do bluetooth car kits for 6500 classic. Look at Nokia ck-15w or ck-7w, your phone will work with other brands of bluetooth kits like Parrot or THB Bury.

search the web for a file named macOS.jar. I downloaded it more than a year ago and it works alomst fine on WIN2000. I don't know whether there is an updated version by now. There are two drawbacks on the version I run:
- you cannot use JFormattedTextfields
- once you displayed the MAC-PLAF you cannot switch to other LAFs without getting traces of the MAC-LAF.
