Mac Overrides Key Commands?

Mac Pro 3.1, 16-GB Ram, OS 10.6.8, CS6 Extended
I notice trhat recently hitting Key Commands in Photoshop like Command-M minimizes my open window to the dock instead of opening Curves? This used to work. The Keyborad Shortcuts as set in Photoshop correctly, but it is ignoring them and using the Finder shortcut instead?

You may not like what I'm about to tell you, but it is the absolute truth:
I just went to Photoshop 13 ("CS6") on my machine running under Snow Leopard, and pressed Command+M, which immediately brought up the Curves adjustment dialog box.
Something is wrong with your setup.

Go to
 > System Preferences > Keyboard
Click on the 'Keyboard' tab and hit the 'modifier keys...' button. You can see and change the defaults there.
As I'm not sure if all the labels are the same in Lion, he's a screenshot from Snow Leopard. It should be similar enough:

I use a Mac Powerbook G4 laptop 15" Model 5,8
In Logic I have keys F9-F12 programmed as the slow and fast rewind forward and back ( ie 4 commands in all)
The Mac factory programmed short cuts, F11 and F12 are usually used for Expose/Mac functions but are reprogrammable, so I went into System Preferences/Keyboard and reprogrammed them as OPTION F11 and F12 for Mac functions.
This then allowed me to use F11 and F12 for the dedicated Logic function.
However, Apple System Preferences for some reason does not 'remember' the reprogrammed keyboard short cut ... which means that each time I boot up Logic, I have to go into System Preferences and reprogramme the short cuts in Apple again.
Can anyone suggest a solution?

Sounds like you are still using the (old) Logic 8 (?) key commands. Zoom was changed in the Logic 9 defaults to Control+Option and the arrow keys.
Control Arrow L/R controls Mission Control in Lion (ie 'Spaces').
You could change the defaults in System Preferences:

It's the button (key) that is labelled Control.
Each of the modifier keys and similar keys has its own symbol; this makes listing command keys easier to do. The Command key is usually the only key which has its symbol printed on the key. If you open Keyboard Viewer (in the Input menu, the one which displays the flag in the main menu bar), you can see what symbol refers to which key.

PUT KEY command with returned SW 6982

There would be some other threads dealing with PUT KEY command however, my put key command failed with SW6982.
Firstly, I have done it successfully in Java and now I migrate this solution to C#.Net, I have an PCSC class which helps me communicate with the SCreader. I refered to this thread

I have replaced the values of this scripts to the java code and it produces the same values as in C# code. I really don't know why? The External Authenticate command executed successfully and I use its C-MAC to calculate to C-MAC of PUT KEY command (as detailed in EMV CPS v1.1, page 79/103).
One more thing: in the source in the thread mentioned above, I saw that in the PUT KEY apdu command, he added the value "00" after the C-MAC of PUT KEY. I don't know why?
Is there anybody experienced the same problem as mine and has resolved it? It would be very kind of you to spend a little time on my problem and advice me what to do, I'm really stuck now.

Key Command for Rewind

I'm a new to mac and logic so sorry if this is obvious to some. I'm trying to figure out the keyboard shortcut for rewind. I found the key commands page and next to "rewind" is a rectangle of 3 columns of 4 dots followed by something that looks like a single ant dropping (It's not clear to me if it's a period, comma or even and "i" or the number 1 because the font is so tiny that zooming in is useless). Can someone tell me what these symbols mean or even better just what the rewind shortcut key is? I can't find anything on the keyboard that looks like this. Thanks!

While we are at it, forward is "." (full stop/period).
The labels on the keys also have < and > which can be helpful as a reminder.

Key command for "undo" not customizable anymore?

In the LP8 manual the key cmd. for "undo" is claimed to be exchangeable by the user, but it is not (dimmed).
I used to set it to <cmd.-y) - similar to protools, because <cmd.-z> is a rel cripple grip.
it still works with importing my old LP7 prefs, but is reset to <cmd.-z> each time I launch LP8 again.

an other reason might be this: when setting for example <y> for undo in LP7, you can't use the y in the save-as.. dialog box for naming anymore, because the y will be interpreted as undo. that's why I chose <cmd.-y>.
and why restricting only the system shortcuts if there was the "danger" of getting too familiar with those, what about "stop", "play", "rew", "mute", "solo", "divide", etc.? those commands exist in other apple apps as well.
I must admit, that I am just too clumsy for typing <cmd.-z> on a german keyboard more than twice a month. but my editing temper requires a lot more.
where to get detailed instructions for changing the system shortcuts in general?

Key Command for Snapping

I've found that turning off "snapping" at certain times is just as useful as turning it on are at others. Sure would be useful if there was a key command for toggling this feature on and off. Anyone know if there is such a command? If not, perhaps Apple can consider it for the next iteration.

I gotta bring up one of my favorite third-party utilities for the Mac, QuicKeys. QuicKeys lets you create macros that do simple tasks and complex tasks. You can assign a keystroke to do just about anything on your Mac.
You can assign your own keystroke to a menu command. Or perform complex tasks, like open the iMovie preferences window, set the snap checkbox, then close the window. Macros can even be intelligent. "If the snapping checkbox is off, turn it on. Otherwise leave it on."
So for tasks done several times a day, I often create a QuicKeys command.
An example. A QuicKeys command for Safari just italicised that word and made this one bold. First QuicKeys typed the HTML tag for italics, then moved the cursor to the middle of the tag so Safari was ready for me to type the italicized text.

Open the General tab of the Safari preferences and correct the home page; the default page is this one. If it has become set to a folder on an FTP server or a local drive, that request will be sent to the Finder. (28252)

MobileMe Sharing Key Commands?

Hi,
I have a Mac Pro and newly purchased 17" MBP which is my remote editing suite. I have some useful customized keyboard shortcuts which I told my Mac Pro's Logic Studio to backup/sync on Mobile Me.
After trying various ways of getting these key commands the new laptop (including what I thought would be the obvious "export key commands" option in Logic) I've yet to successfully copy my key commands over, and when I tried to sync my MBP's commands in the preferences (thinking I could "restore" from the backup I'd made on my MPro, Logic said it could only do this by taking ownership of the commands from the Mac Pro, which I said yes to, and it still didn't do it!!
Is this a "its supposed to work but doesn't due to issues with MobileMe" problem (As it seems a brilliantly simply idea) or am I missing some elephant-in-the-room trick here?

I'd like to put three initial key with 404142434445464748494A4B4C4D4E4F to the JCOP card. I know there is a script command, set-key, but I'd like to use APDU Command.
I tried,

and there is 6985(conditions of use not satisfied) error.
Please let me know the correct command.

Its a bit more complicated than just sending a clear text key within a PUT KEY command. According to the GlobalPlatform specifications, the PUT KEY command can only be issued within a Secure Channel Session. Further the key data within the PUT KEY command must be encrypted with the Key Encryption Key and each key must have its own key check value.
Once you have found all the relevant portions of the specifications, the following may help. It is a put key script for a proprietary tool and it details the steps that are required to produce a viable PUT KEY command. Of course you will have to convert these steps to work in your own environment.
