ive tried solutions one and two on adobe support page with no luck, i also reinstalled creative cloud, and nothing.  I was able to install Lightroom but not Photoshop.

did you check your activity monitor to see if adobe help is running when installation hangs?

    Typically this is caused by the internal list of compatible devices in the Mac being out of date.  All you should need to do is disconnect the printer from the Mac, run Apple Software Update (even if there are no updates, the list will still update), restart the Mac, connect the printer to the Mac, and add the print queue.  If that doesn't work, let me know.

    Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
    (Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
    Try trashing them in Safe Mode, reply if that doesn't help.

    I have an older Mac Pro (2006). I want to install Boot Camp and Windows. I have installed a boxed Snow Leapord on the machine. And it says the download of the Boot camp drivers cannot continue because they are not available. But at that point I have not inserted a windows disk, so how does it know i have XP?
    So it appears I am limited to Windows 7? And where are the Windows 7/Boot Camp Drivers? On the OS disk?
    Finally, since I have necer considered Windows 7 before, I assume there are no compatability issues with mainstream applications that were running in XP?

    Just remember to reformat the partition (bootcamp partition) to NTFS with the windows installer, ensure to pick the correct partition.

    Hello.  I am running Photoshop CC 2014 on a MAC with OSX LION.  I also have Photoshop CS6 installed.  When I double-click on a file in Bridge CC, it always opens in CS6.  If I say "OPEN WITH Photoshop CC 2014", or if I drag the file directly to CC 2014 in the Dock it will open in CC.  Since I like to double-click or hit return in the bridge, I am constantly having to wait until the file opens in CS6, quit CS6 an then open it another way to get it into Photoshop CC 2014.  I tried to disable CS6 by hiding it, but then double-clicking Bridge did nothing.  Any ideas why this is happening?

    Check and adjust the File Type Associations in the bridge cc preferences.

    How to run FCP 6 (FCS 2) under Lion.
    The installer for FCP 6 (FCS 2) is a PPC app. The Programs themselves are Intel. If your trying to install FCP 6 (FCS 2) this work-around will work...
    First you need to install Rosetta from your Snow Leopard OS installation disc:

    My 2007 mac pro won't read windows 7 install disc. My macbook reads the disc fine, so it is not a problem with the disc. It is 32-bit. The apple help line suggested firewire connecting the macbook to the macpro and starting the macbook in target disc mode, but other posts I have read have said that this will not solve the issue. Any suggestions?

    Could be. I just rebooted and it read the disc. Unfortunately the windows install got interrupted and I had to reboot, and now it wont read the disc again. Is there any other way to install windows 7 to bootcamp, other than from the disc? Can I use FireWire and target disc my MacBook (the MacBook reads the disc just fine)?

    I have an ipad mini (6.1.3) I have connected it to my Mac Pro (OSX 10.6.4) via the thunderbolt/USB lead supplied. The device is not recognised in the finder or in itunes, though it does charge via this port. Is this an issue with my OS version? My itunes version? Is there a simple fix?

    An iPad isn't designed to mount as a drive in Finder, it should only appear in iTunes and (if you have photos on the iPad that were taken with it, copied it to it via camera kit, saved from emails/websites) then it should also appear in iPhoto, Image Capture and Aperture so that you can copy them off.
    But I think that you need iTunes 10.7+ to sync an iPad Mini running iOS 6, which I think requires OS X 10.6.8+

    I really need help. Productivity completely down since today. Just set um an all new Mac Pro. First thing after setup install all Apple updates. After that Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Lightroom. After the initial Installation of Photoshop, Creative Cloud told me an update was available. Installed that. When I started Photoshop after this update right at the beginning a message popped up that something could not be done. One okay click it's gone. I thought if that's all no problem. Just a message. But the I loaded some raws > NO lensprofiles can be loaded (yellow exclamation warning). Then I tried the liquify tool. Can work with the tool but if I want to apply changes a message appears. Something like it couldn't write the file because of some sort of protection error (Sorry have only the german messages).
    This is really ugly and so demotivating...
    Please help me!

    I absolutely have to apologize. The problems have all together nothing to do with Adobe. Meanwhile in could bringt my Mac Pro to full productivity due to the very kind help of people in this forum.

    - Missing lenscorrection in ACR > Definitely a problem of Nik filtersuite
    I LOVE photoshop and I'm somekind of happy the problems have nothing to do with Adobe ;)

    what a long post....Apple, btw, does not read this stuff, so ranting, raving, and complaining here might make you feel good, but it does no good at all. That being said, I, too have a Mac Pro Quad Core Xeon with 6 gigs of ram and an nVidia 8800 GT graphics card (not as good as yours, alas) and I've had no problems at all with it. Yes, it doesn't have Thunderbolt, but maybe we Mac pro owners will get lucky and someone will come out with an adapter (probably not). No, you probably don't have to throw away your Mac Pro, but if you do, I'll take it, for a small "recycling" fee >:-) That was a joke.  Yes, the Mac Pro's future isn't quite clear, YET. Hopefully that will improve very soon. As for not being able to upgrade to Mountain Lion. Don't worry about that too much, Nobody is forcing you to do that.  Your Mac Pro won't quit working if it isn't installed. From what  I've heard, you should give the new OS a chance, and wait to get it, in case there might be some bugs, or stuff not working with the new OS, which has been known to happen. Yes, we Mac Pro owners don't like being treated like mushrooms-kept in the dark, and being fed......... but Apple is Apple and it will do what it does, and there is nothing you or me can really do to change that. All I can say is....trust, have faith, be patient, go for a walk, do something else to take your mind off of this problem. IF apple decides to drop the Mac Pro for good, and that's a big "IF", I think they will anger a whole bunch of people
    which isn't good. However, that hasn't happened...YET. Let us hope that it doesn't
