I bought PSE 6 for my Mac years ago and have never learned how to use it. At that time, the key different between the Windows and Mac version of PSE was that the Mac version had no Organizer. As a result, I've always used iPhoto.
What is the most recent version of PSE for Mac? Is it version 9? And does it have an Organizer?
If so, do most people here with Macs use the Organizer to organize their photos or iPhoto?

Yes, and yes. It does have organizer, but the organizer is missing a lot of the features in the windows organizer, since this is the first time out for the mac version and it hasn't caught up.

how can i purchase a macbook air in Nigeria? apple has no shop in the entire country and independent dealers charge ridiculously sometimes more than double the prices of mac products without guarantee of getting it with required specifications. its sad cos Nigeria has a very large apple market plus phones and most recently ipads especially. its been frustrating trying to get a macbook, even have to wait for when someone will travel out of the country, then you send the person(thats if you have the money at that time). I wish to change my email account on my AppleID. But I am faced with having to go back and forth between old and new emails/accounts to get ALL my Mac products changed to the new email address. I have needed to delete acounts, and then reset accounts back to the old account to only re-delete or re-set.
Is there a specific order in which to do update all my Mac products? What item do I reset first, what product follows the next? I do not have an ipad but might as well add it to the list for when I do get one and have to do this all again.
What I have done so far-
My apple ID is currently set to the original email account (aol) that I wish to delete.
my icloud on my iphone has been deleted
my iTunes is set to the old aol account
Now... what item gets changed first, second.....First verify that your existing Apple ID password conforms to these rules:
If not, change your Apple ID password first.

Then, sign out of all the Apple services on all your Apple products. Use the link in Step 8 of this document as a checklist to make sure you do all of them:

when i burn videos to a dvd-r disc it works on my macbook but not on a windows/pc or my dvd player. How can i make it work on all the above and not just a mac product?
Unfortunately, the recording & movie industry does not respect the rights of the people who make them money, and thus you can only use the paid-for content in ways they see fit. Even if I lived in a bunker where no one else could possibly see the movie I paid for, therefor I'm not 'sharing it illegally', I would still not be allowed in a blue moon to copy that movie to DVD for TV viewing. Someone will tell you to get an AppleTV. How about Apple give us one for free? Until this changes, people wanting to use their content in multiple locations will continue to download music & movies via torrents, legally or illegally.

how do you permanently delete apps from all your mac products (MacBook Pro, iPad, iPhone)
They are not taking up storage space. Apple knows you installed them at one time (="purchased", whether you paid money or not), and merely keeps a list so that if you wish to reinstall any of them on this or a future device, you can. This is useful if maybe you deleted them due to space constraints, and now have a device with more memory and wish to reinstall.
It's also useful for taking a trip down Memory Lane looking at all the useless apps you installed once then immediately deleted once you realized they were total garbage ... -

If you mean that your iPad is not appearing in iTunes then have you got the latest version of iTunes (it needs version 10.2 +) and is your OS X version 10.5.8 + ? There is further troubelshooting help here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591

Turned off Layers visible on PDFs in Mac Products
I have several documents with what I call "reference layers" in them that I turn off when making a PDF. When I view the PDF on a Windows based machine, it is fine in both FireFox and IE. When viewing the PDF on a Mac product (iPad, iPhone, Mac desktop), the layers I have turned off are showing up in the PDF. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
If Mike's suggestion doesn't fix your issue, try this. When you save as a PDF with Create Acrobat layers on, the hidden layers can appear on older versions of Acrobat that do not support layers, and possibly other apps as well. Try un-checking this option. I believe a PDF saved with hidden Acrobat layers can have the hidden layers turned back on in Acrobat, so if you don't want anybody to see them, don't include them. On the other hand, if your PDF is complex and uses transparency, including layers should help prevent stitching.

Good morning , I bought my mac pro 13 ' in 2011 (OX 10.10) , in March 2014 I had to replace the video card , fortunately under warranty.
Today, after only eight months starting with the same problems !

I have a new MacBook Air 11'inch and I presume that it should come with the iLife programs. However, when I signed into the appstore with my account I have used with all of my Mac products, it now said I had to purchase each program, like iPhoto, iMovie, ect. seperate. I have already logged in and out of my account and called the "free" part of tech support. How can I reslove this issue?

If you really have a new MacBook, iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand come with the Mac for free.
As you see their price at the Mac App Store, it's clear that there's a problem with your MacBook. Simply return it if you purchased it less than 14 days ago and you will receive a new MacBook -

Hi. I just downloaded "angry birds" from the iTunes store. It says it was successfully downloaded and that I can use it on the two mac products I have. I can see an icon for it in the finder on the mac, but I can't figure out how to play the game. Anyone?

Would like to use an alarm clock. I need the alarm clock to function from the sleep mode. A review said that MAC products will not allow a program to wake up a Mac. Is this correct ? Are there any products in the Mac store what will function from the sleep mode ? How do I check this out ?
You can set times for your computer to turn on or wake from sleep in the Energy Saver system preference pane using the Schedule... button.

I have an old Sharp Video camcorder - it records in 8mm tapes. I have a nice little AV plug all ready to shoot out my kids' baby videos, so I can mix them and burn them to DVD -- iMovie is raring to go.

10.7.2 issues with Chrome/Firefox
After updating to 10.7.2, I've found Google Chrome and Firefox to be unreliable, crashing often! I'm up to date on both browsers, and can only deduce that the 10.7.2 update may be causing a conflict somewhere....Anyone else having this issue?
