Mac + PSE 3 + Picture package?

I have been trying to follow Scott Kelby's Elements 3 book to create a pict. package. I would like to put at least 2 different pictures into 1 package. Is this one of the componets to PSE 3 that is only available to PC users?
Does anyone know how to do this on a MAC?

Ok--I got 2 different pictures on an 8 1/2 x 11 paper. In pp I chose to print 2 5x7 picts. from these. What I got was 2 picts--the ones I chose, however size wise they are 2x3, and 2 1/4x2 1/2. So, what did I do to not get the 2 5x7's.
This is has become very expensive to do this--and I am very frustrated with it.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I did print out the help portion of PSE.
Oh--I also get the following message when I chose photos from iPhoto to put on these layouts...."With folder as the source, you cannot use all custom files. There is no place to put the files from the folder on the layout." What does all that mean besides my pictures don't appear when I want to print?

Is Picture Package gone with 64bit Mac?

I just downloaded Photoshop Elements 11 for Mac but Picture Package is grayed out. I've been trying to figure out if I can get a plug in to get it back.

Hi seebofish, Photoshop Elements 11 interface has been changed, now there are 3 workspaces called Quick, Guided and Expert.
Picture package and Contact Sheet options are available in Expert Workspace.
Try to select Expert Workspae and then you will see that Picture Package option will be available under File Menu.

How to print a picture package in PSE 13 for mac?

I can not print a contact sheet or a picture package in PSE 13 for mac. How do I enable this function?

I believe you need to be in the Expert mode in the pse 13 editor and then they are listed under the File menu.

Standard Picture Packages using PSE 10 with a Mac.

I am unable to print out a standard picture package using PSE 10 with a Mac. I like to print 3 4" X 6" Pic Package with different images. It is impossible. I had a PC and Elements 8 before with no problem. I followed all the help instructions to no avail. What can I do?

File>Picture Package>choose 8x10 for the working area and you should see:
Then go up to the top and choose an image. It will appear in all the zones. Just click a zone in the preview to change to another image. It's actually a more robust package than in organizer--you can save it as a file, for one thing, instead of having to recreate it each time. All printing in the mac version happens from editor, so that's where they put the picture package and contact sheet. You can also create and save custom layouts via the Edit Layout button. This is the same picture package and contact sheet that came for many years in PS, so if you look for PS tutorials (pre-CS6) you should be able to find very detailed instructions.

I recently upgraded to PSE 13 and the old way of printing picture packages no longer seems available. How do I print a picture package? thanks.

Which version of photoshop elements and operating system were you using before?

Why can't I print a picture package from Photoshop elements 11? I am using the trial version on my mac. I opened the editor and went to file. The picture package option was not in bold, therefore I was unable to click on it.

PSE 11 print quality and picture package options

I've been using PSE 5 since 2006, and figured it's time to check out what's new under the sun. I downloaded the PSE 11 trial version, whose editing function offers slightly better enhanced photos than PSE 5, but seems to fall short in two areas of importance to me: 1) When using the highest quality print settings, PSE 11 prints photos more quickly, but of lower quality than PSE 5. 2) PSE 5's "print multiple photos" feature lets me print an 8 X 10 photo with my choice of borders, whereas PSE 11's "picture package" feature seems to allow prints with choice of borders only up to 5 X 7. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I'll just keep my trusty PSE 5. Thanks for any assistance you're able to provide. Aloha, Peter

but that did not help
I also tried to remove all the present llayout-text files except my own, then there was NOTHING to chose from!
So her is one of the layout text file that I use with PSE2 and it is working, when I select paper size A4

A4 (3) 10.5 10.5 cm
0 0 10.5 10.5
10.5 5.2 10.5 10.5
0 10.5 10.5 10.5
That txt file did not show in the dropdown select layout,(setting paper size A4 or Letter)
I tried the following txt file, setting papersize Letter
with the same result

4.1 2.0 4.1 4.1
0 4.1 4.1 4.1
Since there are no (error) messages I do not understand the criteria to meet for showing this layout in the select dropdown list.

Photoshop elements 8 printing picture package stops working

When attempting to print a picture package, I get eratic results. Sometimes when selecting one or two photos it complete printing. I get the message that "elements has stopped working."

Being specific ... can you tell me what plateform on you are using PSE and the way you are trying to print.
Or you can do one thing easily : delete preferences of PSE and then try to use it for your purpose.
For deleting prefrences Launch PSE holding alt+shift+ctrl keys on windows or coomand+option+shift key on mac until you get the following message
Delete the settings and please lemme know if the problem exists.

Picture package in ps cs6

There is a pitfall using smart objects if you create templates and use replace content to to replace the embedded object to create a picture package for other images. For it to work well the replacement object need to be the same size as the original object. All the smart object layers in a picture package share a common single smart object. Each smart object layer has an associated transform which is not replaced or changed when you replace the embedded smart object content. If the replacement object size is not the same as the original image the associated transforms may produce something you not expecting....

If you are using windows and perpetual CS6 version not the subscription CS6 version you can install the CS5 optional Plug-in and get Picture Package working.    CS6 subscription version removed some Plug-in support that is used by the CS5 Pictture Package plug-in.    Mac users can not use Picture package in any version of CS6. The CS5 Mac picture package plug-in is a 32bit Plug-in and CS6 is 64bit only.
Window and Mac users can use Contact Sheet II however IMO its nothing like a Picture Package feature.    I have made available a Photo Collage Toolkit for Photoshop. In it there is a script PasteImageRoll that is more like a Picture Package function for a single tile size Picture Package then Contact Sheet II. I also modified my Batch collage script to populate a collage template using a single image file for all image location. So you can Populate a template of your design as a Picture Package.

Note: My batch script was written to populate collages its operation will be much slower then Photoshop old Picture Package plug-in. The script will save layered PSD files which can tweak before you print.   Paste Image Roll script requires no template and just creates a new document which it tiles your images into. It does not save or print it just creates a layer document which can tweak and print. You can also Flatten and save an image file.

16 bit Picture Package

I would like to have a Picture Package plugin that can produce 16 bit images from 16 bit files and runs with Photoshop in 64 bit mode on a Mac.

Adobe changed plug-in support In the Subscription version of CS6 so some old plugins like Picture Package and Web Photo Galery no longer work.
Adobe does not do a good regression testing they do not maintain Photoshop so it backwards compatible with previous versions of Photoshop. They remove features they have added and break features. Its a good idea to keep old version and not so old version of Photoshop around.
CC 2014 added and removed features and removes some support.
I have written Photoshop scripts that I use to do thing like Picture Package and Web Photo Gallery.

How can i remove white space between pics in picture package

i am using ps elements 3 and want to use picture package to set up and print multiple passport photos on a single page. passport photos must be 2"x2". When I import or select a photo taken with my photobooth app on my mac and select custom size, i get 20 images on a page. however, there is a white space of 1/2 inch around each image and the images are 1.5 " square rather than 2" square. How do i get rid of the white margins around the images so that they will come out to be 2x2?

The easiest answer would be to just get a Friskars cutter or something similar. I have one like this that I use to cut my photos apart. I found mine at a Walmart in either the scrapbook aisle or the hobby aisle.
However, if you are determined to make a custom picture package you can try making a custom layout with a text editor. I know you can control the white space amount but not sure if you can totally eliminate it.
A simple text editor will work...notepad works for this on Windows...not sure what is comparable on the mac.
In PSE3, the layouts are found following this path Adobe<Photoshop Elements 3.0<Shared Assets<Layouts...note there is also a folder titled Layouts readmes which shows the formula to edit the layouts.

If your running on Windows you can install the 64bit and 32 bit CS5 ContactsheetII plug-in into CS6. CS6 ContactsheetII is installed into Adobe's Required folder and will co-exist with CS5 plug-in installed into the Plug-in folder setup for third party plug-ins. In the Photoshop menu File>Automate> you will see two ContactsheeII itemes and one Picture Package items. Picture Package use to be in ContactSheeII. ContactSheetII was changes in CS6 for thers were errors in its dialog with the preview thumbnail and the size images would be and for some reason Adobe removed Picture Package from ContactSheetII in CS6. If you install the CS5 Plug-ins in CS6 do not forget to copy the Layout Folder into Presets Picture Packages needs that folder contents.
Mac user are out of luck here because CS5 ContactSheetII plug-in is only available in a 32Bit version and there is no Mac CS6 32bit Photoshop.
Mac and PC users can use my Photoshop Photo Collage Toolkit in CS6 as a poorer replacement for Picture Package. There are two scripts in that package useful for Pictire Packages.
1.) PasteImageRoll for creating single image size picture packages in a single document for pring on roll paper
2.) BatchPicturePackage will create Picture Package Collages. You need to create templates for the Picture Package layouts Images will be rotated for proper orintation.

Elements 10- picture package printing menu

When normally printing a single image in Elements 10, I can now use the print flow on having Elements manage the color instead of the printer because my Epson R3000 has paper profiles. However, when attempting to print a picture package the menu choice of - printer or elements manages the color is not available. What's up? What is managing the color output. The "advanced" menu only offers one menu box without any info on the correct setting. Also, not sure how to configure the printer menus, which is a separate issue. Unlike, CS3, I also can't save the package as a photo document. Am I missing something? Why can't I manage the printing like a regular image file? Thanks

Why not bring back the contact sheet II, picture package and web photo gallery back to the windows photoshop elements editor (where they used to be before the organizer) like the mac photoshop elements users have?

Can i get picture package for cs6

I need to upgrade my Mac OS and I'm not sure CS4 will work. I also have CS6 installed on my Mac. The problem is I need "picture package" Is there a way to get it for CS6. Don't recommend lightroom, I don't use it. (I use Capture One)

Customizing Picture Package Layouts

Is there a way to customize Picture Package Layouts in PSE 10? I have one image that I want to print 1in x 1in and completely fill a letter size sheet with that same image. Or, is there a way to tell PSE 10 to print out the one image 56 (or however many) times on the page and it would size it automatically? Either would work. Thanks!

Loading SONY Picture package software

Hi, this is my first post, so lets see how it all goes.
I have been a windows user and have just recently purchased my 24" imac.
All of my software/discs ext are windows compatable.
I have a SONY DCR-PC109E video camera. It cames with a SONY Picture Package Ver 1.0 disc. I cant load this disc onto the mac, the system doesnt recognise the format. I have tried everything and i'm now frustrated as ****.
Can anyone out there help me fix what is probably a basic proble??

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
A quick look at Google suggests that your video camera is a MiniDV camera with an iLink/Firewire connector. Simply connect the camera to your iMac using a 4pin-to-6pin Firewire cable (example) and load up iMovie to import the footage.

There is no need to use any other software; Sony provide that for Windows users you don't have any provided.
