Mac serial number?

I was searching for Mac Serial number but cannot find it. I was following the website from
'http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106486', and then just double-click the version text but it just said 'Serial Number System Sal#'..
Somebody know how to check the Mac Serial No.?

I just spoke to Apple Australia about the same issue. Basically they said that a Support Center has to manually re-input the serial number (no this can't be done yourself).
As for how to check it, turn off your computer, take out the battery and near the bottom left, it should have your serial number, as *The Fat One* said.

Just to make certain, you inserted the original installation disk and started the MBP holding down the C key? Did the Optical drive reject the disk or did it just spin? If the former, the lens in the drive may be dirty and needs to be cleaned. If the latter, you will have to take it to an Apple repair facility.

Full version of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for Mac - serial number not recognized

I just bought the full version of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for Mac as a download. I installed it, but it does not recognize the serial number which Adobe sent me!! Does anyone know a solution to this bizarre problem?

Unfortunately, your suggestion doesn't resolve my problem. I never had an older version of Acrobat (9 or 10) installed on this computer, which is a completely new Mac.
The only Acrobat package I had previously is the TRIAL version of Acrobat Pro XI ...

Hi I spoke to your team last week before ordering CS5 for my first time buy Mac.
I was told that I DID have a qualifying product running on my Windows laptop - I have a registred copy of CS3
I am trying to iinstall the new CS5 onto the Mac and I am told that the serial number is valid but does not qualify for the product I have bought on your avice

Can't activate my CS6 on my new Mac, serial number invalid.

THis seems like a straight forward issue. I bought my CS6 license when I had a Windows computer and now I have a new Mac. When I download and install the program to my Mac, my serial number does not work. I've called adobe customer support over 5 times, each time taking over 40min to explain the issue and still have not been able to install CS6 on my Mac. I need to use my programs today, please help!

Retrieve mac serial number from Time Machine backup

I recently had my 2007 Macbook stolen and I have no record of my serial number to report to police/insurance. I've tried looking it up from my apple ID but it's so old that the mac outdates any apple ID I've ever had. Is there any way to retrieve the serial number from a Time Machine backup?

It is possible to export and import selected mailboxes with the Mac OS X Mail application, and that would allow you to select only the mail that you want. Am I right that is what you want to do?
This article explains how you can do what you want -
Mail (Yosemite): Import or export mailboxes
Export the mailboxes from your older Mail application on the previous computer, then move the exported mailboxes, then import them into the new Mac's Mail application.

Can't find my Mac serial number

They stole my Mac book Pro and I want to make a police report . My Mac has tech Find my IPhone activated , I had that Mac under my Apple ID and iTunes but now I went to my Apple ID support page and under my devices my Mac is not there . I purchases my Mac thru best buy but I registered with Apple and it was on the cloud and iTunes too. Where can I find the serial number if it is not there on my Apple like my other devices ?

if you still have your MacBook Pro’s original box, its serial number will be on one of the stickers on the box. If you no longer have its original box, you can try contacting Apple directly since you’d registered it with Apple, or you can try contacting Best Buy direcly to see if they’d kept a record of exactly which MacBook Pro you’d purchased.

Need my Mac Serial Number

My Mac desktop was stolen.
If I give you the number of an ITunes receipt; could you give me the serial number of the computer that song was downloaded to?

And Apple can't give you that information either. The only information they could give you would be the same information included on the iTunes Receipt. Any additional information could only be obtained through a court order, and even then I doubt that the serial number is recorded in the transaction.

Mac serial number missing after main logic board replacement!?

After replacing the main logic board on a 15-days old brand new iMac G5 2 GHz 20-inch TFT, the computer serial number no longer shows on" Apple ()/About this Mac" or on "System Profiler/Hardware Overview/Serial number".
As far as I know that is normal, but my question is: is there a way to show the serial number (old or new) again? Resetting the Firmware perhaps?

But since techs are not themselves given (allowed) too much information, my feeling is that some of them do things in a different way, depending on how they understand it.
AASPs and Specialists do not alter serial number information in any way whatsoever, including transfer or assignment of serial number to new components. They are not given the proper tools to do it, and thus aren't supposed to hop into NetInfo or a text editor and change language project strings.
The French serial number assigned erroneously to that fellow's board got there because it was a refurbished board whose original serial number had never been wiped or Apple themselves assigned the wrong number, not because an inattentive service tech did anything wrong.
Now, if some service tech DID decide to take it upon himself or herself to hack a serial number there, you still need to contact Apple, 'cause that isn't supposed to happen, and you still don't have a proper serial attached to the board.
Believe me on this one.

I am having problem with My CS5 for MAC Serial Number.

Once I star installation it ask me to enter the serial number which I obtain from the adobe reseller in Dubai - After completion of installation it ask me again to enter the serial number and then an error comes :- THIS SERIAL NUMBER IS NOT VALID FOR THIS PRODUCT.
Even I uninstall and reinstall twice & thrice the problem is remain same.

The reason, I included the annotation that I'd upgraded my Itunes, (On my Computer) is B/C in many forums - the very first question, *HELPERS* ask, is. "Do you have the latest version of Itunes downloaded on your computer." I wanted to knock out any obvious replies.

No Device Informations like WiFi-Mac, Serial Number, IMEI...

we are using ZMM with some iPhones. Roling out a policy works fine, but I only get a few informations from the devices
like Battery Level, Capacity and some more.
But how do I configure ZMM to get more informations, like WiFi-Mac, SerialNumber, IMEI and Phone Number ?
Every iPhone (iPhone 4, 4S, 5 & 5s) with different IOS Versions only show "N/A" in this fields.
We are using ZMM 2.8.2. We started with 2.6.x and I thought that this informations will be available in newer versions. But nothing happened.
Any Ideas how to get this informations from all connected devices ?

Same problem. Mail sync works fine. Policys are working too. But there are now device informations like SN, IMEI and so on.
I opened a SR at Novell and I'm searching for a ZMM specialist in NRW/Germany.
