Mac to Office Jet Pro 8600 printer

I have a IMAC desk top connected to an Office Jet Pro 8600 running MAC OS 10.6.8. I cannot get the scanner to scan photo's to a specific size. I use the HP Utility but no matter what I try to do the scanned image only cooies from the front right corner of the scanner glass. How do I change the JPEG scanner size and how do I scan whatever size image I place on the glass?

I noticed that you are trying to scan photos to a specific size with your HP Officejet 8600, and I am happy to help!
I would recommend the following:
Reset the printing system. Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system.
Verify and repair disk permissions. Disk Utility 12.x: Repair disk permissions.
What size of paper are you trying to scan on the glass?

Office jet Pro 8600 Printing 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Cards won't print borderless

Using windows 7 operating systems have tried using many programs to print from. Always choose borderless. The best we have done is elementate the border on 2 sides. I don't know what else to do. Anyone have any ideas? These are invitations for a party so a quick response would be appreciated. Thank you

I suggest that you update the firmware following the steps in this document on Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates.
Here are the instructions for setting up borderless printing from the Officejet Pro 8600 User Guide page 43.
Print borderless documents (Windows)
1. Load paper in the tray. For more information, see Load media.
2. On the File menu in your software application, click Print.
3. Make sure the printer you want to use is selected.
4. To change settings, click the button that opens the Properties dialog box.
Depending on your software application, this button might be called Properties,
Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.
5. Click the Paper/Quality tab, and then click the Advanced button.
6. In the Borderless Printing option, click Print Borderless, and then click the OK
button.
7. In the Media drop-down list, select the appropriate paper type.
8. Click OK, and then click Print or OK to begin printing.

Office Jet Pro 8600 print jobs not printing

My printer was working wirelessly fine the other day, now it won't work. The laptop I am using is a HP and it will give the message that it is validating the printer, so I press Print and then it says "job successful sent" but nothing prints. When I check the print que there are no jobs waiting to be printed. What must I do to get it working again? I need my printer! Help..

I saw your post about your Officejet 8600 no longer printing wireless. I will help you the best I can with this! Please let me know which operating system you are running on your computer.
In the meantime, try Resetting the Printer and restarting your computer and trying the print again.
Also try printing from another program to see if prints will work from elsewhere.
Tip: Plug the printer in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help.

HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Printer Question

Trying to print at 110%. Used to be able to do that with my HP 5610 in the advanced options. Can't find that option on my new 8600.
Does someone know if it's available?

Up office jet pro 8600 printer preferances

I need a app or something that will allow my iPad to select printing duplex flip to short side, default is flip to long side . It duplex's but the back side is upside down, by default . I have tried everything I can think of but nothing yet.

I found it , the hpeprint.com mobile let me select duplex flip to short side and that is what I needed. I did it 4/28 now I need to do it again so I think I got it

HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus 910 n printer driver does not install on a windows server 2008R2 OS

I recently had a new server installed, a Proliant with a Windows Server 2008R2 operating system. I now just discovered that my All in One Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus A 910 will not install on the Windows Server 2008 R2, ïncompatible operating system. Does anybody have a workaround or solution?

I see that you are having an issue with installing the printer on to your Windows 7 computer.
I suggest that we start off by running the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If the Doctor fails, please let me know where it failed as well as any error codes you may see.

Wireless printing issue. Lonovo Think Pad v. Office jet pro 8600

I went through all 7 of the trouble shooting steps but still can't get my wireless printing to work with my Lonovo laptop T430 and my HP office jet Pro 8600 ..last resort was to join the forum so here I am. all connections appear to be on line and as they should be until I try to print a document. The print window tells me printer is offline but the printer network test tells me it passed all tests and is connected and ready. Using windows 7 operating system.

llbbsis, if everything passes my initial concern is that you might not be connected to the same network on your printer as your computer is connected to. So the first thing i would check is being sure that the SSID on both is the same and not something like "NetworkName" and "NetworkName -Guest."
Next, have you used the Print and Scan Doctor from HP? It is a good tool to diagnose and treat some of the smaller issues with printing:

Check those two things first and get back with me, if you need further help I am more than willing to do whatever I can to get the issue at hand taken care of.

I have an HP Office Jet Pro 8600 plus and I only need it to print out word documents and do not need color. For some reason the printer requires me to refill my yellow ink in order for me to print a document in greyscale. How can I change the settings so this doesn't occur?

HP office jet pro 8600 - wireless printing problem

I am having difficulty printing wirelessly from my iMac to my HP office jet pro 8600. Sometimes it will print, often after waiting hours. But quite often it does print and when I click on the printer icon there is a message that states: "Ready on Server. The printer is not responding. I have no problem or delay in printing from my iPad or iPhone. Tried turning the printer on and off.

when you set it up with your wireless router did you let the printer detect the connection. If so check the wireless channel the router is set to. I changed mine and wham, now it prints as soon as my finger hits the mouse button. Hope this helps.

You could use the one tray for envelopes and the other one for paper so you don't have to keep pulling out the stack of paper to print one envelope all the time.

Office Jet Pro 8600 plus printing in code or foreign language :(

I have been having issues with the print on my Office Jet Pro 8600 plus lately. In the beginning it was random but has becom regular.
At first glance, it appears to be printing in German in stead of English. It's possible that it may be code or encryption. Some of the characters run together. It seems like there may be a driver problem. This doesn't happen when I print to other printers.
One line looks like this: hf of sbuf e/!!SDSB !l X !jt ..... It should actually be something any of us could understand. It's becoming costly in both paper and ink.
Any suggestions?
