Hello Adobe team,
I bought an Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection as "Student and Teacher Edition" for MAC in 2013. I am now working in a pure Windows environment and would like to exchange the product in a Windows version. Alternatively, I could also imagine to sell my software and to use the cloud version. What are my options? 1. Is there a possibility to change to the windows version? 2. Is it allowed to sell the “Student and Teachers Edition”? And if so, only to students and teachers? No. The whole point of the special licensing is that it's meant to support people in education or else the low price wouldn't exactly make sense - if everyone just bought used edu licenses, Adobe would bankrupt in a predictable timeframe.

Is there a help searchbar in CS6 Indesign (Windows version)?
i like to know if there is a "help searchbar" available for indesign (windows version).
i know that there is one in the mac version, but i can't see one in the windows version?

it opens my web browser to the adobe website and does a google search kinda thing.

Possible to change from CS3 Windows to Mac?
I bought an imac recently, it has CS3 Master collection pre-installed (updatable and working as it should), it's just that it's the windows version and I'm running it through Parallels 3. Would it be possible that Adobe would allow me to change the version to a Mac version??? so i can run it from Leopard??
I have contacted technical support about this 4 days ago, but are yet to reply.

I read their eBay Web page.

I'll be polite. These guys are out-and-out pirates -- they're actually admitting it! NO legitimate dealer does this B.S. story. If a legitimate dealer sells you or bundles software and installs it for you, they always give you the ORIGINAL factory disks, manuals or quick-start guides, serial numbers, and registration paperwork for you to file.
Plain and simple, you were ripped off. No telling how many other unsuspecting folks (most likely Windows users) were robbed as well.
My recommendation: Please report them immediately to eBay, to Adobe ([email protected]), and law enforcement in their UK jurisdiction. If they have a business license, they should have it revoked. And, by the way, be sure to get your money back.
I'm telling you, if you call Adobe for the crossgrade, you're likely to be very unhappy with their response.
The lesson here is: if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Page margins can be adjusted from the page setup menu in the Windows version of Firefox, but there does not appear to be an equivalent menu in the Mac version.

I'm not familiar with the printing options using Windows. I've found this article on editing print options for a Mac: [[Printing a web page]]
That shows you how to shrink the page, and to edit page headers and footers. I'm hoping that covers the margins you were hoping to change.

Are these suggestions speficic to the Windows version of Firefox? Because on my Mac version (31.0) there is no "options" in the Tool menu.
I'm trying to figure out why Firefox has no spellcheck. I suspect it needs dictionaries installed, but it's a bit of a mystery. I had to reste FF as it kept crashing after I updated to V31.0Yes Options is for Windows.
On Mac you use "Firefox > Preferences" or the Preferences button in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list.
You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages submenu.
At least one dictionary should be installed and have a check mark to indicate that it is selected.
*Open the "Add Dictionaries" link to install a dictionary if you do not have one.
*Make sure that [X] "Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu is check-marked.
You can enable or disable spell checking globally:
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced : General: Browsing: "Check my spelling as I type"

all the best!It is usually impossible to get the MAC address of the maker of a HTTP request in any programming language or system.
At best, you can get the MAC of the closest intervening router, firewall, whatever.
Are you sure you mean the MAC address? MAC looks like this: 8:ab:f0:0:71:bb:90 (Ethernet), or 01-23-45-67-89-ab (Token Ring), etc, depending on your network type.
In contrast, an IP address looks like this: 209.249.116.195. If you want the IP address, check out the javadoc for HttpServletRequest and ServletRequest. Caveat: load balancers, web caches, proxy servers, etc will mask the "true" peer's address. Don't do anything silly like try to use the IP address for security or authentication. -
I have a web site built by Yahoo Web Site Builder which does not have a Mac version, is there any compatability between Iweb and the old Yahoo program? If not how do I clear off the old site so as to re publish with Iweb.
iWeb cannot import published files so you would need rebuild the site.
Yahoo hosting is notoriously poor and their tech support is awful. I would suggest you look for new hosting and start afresh. Some pointers for choosing hosting...

Hello, I've got a Upgrade-Version of CS5.5 for Windows and changed to a Mac. Now I need the Mac-Version. I tried to install the Download from Adobe. Unfortunatly it didn't accept my password. In both cases, the answer is pretty much the same; go to the site (below), drill down to the version you want, on the platform you use (windows/mac/linux), in the language you use, and download it, then run it.
There is no need to uninstall the previous version.

I think most "usability" issues with Thunderbird would be addressed by using TB v24.6. I'm not so sure what would have changed in Firefox to annoy you. ;-) -
I try to open iphoto and it comes up with You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto. I have downloaded photo manager and it's telling me to update but it wont update...
iPhoto is Apple's included program to manage your photo's and pictures.
It receives updates over time with Software updates and new machine or iLife purchases.
When iPhoto gets updated or a newer version is used, it may alter iPhoto support files, but newer iPhoto versions usually always compatible with older files which it then updates.
If you used a newer iPhoto on your iPhoto support files, then they got altered to the newer format, older iPhoto versions can't read the older format.
Somewhere along the line you somehow got a older version of iPhoto on your computer, you need to fine the newer version of iPhoto (not this photo manager, sounds like another program)
Or somewhere along the line you used a newer iPhoto version (like on another Mac) and it altered the iPhoto support files on your older version of iPhoto.
So the key here is to find the newest version of iPhoto and use that to access your iPhoto support files.
If you didn't access your iPhoto support files from another Mac, then you should have the newer iPhoto version on your computer.
Once you find it, and get it in the Dock, you should remove the older iPhoto version from your computer to prevent this from happening again.
Lastly, if the newer version of iPhoto is somehow gone off your computer, you should be able to get a copy off the latest OS X install disk or iLife using a free program called Pacifist.

I accidentally deleted GarageBand on my MacBook Pro, version 10.6.8. The new version of GarageBand is only compatible with 10.9 and above. Is it possible to still get the older version? OR, can I get another copy of the startup CD that came with my computer so that I can reinstall GarageBand?
The new version of GarageBand is only compatible with 10.9 and above.
If your Mac can run MacOS X 10.6.8, it probably can be upgraded to Yosemite, if you don't have to stick to Snowleopard for other reasons.
Is it possible to still get the older version?
Amazon or eBay are still selling iLife '11 installer disks, and you could reinstall GarageBand from these DVDs. But it will be expensive.
Have you checked your backups, if you can restore GarageBand from a backup?
OR, can I get another copy of the startup CD that came with my computer so that I can reinstall GarageBand?
Sometimes the AppleStore Support will replace missing installer CDs for a fee. -

Is it possible to change just the ram on the motherboard (G5) or do you have to change the whole motherboard?
I do understand that... but this is the problem - The computer freezes when it is put to sleep (and sometimes more frequently). Apple told me that it could be three things: ram, hard drive or the motherboard. - take the ram out and then put the computer to sleep, if it still freezes than it is one of the other two and not the ram. They told me that there is ram on the motherboard. So I tried that and the computer wouldn't even boot up. So I thought the problem is the motherboard and possibly the ram on the motherboard. I really have no idea what I am doing, I just don't want to have to throw a $3,500 (when new) computer away.
