Mac will not connect to apple tv

when I go to display and then airplay display and check apple tv I get the message cannot connect to apple tv. I am on the same network.

You do not need to connect/pair the devices to use Airdrop. All you need to do is have Bluetooth on and on the same Wi-Fi network. Which exact model of AirPort Express do you have? Which wireless security type is it configured for? Does your Windows XP PC support this type? Can the PC connect if you disable wireless security on the AirPort?

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

Mac will not connect to internet

Hello I have two macs that will not connect to my time capsule's internet. I know it is not the TC because I have a pc that is right next to it with the same settings as the mac and can connect to the internet. I wonder what the issue is.

Go to the System Preferences and Network and when the Box opens make sure that you are set to Automatic and below that the name of your Network is in there and finally in the box on the left that Wireless or Airport is selected and Drag it to the top of the list and the Green Dot is on the Wireless Network that is selected.
Then repeat it on both computers.

DHCP disappeared and Mac will not connect to internet!

When my Macbook's config is switched to DHCP the Airport Express will not connect to the internet but when it is PPPOE it has not problem at connecting. I never had this problem before but now I am worried and want my DHCP back because it is interfering with other configurations.

IPhone 4 will not connect to Apple

No matter how hard I try, or how many times I try I cannot get my sister in law's iPhone 4s to update it's software to 5.1 Despite it being connected to a strong wireless signal that I managed to update mine from on my laptop, it downloads the update but then says '"........s iPhone cannot be updated at this time because the iPhone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable."
I have been trying to update my brother in law's iphone 4 from 4.3.2 to 5.0.1 also for over a month, when I go around and visit, was always the same message. I thought it may have been his phone.
I feel I am missing something fairly basic here. The phones download the updates in iTunes, they backup, iTunes extracts the software update, but it gives in when it's time to connect to Apple and verify the update. Doesn't matter how many times I try it.
Any ideas?

Mac will not connect to airport

I am trying to connect to a disk attached to my airport base. when I click on it in finder it says connecting as and hangs. If I click disconnect it hangs. I am not doing this from and admin account so I would like to use the connect as button but that is no where to be seen. Obviously I am missing things about id, passwords and network connectivity. can anyone point me to documentation on this or at least how to set up an airport base so I can access the shared disk?
I am using the latest osx on a 1 year old iMac with a brand new airport base with time capsule.

Welcome to the Support Communities! Were your Airport Extreme and Mac Pro communicating earlier? If so, what changed?
First try shutting down the computer, and recycling the power to the Airport Extreme. Then start the Mac Pro and see if that resolves the issue.
If needed, perform a Hard reset of the Airport Extreme:

10.6.8 Bluetooth will not connect to Apple keyboard

I just upgraded to 10.6.8 and my Apple keyboard, which came with the iMac, can't be recognized by the iMac. My old bluetooth keyboard from my old G5 iMac is recognized and works OK. The little green light on the upper left side of the keyboard just keeps blinking. In the keyboard setup it just keeps searching for the keyboard. Anyone have any ideas to get the new keyboard to connect?

Yes. It's a golden rule to never underestimate the power of coincidence, always expect the unexpected, and that whatever is extremely unlikely will happen at some point.

MAC will not connect to PC.

I have installed Network Magic on my iMac and two Windows PCs. From the MAC I can see the windows files in Network Magic but when I try to open them I get "Unable to open folder called ......on PC. The folder is currently unavailable." From the PCs I can see and open the files on the mac no problem.

Hi there, can you please post some addtional info so that the Cisco Network Magic Support Community here on the Linksys Forums can assist you? The info that is needed is as follows:
1. Your Network Magic Version installed: example: 5.1.8345.0
2. The type of connection to the Internet, like DSL, Cable, or Verizon FIOS Internet Connection.
3. The Brand of Modem and its Model Number the router is connected to.
4. The Brand, Model, Hardware Revision of your Router and include the Firmware Version: Linksys WRT54G v8.2 Firmware Version 8.2.05
5. The Method of connection your problem computer has to the Router: Wired or Wireless.
6. The Connection in use on the problem computer: Ethernet Port is a PCI Adapter Card, Linksys WMP54G v4.1
7. Operating system and version and Service Pack Level, if any. Ex. Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Service Pack 1
8. Software Firewall in use: McAfee Personal Firewall 9.0.136 Build
9. Also if any Anti-Virus Program or Spyware Program is actively protecting your computer. (Some Programs like Spybot does cause problems, not being able to go to specific sites.)
10. Include your location in the post or fill out your Profile for this forum and include the location. (Reason: Not all Routers from a given manufacturer are available everywhere.)
11. Post the link to your Router Model, if an off-brand Router or not found in the USA on the Manufacturer's USA's Website. (Why? Posters helping each other, aren't working for Linksys or Cisco, so make it easier on the posters helping on.)
12. And any other information you think is important if answering your own post, and the nature of the problem, itself.
13. By posting all this information, you can hopefully get help from someone that has the same equipment that you have and theirs is working. Not everyone has the same equipment.

My mac will not connect to my iPad in iTunes... what's going on?

Recently I tried to connect my iPad to my Mac to sync music. I PLUGGED IT IN, and it started charging, but iTunes would not acknowledge it. I tried a WiFi sync. The iPad saw the Mac, but the Mac was still blind. The iPad is on the device list, and it has been since I got the Mac. My iTunes is up to date, I've restarted the Mac and the iPad more than once. My iPhone connects without issue. Help!

iPad 2 (2011) iOS 7.0.4
MacBook 2009 White OS X 10.9 (latest of Mavericks)
iPhone 5c (2013) iOS 7.0.4 (NOT an issue)

TS4185 my facetime on my mac will not connect with anyone. the other side can see me trying to facetime them but when they try to connect nothing on my side shows connection just keeps trying to ring them.
