    1) go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> click '''Settings...''' button infront of Connection -> select option1 -> Click OK -> OK
    2) go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> click '''Settings...''' button infront of Connection -> select option2 -> Click OK -> OK
    3) go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> click '''Settings...''' button infront of Connection -> select option3 -> Click OK -> OK

  • My laptop will not connect to the internet

My laptop will not connect to the internet but my desktop and other laptops will. Can anyone suggest anything?

Yes I don't see problems there.
I presume the 10.0.2.29 on the Mac is just a typo.
There is a good chance windows is just being stupid, which is not surprising.
    Reboot the whole system.
Restart in correct order.. modem.. TC.. 2min gap between them, and then PC.
Test with just the PC running.
See if you can open a web page.. no luck
In the command window again, ping the various IP addresses.
    So ping 10.0.1.1 first.
    Then ping 8.8.8.8
If those pings work, then try and ping a website. eg www.google.com
    Does that work or not?
If ping works and the web pages won't open that is one of those hard ones.
Make sure under network in the PC it is located at home.. not work or public. Windows has this nasty habit of flipping itself autonomously between these settings.. take off the firewall if it is still a problem.
And finally go into the TCP/IP settings and change the DNS to 8.8.8.8

  • My macbook pro is connected to wifi but it will not connect to the internet.

My macbook pro is connected to wifi but it will not connect to the internet. When I go on safari, it says that "Safari can't verify the identity of the website". Then I tried to update flashplayer but you need the internet to update it. All this only started happening after that Moutain Lion software was downloaded onto the laptop. Please help, I have been internet-less for a couple months now.

My ipad recognizes my home network but will not connect to the internet. When I click on AirPort/preferences at the top of the imac screen it says..."AirPort has a self-assigned ip address and may not connect to the internet". If this is the root of the problem, how can I change ip address?
Ipad will connect no problem to other networks.

First thing you need I think is to get your iMac connected to the Internet.
Shut down your iMac and you iPad. Then power off your router. Wait 30 seconds and power up the router.
After the router indicates that it is connected to the Internet then start up your iMac and see if it connects. If the iMac connects to the Internet then your iPad should too.
If this power up sequence doesn't work you'll have to dig into the router setup to make sure it is working properly.

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

  • My Macbook Pro will recognize my network but will not connect to the internet

My macbook will not connect to the internet at home.  It works fine on other networks, but at home it will recognize my network name but says it will not be able to connect to the internet.  This issue just sort of came up randomly.  I have shut the router off (I use Verizon Vios) and reset it and that doesn't work.  The little Wifi status at the top of the screen just has an exclamation point over it.  I haven't changed any of the default network settings.  It just stopped working.  When I take it to work and use their network or free wifi available at stores etc...it connects just fine.  A few weeks ago upgraded my operating system to Mavericks, but it has worked up until this morning.

Do this. Go to Apple menu / System Preferences / Network.
In the left column, click Wi-Fi. Next click Assist me, then Assistant. Follow the on screen instructions.

I have an iPhone 4s, but wifi the option is greyed out. The wifi stopped working on it months ago. Now I wanted to erase all content and setting from my old 4s and it will not connect to the internet, because the cellular data is no longer connected, since I bought a new iPhone 5c. I can't erase my phone by pluggin it into my Macbook Pro, since I can't disable the "Find my iPhone" App without internet. How do I erase all the data and setting on my 4s without connecting to the internet? It is running ios 7

I just did it. To enter DFU mode, I had to use "method 3" on this post
    http://thebigboss.org/guides-iphone-ipod-ipad/dfu-mode
Too bad my 4S is 2 years old. Wifi is dead. I had to upgrade to 5S, but 5S is soooooo much faster than 4S so it's kind of good outcome. Without the 4S breaking down, a stingy person like me would have never upgraded the phone.

hmm, well I would say that raises the possibility of an issue with your ipad, and lessens one with your router.

  • My laptop compaq presario will not connect to the Internet anymore after buying airport extreme. Why? It detects the network, accepts my password, but will not connect to Internet.

My laptop compaq presario will not connect to the Internet anymore after buying airport extreme. Why? It detects the network, accepts my password, but will not connect to Internet. I tried to repair connection, tried to reboot modem several times, I even updated my computer. Nothing. All it says is that it does not detect modem. Why?

Welcome to the support community group.
First, are you sure that your AirPort Extreme has been configured correctly and is properly connected to your modem?
Begin by telling us how you have things connected and if the Airport Extreme is replacing a previously owned router or is this an entirely new installation?
First be sure that your modem is working and properly connects you to the internet using an ethernet cable directly connected to your laptop.  Once you're sure that's working, reset the AirPort to factory defaults by disconnecting it from power and pressing and holding in the small reset button on the back  for 15 - 20 seconds while you reconnect it to power.  Then turn everything off for 5 minutes. Connect the Airport to your modem with and ethernet cable to the Airport WAN port on the back (check the user guide to make sure you connect the cable to the correct port) then connect a second ethernet cable between the laptop and one of the LAN ports on the AirPort Extreme.
Then power up the modem first, wait 5 minutes and then power up the Airport, wait 5 minutes and finally power up your laptop.
Then run the airport configuration utility from your laptop.  Since you're not using an Apple computer, be sure that all of your firewall, and virus blocking and checking software is disabled before you run the airport configuration utility.  Once you run the utility, it should detect your AirPort and allow you to use the configuration wizard to set things up.
Check back if you're still having problems.
